I have been out of practice, but just reading the crap Michael Savage , amongst many, have to endure when the attack dogs of Allah arm themselves with Western law to silence one and all, well, it just compels me to give my regards to Mohammad. Bhutto’s Requests for Security Help Unmet

Slain Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto had tried to hire Israeli security personnel.

Relatives of Bhutto, who was assassinated last week in a shooting and bombing attack, had asked Israel to supply her with Shin Bet bodyguards, Ma’ariv reported Sunday.

The idea of supplying Bhutto with Israeli government agents was immediately ruled out in Jerusalem, which has no formal ties with Islamabad. But there were alternative proposals to put her in touch with private Israeli security companies or retired personnel from the Shin Bet or Mossad intelligence agencies.

“We could have been more sensitive and quicker, but we dragged our feet on this Bhutto issue, and that’s a shame,” Ma’ariv quoted an unnamed Israeli diplomatic official as saying.

Similar requests that Bhutto made to U.S. and British security agencies also went unmet.

Muslim Apostates and Caliphate Dreams

When my archives are restored, there will be amongst the many posts from years past those that are dedicated to what I have referred to as “reasonable voices”; a euphemism, actually, for Muslim apostates. In the beginning, after 9.11, I was quite hungry to find these reasonable voices. Alas, time has demonstrated that they are quite rare. The following excerpt is from one such Muslim apostate who describes an afternoon at the mosque.

“Brother, the implementing of the khilafah is a great obligation upon each and every Muslim. It is haram [forbidden] to remain for more than three days without a pledge to a khaleefah being on your neck. It is haram to rule by anything other than Islam and to stay silent about the implementation of kufr laws over us”.

His voice is carrying across the courtyard and he promptly shifts to third-person.

“Due to this, Muslims all over the world are sinful in the sight of Allah and they will all receive punishment except those who involve themselves in establishing the khilafah and restore the ruling by that which Allah has revealed. The sin will not be lifted from their necks until the khilafah is established, and whosoever dies without a bay’ah [oath of allegiance to a would-be khaleefah] on his neck will die the death of jahiliyyah [ignorance].”

As Americans are fond of saying: like, whoa.

“So, it is obligatory for every Muslim to help establish the khilafah?”, I ask.

“Yes, brother”. He looks at me pointedly. “The daleel [evidence] is laid out in the Koran and the Sunnah, and any Muslim who refuses to help establish the khilafah has committed a clear act of kufr and this takes them outside the fold of Islam”.

His mention of apostasy is pregnant with implications of sudden death. And by this time, more of his colleagues are gathering around to listen to this exchange.

“So, you’re basically saying: it’s obligatory for every Muslim to be subject to all the laws and customs of Islam but the only way for this to come about is by establishing the khilafah, right?”

“Brother, it’s not me who is saying this”. He holds up a Koran. “Rather, this is God’s command to each of us as laid out in the Koran and Sunnah. To be ruled by Islam is an obligation upon our necks. Establishing the khilafah is the only method for establishing Islam over our heads. Only in the presence of the khilafah can the laws of Islam exist and in its absence they are suspended. Brother, there is a very important, well-known Shari’ah principle that says: that which is necessary to achieve an obligation is itself an obligation”.

Whenever I read these calls for the caliphate, as are quoted here, I’m amazed that the left can read the same material and yet still consider Islam a “religion” of benign intentions. These are not the isolated rantings of a few clerics and imans, but a call for domination that is harbored in the very heart of Islam. Yet, the left claims that Christians are just as worrisome. While there may be calls for a Christian nation, unlike the Koran, there are no mandates in the bible that demands Christianity be imposed upon all.

I left him a link to this column by Ralph Peters in The New York Post who has a knowledgeable and down to earth assessment of Bhutto and how her death will do more for Pakistan than if she’d become Prime Minister.

A Green Weenie Wet Dream

If it isn’t the Islamists, it’s the damnable Green Weenies with their wealth redistribution global warming hysteria. Ligneus ‘s post on the same reminded me of a recent piece that exemplifies the spirit of the socialist left.

This arrogant ass, David Lindorff, finds solace in what he imagines to be the forthcoming devastation of the conservative populations who would supposedly bear the brunt of global warming.

…what we see is that huge swaths of conservative America are set to face a biblical deluge in a few more presidential cycles.

Then there’s the matter of the Midwest, which climate experts say is likely to face a permanent condition of unprecedented drought, making the place largely unlivable, and certainly unfarmable. The agribusinesses and conservative farmers that have been growing corn and wheat may be able to stretch out this doomsday scenario by deep well drilling, but west of the Mississippi, the vast Ogallala Aquifer that has allowed for such irrigation is already being tapped out. It will not be replaced.

So again, we will see the decline and depopulation of the nation’s vast midsection—noted for its consistent conservatism.

Already the Salton Sea is fading away and putting Palm Springs on notice that the good times are coming to an end. Another right-wing haven soon to be gone.

So the future political map of America is likely to look as different as the much shrunken geographical map, with much of the so-called “red” state region either gone or depopulated.

There is a poetic justice to this of course. It is conservatives who are giving us the candidates who steadfastly refuse to have the nation take steps that could slow the pace of climate change, so it is appropriate that they should bear the brunt of its impact.

The important thing is that we, on the higher ground both actually and figuratively, need to remember that, when they begin their historic migration from their doomed regions, we not give them the keys to the city. They certainly should be offered assistance in their time of need, but we need to keep a firm grip on our political systems, making sure that these guilty throngs who allowed the world to go to hell are gerrymandered into political impotence in their new homes.

There will be much work to be done to help the earth and its residents—human and non-human—survive this man-made catastrophe, and we can’t have these future refugee troglodytes, should their personal disasters still fail to make them recognize reality, mucking things up again.

It should be considered acceptable, in this stifling new world, to say,

“A firm grip on our political systems…”? I see, the “refugee troglodytes”, are expected to emerge like so many repentant serfs onto their “higher ground”, but can expect no say in the America that they are still, presumably, citizens of. And what about the conservatives who happen to live in the regions that the socialists apparently will have decided it is their right to appropriate as their own? Will they have to wear the mark of the beast to signify that they are lesser citizens? What about Jews and Christians, will they be “gerrymandered” too?

The author is right on one count. Should the left prevail, it will indeed be a stifling new world. With their complicity, it will be a world under an Islamic thumb. And in that world, quite frankly, fools like Lindorff who might seek refuge from sharia and the murder of women and gays will be met with a bullet if they seek safety in my foxhole. Why bother with gerrymandering? After all, I told them that they are failing to “recognize reality”. Sadly, thanks to fools like Dave Lindorff, there is far, far more probability of Islam devastating America than climate change.

There have been a number of cases where people such as kindergarten teachers have been accused of abusing the young children in their charge. Basing their case on testament dragged out of the children by psychiatrists and social workers, police and prosecutors have succeeded in getting convictions. the unfortunate adults whose protestations of innocence were dismissed out of hand ending up in prison. The cause of the prosecution’s certainty lay in their belief in ‘repressed memory’, that traumatic events were ‘forgotten’ to protect the patients’ mental well being. There was also the mantra at the time of ‘children never lie’.

Reverse Rape-ism?

How can people who think like this function in the real world? It is a racist act for an Israeli soldier to refrain from raping a Palestinian woman. And such idiocy is rewarded.

Hebrew University has just awarded a research prize to a graduate student’s essay in which she claims that Israeli soldiers are “racists for not raping Arab women.”(See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/124674 )

This is no joke—anyway, who could make this up? The graduate student is a woman named Tal Nitzan. Her anthropological essay has been published by the Hebrew University’s “Shaine Center.”

Nitzan writes that the “lack of IDF rapes of Palestinian women is designed to serve a political purpose.” Since Israel fears the Palestinians demographically, IDF soldiers have been trained not to rape the women in order to avoid creating new Palestinians and little intifaders. (Has Nitzan never heard about Palestinian honor killings in which pregnant-out-of-wedlock or adulterous women are murdered by their families who love them too much?) Nitzan alleges that the “lack of military rape merely strengthens the ethnic boundaries and clarifies the inter-ethnic differences—just as organized military rape would have done.”

Thus, Israeli racism, which “de-humanizes” Palestinian women, suppresses Jewish male lust—which proves that Israeli soldiers are racist oppressors. As the only army that does not, apparently, rape, Nitzan fails to grapple with other reasons for this, including the possibility that Israeli soldiers are acting in an ethical and civilized manner.

The fact is that the global temperature of 2007 is statistically the same as 2006 and every year since 2001′

Global warming stopped? Surely not. What heresy is this? Haven’t we been told that the science of global warming is settled beyond doubt and that all that’s left to the so-called sceptics is the odd errant glacier that refuses to melt?

Aren’t we told that if we don’t act now rising temperatures will render most of the surface of the Earth uninhabitable within our lifetimes? But as we digest these apocalyptic comments, read the recent IPCC’s Synthesis report that says climate change could become irreversible. Witness the drama at Bali as news emerges that something is not quite right in the global warming camp.

The Global Warmists are the same fools that are always with us, the appeasers of the thirties, Vietnam and Iraq, the Marxist fellow travellers, the anti-Americans, the PC multi-culti Utopianists, and, you know, the world could pretty much be the better place they think they are the only ones capable of bringing about if they’d just shut their mouths for a while and get out of the way of the grown ups. It’s kinda funny how they never learn from being proven wrong time and again and just morph into some other feel good, self aggrandizing scheme.

In the Aug 2007 issue, S Fred Singer takes on the Global Warmists, he quietly and efficiently refutes their claims and exposes the scam that the CO2 reduction campaign is, briefly cites the natural causes of warming, the policy consequences and the science v. the hysteria.

He concludes:

The nations of the world face many difficult problems. Many have societal problems like poverty, disease, lack of sanitation, and shortage of clean water. There are grave security problems arising from global terrorism and the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Any of these problems are vastly more important than the imaginary problem of man-made global warming. It is a great shame that so many of our resources are being diverted from real problems to this non-problem. Perhaps in ten or 20 years this will become apparent to everyone, particularly if the climate should stop warming (as it has for eight years now) or even begin to cool.

We can only trust that reason will prevail in the face of an onslaught of propaganda like Al Gore’s movie and despite the incessant misinformation generated by the media. Today, the imposed costs are still modest, and mostly hidden in taxes and in charges for electricity and motor fuels. If the scaremongers have their way, these costs will become enormous. But I believe that sound science and good sense will prevail in the face of irrational and scientifically baseless climate fears.

With all due sympathy for folks who feel compelled to remove a penis or add one, grow breasts or cut them off, “sexual confusion” should remain between those so afflicted and their shrink. Though, no doubt , a “mental health professional” is likely the reason they are sexually confused to begin with.

But here is the thing. You start imposing your gender politics on me and mine, you are going to have a fight on your hands. I have grandchildren who will NOT be taught that their gender nor their sexuality is up for debate simply to accommodate the agenda and ideology of social engineering elites.

I don’t write much on gender politics because I find Islamists a tad more worrisome. But, I am damn sick of the gender/gay agenda being rammed down my throat in the culture and media. But I can turn off the TV and I haven’t bothered with Hollywood’s pathetic products since their true colors became evident since 9.11.

Whatever sympathy that I may have had for those who participate in “alternative lifestyles” has long since been exhausted by their insistence that I tolerate the imposition of their sexual dysfunctions via a relentless political agenda. When it comes to censoring my free speech, designating my criticism of “alternate lifestyles’ as a hate crime and imposing an agenda via the schools and the courts- well, then the gay/gender apologists are on the same political turf as the Islamists as far as I am concerned. I no more want my grandchild taking a course that presents Islam as “just another religion” than I want him taught that homosexuality is just another lifestyle. Yet, should Islamists and gay rights activists get their way, my right to defend my beliefs will be severely truncated or all together denied.

But no matter what antipathy I feel for the gender benders, they are not known to behead their opponents. The battle with them is best left for another day. If Islam continues to gain ascendancy in this country, their issues will become moot.

How Much Money Does the US Send to Egypt?

Yes, here we have more evidence of Islamic tolerance. Dare we say that Muslims have a problem with Christo-phobia. Oh my gosh! What was I thinking? Loathing Christians is a central tenet of Islamic faith. How insensitive of me.

Egyptian security sources say at least seven Muslims have been arrested after they destroyed Christian-owned shops and buildings in southern Egypt.

Police on Sunday said the detainees smashed windows, hurled stones and set fire to 13 stores and a church during riots late Saturday in the city of Isna.

Sectarian tensions between Muslims and Christians are commonplace in southern Egypt. But Saturday’s riot was reportedly in response to alleged violence against a Muslim girl by Christian boys.

Yeah, I bet. A Muslim girl stands a far better chance of being murdered by her Islamic father or brother defending their pathetic notion of honor than she will ever have of coming to harm at the hands of the dreaded infidel.

And really now, how much money does America supply to Egypt? And this is the best that they can do in keeping their murderous muslims off the streets?

In a separate development Sunday, an Egyptian military court dropped terrorism charges against 40 members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Legal sources say the defendants still face charges of membership in an illegal organization.

The Brotherhood’s number three leader, Khayrat al-Shater is among the defendants.

Egypt’s government banned the Brotherhood in 1954.

Authorities often carry out raids against the group. But the Brotherhood operates openly and its members hold more than one fifth of the seats in Egypt’s parliament, where they sit as independents.

Drive-By Posts, Jewish Refugees, and Princeton Brownshirts

Note: One of the reasons that it became difficult for me to post regularly is that I have been taking on freelance blogger assignments. I refer to myself as the inadvertent blogger. Long story made short…

My several years of blogging to RoadSassy (SpicedSass) led to an offer, in 2003, from a local boat broker to develop a blog for boaters in the region. It proved to be an education, given that blogging had not even begun to enter the public consciousness. Be that as it may, I have always loved writing and I can get lost in research. So it was with great delight that I began delving into river lore, burying myself in the boating life, visiting harbors, interviewing the colorful denizens who make their living working on the vital waterways that are critical to the commerce of this nation. It was a three year labor of love. Sadly, the owners became embroiled in money disputes which lead to the destruction of the company and the loss of all of our jobs.

However, I was determined to continue trying to earn a living from writing online. A prior bout of cancer had totally derailed a career as a personal trainer, throwing me into the horror of being unable to earn a living. It is a story for another time but, suffice to say, I was, and am, determined to find a way to earn a dollar from a hospital bed should my old enemy ever return. I never again wanted to become dependent on any outside agency or a become a burden to my family.

Fortunately, the Internet opens an entire world of opportunities that did not exist a mere decade ago. I hardly have the “credentials” to make a living as a blogger. I have no geek in me, find the Web 2.0/social networking brouhaha to be annoying and far too self-congratulatory -and that would probably be because I am not of the ‘x’ or ‘y’ generations, who, more or less, own the net – so to speak.

But I do have a certain way with words that, so far, has earned me a living. Like all freelance, nothing is certain. For the past year I was so buried in work, there wasn’t any time or energy left for this site. Then, out of nowhere, the dude I freelanced for went AWOL. Boom. No work. The daily quota of posts that I contracted for had consumed the majority of my time and I hadn’t made any efforts to secure other sources of income.

So, finally having some time, I took the opportunity to move this site off of B2 and on to WordPress. A move I am well pleased with, by the way – I highly recommend WordPress. There are a few years of archives that need to go up yet, but I have managed to crank out a few posts between looking for new assignments. Ligneus will soon be adding his wit into the mix and, hopefully, Road Sassy will truly be back on the road.

Fortunately, I have secured some more work, but I am determined not to let RoadSassy suffer as a result. Thus, I am introducing “Drive-by Posts”. As I research my other work, I am always running into items I would love to post here, but time prevents my giving any one item a comprehensive treatment. Well, who says every bloody post has to be a damn essay. So, I am going to begin experimenting with just quick quotes and see if I like the results.

How’s that for a long winded intro to the item that I post below. I think we are all well aware that freedom of speech is under severe threat from the left and Islam. We know too well of the censure that conservative students face on campuses across the nation. The war on Christians is rolling along as steadfastly as ever, but the pronounced rise in anti-semitism continues to , well, just frankly blow me away. I mean, good Lord, just look at this:

Joe Horn

I know that the Joe Horn controversy has slipped under the media radar, but what Joe Horn represents is an issue that will not go away as long as there are liberals after our guns and race hucksters who are looking for fresh victim meat to exploit.

But the video below is my focus. It’s rather long, but, it is so damn refreshing to see and hear real Americans adamantly defending a man who acted in defense of his neighbor’s property. And yes indeed, defense of property trumps the lives of those who choose to trespass. When the usual race hucksters made an appearance on Joe Horn’s street to turn a simple case of self-defense into a race based farce, the folks showed up. Enjoy…

Now Joe Horn is the recipient of the usual death threats. Please also note that the recipients of Mr. Horn’s bullets were illegals from Columbia, one culprit already having been deported once for narcotics violations.

An anonymous death threat was made against the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and police said it was connected to a case of a homeowner accused of killing two burglary suspects at his neighbor’s house, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.

Officials said the caller threatened to kill Joe Horn, the homeowner, if the district attorney does not charge him with a crime.
