What Would Obama Do?

I wonder how Obama would handle this type of threat, given he is so keen to chat up the enemy. Come on Obama. Apply your renown oratory to the real world for a change.

Saudi Arabia’s rulers threatened to make it easier for terrorists to attack London unless corruption investigations into their arms deals were halted, according to court documents revealed yesterday.

Previously secret files describe how investigators were told they faced “another 7/7″ and the loss of “British lives on British streets” if they pressed on with their inquiries and the Saudis carried out their threat to cut off intelligence.

Prince Bandar, the head of the Saudi national security council, and son of the crown prince, was alleged in court to be the man behind the threats to hold back information about suicide bombers and terrorists. He faces accusations that he himself took more than £1bn in secret payments from the arms company BAE.

CAIR: Change in Tax Status?

keep the planet clean 2

I just opened an email from the United American Committee stating that:

A major victory in the fight against Jihad has apparently occurred. Somewhere in the dead of night, without any known announcement from the organization, the highly controversial Washington DC based group CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations has apparently lost the tax status which enabled it to conduct lobbying activities…..

Jawa Report is looking for confirmation to document what would, indeed, be excellent news. Israpundit compares CAIR’s former and current tax status , concluding…

….the restrictions on CAIR’s activities should now be MORE stringent, and it must report all lobbying expenditures on its Form 990…

…and points out that, indeed, CAIR is very busy lobbying.

It’s No Big Deal, Bro! It’s All for The Greater Good

Sen. Barack Obama said Monday that he doesn’t think it’s a big deal that he borrowed lines from his friend Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, although he probably should have given him credit.

Obama-cari

Gee, if only your Soros trained staff had put the words “give Patrick credit” in your mouth on your teleprompter, Obama. Don’t they know yet how much you need a clue a cue, a prompt, an new uplifting phrase…….

Asked whether he wished he would have given him credit given the criticism he’s facing, Obama responded: “I was on the stump, and he had suggested that we use these lines. I thought they were good lines. I’m sure I should have — didn’t this time.”

“I really don’t think this is too big of a deal,” he said.
via LGF

Nah, respecting another man’s words, attributing sources, who needs to do that in Obama’s new world? After all, the man certainly doesn’t respect the right of rich men to earn and spend their money in the manner that they so choose, or the rights of private Americans to decide where the hell they want to send their charity without any direction from Big Brother.

Why the hell would he respect his buddy Deval’s authorship? It’s all good bro, we’s all one now. You gotta share bro, ya know, for the hood, for the village, for the freaking tribe.

Obama and Hillary: Steeped in the Rhetoric of Oppression

clinton_obama

I never signed up for a course in the “-isms“; Marxism, Socialism and Communism – but researching the ideological underpinnings of the two progressive contenders for the presidency is teaching me more than I ever wanted to know.

I will frankly say that I will not vote for any black presidential candidate who chooses to designate himself as an African-American (as opposed to an American). In my mind that hyphen has come to symbolize race card politics, signaling an agenda of divisive grievances, not national unity.

And quite frankly, I could never bring myself to vote for a woman. Do with that what you will, but there was only one Margaret Thatcher and Hillary is her anti-thesis. But Hillary feeds at the same socialist trough as Obama, devouring the same multicultural, kumbaya swill.

With either candidate, it’s always about race, or class warfare, or gender issues, but never about celebrating America and it certainly is never about promoting – dare I say it – American exceptionalism.

The trinity of American exceptionalism could be described as (1) dynamism (support for equality of individual opportunity, entrepreneurship, and economic progress); (2) religiosity (emphasis on character development, mores, and voluntary cultural associations) that works to contain the excessive individual egoism that dynamism sometimes fosters; and (3) patriotism (love of country, self-government, and support for constitutional limits).(link)

I always find it amusing that the admonitions to respect the traditions of all cultures that are preached from the pulpits of multiculturalism have failed to make an impression on the very “cultures” that seek protection behind the PC mantle. But then, multiculturalism is a weapon aimed directly at the idea of “American exceptionalism”, as well as at whites, Euros, Anglos and other various “oppressor groups”. You may denigrate those cultures at will.

Obama and Hillary are steeped in the rhetoric of white supremacy, sexism and oppression, as are the academic elites who have poisoned American education.

Commies

Kors states that at an academic conference sponsored by the University of Nebraska, the attendees articulated the view that “White students desperately need formal ‘training’ in racial and cultural awareness. The moral goal of such training should override white notions of privacy and individualism.” One of the leading “diversity experts” providing scores of “training programs” in universities, corporations, and government bureaucracies is Hugh Vasquez of the Todos Institute of Oakland, California. Vasquez’s study guide for a Ford Foundation-funded diversity film, Skin Deep, explains the meaning of “white privilege” and “internalized oppression” for the trainees.

from…Why There is a Culture War

Might I suggest that the generations of blacks who have been indoctrinated to believe that they are oppressed get some training as well. If they want to claim that racism is institutionalized by whites, than I would have to say that entitlement and victim hood is institutionalized among all so-called minorities who jump on the grievance train.

From Shelby Steele’s ‘A Dream Deferred”

I believe this acceptance of victimization is a totalism caused by the downfall of post-sixties liberalism. This is where liberalism lost it’s balance and ultimately its integrity. Many observers who lived through the sixties realize that it was the old American problem of race that did liberalism in. To accept victimization not as one of many variables but as a totalism was to see it as structural – so built into the patterns of society that that it could be manifested apart from human will. And if the evil was structural. only structural remedies would work against it. You couldn’t fight racial victimization on a case-by-case basis; you had to put into place structures that would prefer the victim in compensation for the victimization we could presume he or she endured. Thus liberalism becomes preemptive rather than defensive. It no longer protected individuals and fought for equal opportunity but it pursued group rights and equal results. It remedied the victimization before it was manifest. This transformation came from the embrace of victimization as a totalistic explanation of black difficulty. But it changed the basic terms of American liberalism from freedom, rights, and responsibilities to planning, engineering and entitlements.

I absolutely do not buy that minorities in this country suffer under systematic oppression. Instances of prejudice and incivility, yeah, I am sure that there are incidents galore. It’s called human nature and the only fools who think that they will be able to extirpate prejudice completely from the human psyche are , well – fools like Obama and Hillary – magical thinking elitists who presume to know just the right alchemy necessary to recreate the human soul.

hillary_needs

One such social engineer is a far left radical Saul Alinsky, often mentioned in both Obama’s and Hillary’s accounts of influential political mentors.

Diane Alden on Saul Alinsky…

Alinsky asserted that he was more concerned with the acquisition of power than anything else: “My aim here is to suggest how to organize for power: how to get it and how to use it.” This is not to be done with assistance to the poor, nor even by organizing the poor to demand assistance: “[E]ven if all the low-income parts of our population were organized … it would not be powerful enough to get significant, basic, needed changes.”

Alinsky advises his followers that the poor have no power and that the real target is the middle class: “Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America’s white middle class. That is where the power is. … Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority.”

But that didn’t stop Alinsky and his followers from using the middle class for their own purposes. They counted on the guilt and shame of the white middle class to get what they wanted. In order to take over institutions and get power, the middle class had to be convinced that they were somehow lucky winners in “life’s lottery.”

Alinsky’s radicals found a perfect vehicle for their destruction of the American system and more particularly for taking and maintaining power. That instrument was the Democratic Party.

Hucksters have Been Selling Obama’s Snake Oil For a Long, Long Time

worker

Work ethic. Have you ever heard of that Obama? A good work ethic was a distinct point of pride among the independent men and women who refused charity during the depression. It’s what my father had. Son of an illiterate Romanian immigrant, he rose from a factory worker to a business owner, not on the public dime, but by virtue of hard work, diligence and perseverance.

I’m glad a man like you wasn’t running this country when my father was growing up. His own father deserted the family shortly after they arrived in America, but there were no handouts or sympathy for single mothers, no subsidized housing, no food stamps. There was opportunity. So an illiterate, non-English speaking immigrant gypsy fed her son and put a roof over his head, the way most honest people do- by the sweat of her brow, by her own hand, without any “programs” or insults from poverty-pimps.

That is the image my father absorbed. Not one of an indolent woman sucking on the government teat. Had he heard the defeatist rhetoric your ilk espouses he might never have developed the strength and discipline to overcome poverty. No one told him to prefer his native tongue over English. No one told him that anglo America would spit out a dirty little Romanian gypsy upstart. No one indoctrinated him in school to view himself as an entitled victim, deserving of succor and special treatment.

Fortunately, in 1927, there wasn’t anyone telling him he couldn’t do it because life was just too hard. Equipped with a sixth grade education, he went on to build a business that eventually sustained his family in luxurious comfort. And you want to know what he told “his people” from the old country who were too lazy to work and thought he ought to share his wealth? He said good-bye, in English, and showed them the door.

obama_borat_parodyDo you really think you are offering something new Obama? Hucksters have been selling “something for nothing” for ages. Commercial after commercial is written with exactly the same strategy that you employ in your florid speeches; empty images and false promises designed to appeal to men’s greed, laziness and insecurities. ‘Just buy this, and guaranteed, your life “will be changed”.’ Who the hell doesn’t promise to change my life in every dreary infomercial running at 3:00 AM?.

Your messianic brand of snake oil is as old as the hills and as stale as the balding pot belly hippies that find you appealing. Governments run by men like you, Obama, cripple ambition and stunt the spirit. Just take a hard, long look at Europe, minus your globalist, rose-colored glasses. The comments of British expats on this article that claims the flight of British citizens alone number at 684 per day, provides a chilling view of what awaits America if you, or Hillary, take over the helm.

I do not want my grandchildren raised in a world run by men like you Obama. Utopia is not obtainable. The millions upon millions slaughtered in the name of your perverse “ideals” are recorded in the histories of those tragic nations who once danced to your pied-piper socialist tunes. Apparently your expensive and elaborate education failed to provide you with those accounts.

Obama 3

Kyle-Anne Shiver in American Thinker writes

Can man successfully redeem himself through collective transformation and liberation?

Pope Benedict says “No” rather emphatically, in Truth and Tolerance. Writing of the fall of the Soviet Union:

“…where the Marxist ideology of liberation had been consistently applied, a total lack of freedom had developed, whose horrors were now laid bare before the eyes of the entire world. Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic.”

Vacuous promises of peace, hope and change are sufficient for the desperate, and the spiritually empty, but they are not messages designed to please the ear of honest, capable, hard working individuals. But that’s not your target audience, is it Obama?

“Consider these statements from Obama’s campaign website, contained in his video invitation for all to

“join us in changing the Country.”

“We believe in what this Country can be.” “In the face of war, we believe there can be peace.”

“In the face of despair, we believe there can be hope.”

“…America can be one people reaching for what’s possible.”

Obama indeed seems to be offering a people’s government solution to all human problems. He is, after all, running for President of the United States, not for a pulpit. Substituting the state for God as provider has been the inherent common thread in all Marxist regimes.

And in this seemingly redemptive offering, Obama may be promising what only God can actually deliver, in the form of yet another, more eloquent, version of the same old utopian dream that started with Rousseau and Marx.

Shriver ends her article with a quote from a man she refers to as Obama’s political mentor. I find it particularly unsettling, yet, at the same time, very, very fitting.

Saul Alinsky began his book Rules for Radicals:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Assholes!

This is so precise that I’m posting the whole thing.

An open letter to Speaker Pelosi
Greg Richards
Madame Speaker:
I just heard on the news that you are leading the Democrats out of the House for a break without passing the new intelligence bill. What are you thinking?

I am guessing that you didn’t know anybody in the World Trade Center on 9/11. The people trapped in the building faced the choice of either jumping to their deaths or burning alive. I don’t know to this day which fate was chosen by those I knew in the building.

I would have thought that you would have a care that if the passengers on Flight 93 had not been heroes, the Capitol would very likely have been a smoking ruin on that day. I cannot understand what is impelling you to take such a lax attitude to your duties.

I suppose this comes under the rubric “the public interest be damned.” Intelligence is essential to the safety of the country, and you refuse to provide us with that weapon. I cannot imagine what is going through your mind.

It is clear that you are not up to the duties of your high office. I can only hope that we can replace you in the next election.

Appalled,

Greg Richards

P.S. And the House had the time to hold hearings on steroids in baseball? What Article, exactly, in the Constitution enumerates that power? Even if there was one, what does it say about your leadership that you thought that subject worth the time of the House but the intelligence bill wasn’t?

From American Thinker.

About my title, yes I know ad hominem slurs are signs of weak arguments etc. but can you think of a better way to say what Pelosi and Reid’s actions say about them?

More here from The Tank.

Does Congress Realize We’re at War? [Joel Arends]

At midnight tonight America will become much more susceptible to a terrorist act. It will happen because the Democrat-controlled Congress failed to reauthorize the Protect America Act. This legislation gives our military, intelligence, and law-enforcement communities the tools they need to conduct surveillance on terrorists. Yet, instead of fighting to make us safer Congress, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, blocked a vote on this bill all week and then went home on a twelve-day recess.

Yep, read it all.

Maybe juveniles is a better description than assholes.

European Awakening.

We had the Anbar Awakening after a long, long time of brutal attacks by Al Quaida, now after a long time of head in sand posture it seems that Europe has the glimmerings of an awakening. A few straws in the wind, first Sarkozy was elected in France of all places, he was already awakened, the Danish newspapers are re-publishing the cartoons as an in your face gesture to the Muslim fanatics and now from Britain comes this report by The Royal United Services Institute.

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), a body of the country’s leading military and diplomatic figures, says the loss of British values and national identity caused by “flabby and bogus” Government thinking has made the country vulnerable to attack from Islamic extremists.

“Misplaced” policies on multiculturalism have failed to “lay down the line” to immigrants, leading to a fragmented society opposed by “implacable” terrorist enemies, the report says.

The stark warning – which comes just days after the Archbishop of Canterbury was plunged into a row over the adoption of sharia, or Islamic law, in Britain – will embarrass the Government.

RUSI, whose patron is the Queen, is one of the most respected and long-established defence research organisations in the world.

Gordon Brown, who is due to unveil his national security policy next week, has described the think-tank as “leading the debate about homeland security and global terrorism”.

Read it all as they say, it’s very encouraging that those not of the stupid lefty persuasion are ready to speak up and tell the people the truth. [Most people who live with the results of governmental, media and academic idiocy do already know.]

John McCain and Divided Loyalties

I guess I’m a simple soul. Divided loyalties would likely bother me. If I had a salesman for my product A and I found out that he admired my competitor’s product B so much so that he could not bring himself to design an ad campaign that would knock my competition off the radar, well, I’d send that employee packing.

But I doubt Juan McCain will send his “ad guru”, Mark McKinnon, packing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he shared his sentiments since it is amply evident that McCain deviates from the accepted definition of loyalty.

It was in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman published June 8, McKinnon said, “If the Democratic nominee is Barack Obama, I will not work in the general election.”

Claiming he would still support and vote for McCain, McKinnon continued, “I just don’t want to work against an Obama candidacy.”

On Feb. 1, Richard Wolffe wrote in Newsweek that McKinnon filed an internal memo with the McCain campaign pledging not to tape ads against Obama if Obama were to become the Democratic Party nominee.

Earlier, Dec. 5, 2006, in an appearance with Tucker Carlson on MSNBC before joining the McCain campaign, McKinnon said, “I think Barack Obama is one of the most exciting politicians to come along in a long time.”

Michael Centanni, chief executive officer ofBMW, a direct fund raising agency, expresses principles that I can relate to. That agency declined working on the McCain campaign.

“We actually had an internal debate about this,” Centanni said, “and we decided our reputation as conservatives was much more important to us than the significant amount of money we could make working for McCain.”

”It’s one thing if you’re a guy who owns a printing company, but it’s another thing to come up with the ideas,” he asked. “How can you be creative when your heart is actually with another candidate?”
Source: McCain ad guru wants Obama win

And how can you vote for a candidate whose heart lingers in the enemy camp. And if there were not McKinnon to ponder over, reports have emerged putting McCain in bed with Soros.

In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros’ Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations.

McCain used the institute to promote his political agenda and provide compensation to key campaign operatives between elections.
[...]
the Reform Institute still employs the McCain campaign’s Hispanic outreach director, Juan Hernandez, as a senior fellow of its Comprehensive Immigration Reform Initiative.
Source: John McCain Funded by George Soros

And it is a crowded bed, with at least an additional four current McCain’s campaign staffers having all been in the employ of the Reform Institute. But hey, they are all on the same page, it turns out, with the Institute supporting McCain legislation that conservatives have adamantly oppose, “including… campaign finance reform, global warming and “comprehensive immigration reform…”

How much of Soros money was behind McCain’s sudden surge to the forefront? McCain helped author the bill that opened the floodgates of venomous journalism and media campaigns that Republicans have been lambasted with in the last three elections.

Sen. John McCain (R.-Ariz.) has made it possible for George Soros and other billionaire transnationalists to effect and determine the outcome of our elections and thus U.S. destiny, indeed world destiny. And that is exactly what the wealthy internationalists have always craved.
Source: McCain-Soros Toppled GOP Candidates

.

The liberal cancer that has broken America’s back and poisoned it’s soul has never beeen more evident to me than when contemplating the charlatans and clowns we have elevated as “leaders”.

Worth Quoting

Sultanknish has executed another powerful post, excerpted below. Be sure to read it in it’s entirety.

From…

Two Men in a Room: Superior Force and the Failure of Will

Let’s go back to the two men in the room. One has a knife and one has a machine gun. One is determined to kill the other. Which one will walk out of that room alive? The answer is, the one who is determined to kill the other. A weapon is no good unless it is used. Using a weapon as a bluff only works once at most and it stops working if your opponent is willing to take the risk or knows you won’t use it.
The nature of the world is two men in a room, one has a gun and one has a knife. The man with the gun insists on trying to reason with the man with the knife, to enlighten him and democratize him. The man with the knife meanwhile grins and creeps closer and takes a few swipes at him. In return the man with the gun threatens him, waves the gun around and occasionally takes a shot at him to warn him away, without really trying to hit him. Is it any real mystery who will emerge alive from this conflict?
More important than the ability to fight is the willingness to fight. A national government that is not willing to fight even to protect its own citizens has committed treason and ceased to have any continuing legal justification for its existence. There are only three things a national government is truly needed for and the first of them is national defense. Yet national governments across the world, from America to Europe to Israel, have substituted national accommodation for national defense. Amnesty, integration, moderation and tolerance have become the new watchwords.

Raping America

obama-hillary

Between socialists Obama and Hillary breathing down our necks, and Bush and Condi continuing to empower our enemies while flushing American treasure down the sewer to our south – our grand children’s future is looking brighter and brighter……

At the prodding of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Washington is working to “create educational and economic opportunities” for Palestinians…Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice pushed for the U.S.-Palestinian Partnership…following the U.S.-sponsored Israeli-Palestinian peace conference at Annapolis, Maryland.

[...]

“It brings together the private sector, civic leaders, the United States government and the Palestinian Authority to create educational and economic opportunities for Palestinian youth, furthering progress toward peace between Israelis and Palestinians…”

(source)

suicide pali kids

Gee, seems to me that this might conflict with the typical Palestinian “youth’s” favored pursuits. It’s rather difficult to provide “economic opportunities” for people whose highest ambition is murdering Jews.

The mother of Muhammad Faisal Saksak, the 21-year-old suicide bomber who carried out Monday’s attack in Eilat, said she was aware of her son’s plan to blow himself up and that she had wished him “good luck.”

Dozens of Palestinians, chanting slogans against Israel and the US, converged on the family’s home to “congratulate” them on the success of the attack.

(source)

And Lord knows we need to be equitable when handing out the knives which will eventually cut America’s throat. While Condi is busy abetting the enemy in the Middle-east, Bush is selling us out south of the border.

Fence? What fence, you freaking bigot!

The plan is called “The Merida Initiative.” Seems that the White House has had this plan in the works for nearly a year with little congressional input on either side of the border.

We can’t finish our own border fence, properly supply our immigration agents and border patrol with all the equipment and resources they need, or get our house in order. Yet, the Bush administration wants to fork over $1.4 billion to Mexico and Central America–with much of it going into the hands of corrupt law enforcement officials and government bureaucrats who have worked tirelessly to undermine our immigration laws. The funding is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget.

(source)

Oddly enoughBushPeso, Mexico seems to be doing a bit better these days, the peso is up and newly elected President Calderon is feeling optimistic enough to throw 25 billion into infrastructure.

Gee, infrastructure…weren’t Americans a tad concerned about infrastructure -bridges, dams – that sort of thing? But that’s right, Americans don’t count for much in Bush’s world. Imagine how little we will count for post election.

Oh by the way, Calderon will be visiting “Mexican communities in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and New York in an effort to chart a more independent course for Mexico’s economy.”

Really? I take it that they are not US citizens? Perhaps, one of you world savvy readers can explain to this rube why it is necessary to seek counsel from “mexican” enclaves in America? Perhaps he wants discuss with them how to direct this coming windfall back to Mexico.

Oh well, it’s only money, and hell, by the time our grand kids are old enough to work, there won’t be anything but government jobs left. Maybe by then the Ministers of Mental Health will be issuing soma, and, along with our borders, all memories of a free and prosperous America will have been erased.

Field Guide to Left-Wing Wackos

Protest Warrior has been doing the dirty business of sticking it to the left for many years now, bravely entering the fray at protests and marches across the nation. Identifying the variety of species that crawl through the progressive and socialist jungles requires stamina, a stout heart, and, I imagine, ample supplies of disinfectant.

pw_anarchist_illustration

Fortunately, the folks at Protest Warrior did the job too few Americans are willing to do. They faced the enemy within and took notes. Field Guide to Left Wing Wackos is the result.

Few things spook normal law-abiding, job-holding Americans more than a motley bunch of left-wing protesters. It’s not just their politics that put us off — it’s their slovenly (often bizarre) dress, their bad grooming habits (or total lack of such), and most of all their obscenity-spouting anger, grim humorlessness, and smug self-importance. Just who are these foul-mouthed, foul-smelling characters clogging our streets and college campuses, protesting everything from globalization to genetically modified food to tax cuts? Now, ProtestWarrior’s A Field Guide To Left-Wing Wackos, identifies and describes 18 common “species” of left-wing protesters, supplying witty definitions, vivid illustrations, identifying characteristics and behavior, “cries” (slogans), habitat, evolutionary origins, as well as thrilling (and hilarious) anecdotes of actual sightings.

Juan McCain’s Indiscreet Liaisons

mccain by linda eddy

One expects promiscuity from the left. Progressives are usually rather proud of their many indiscriminate liaisons and Juan McCain has proven to be as promiscuous as his progressive brethren. Ooops! I forgot. He’s a Republican RINO, willing to get in bed with just about anyone.

As Sen. John McCain assumes the GOP front-runner mantle, his long-standing, but little-noticed association with left-wing donors such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry is receiving new attention among his Republican critics.

Random Election Thoughts…

Not one step of my political journey has a damn thing to do with the Republican Party. I feel neither loyalty nor obligation  to any party. But I am beginning to think that the advice Michelle Malkin outlines in her post on the coming election is a sane approach.

Some on the Right advise their readers and listeners to vote Democrat or sit home. My advice is exactly the opposite: Get off the couch and walk the walk for conservative candidates and officeholders who need all the help they can get defending free markets, free minds, and secure borders—no matter who takes the White House in November.

9-11 removed my liberal blinders, galvanizing the fruition of “traditional” values long dormant, planted long ago by parents who never took a dime from anyone, but achieved the American dream that began when they were babes in their legal immigrant parents’ arms.

I have had to re-examine, among other things, my knee jerk antipathy to Christianity, my inclination to blame America first, as well as my appalling ignorance about how rare and unique the American experience is. I find it ironic that so many like me are now accused of being brainwashed – by talk radio no less – when it is only in the last few years that I have become aware that I was navigating on a type of lackadaisical blind trust for much of my life.

And whom did I trust? The same media, cultural mavens, press and academia that have succeeded in indoctrinating, on a far more pervasive scale, the post-boomer generations.

Not only do we need to rally behind conservative incumbents and candidates, I really would love to see conservatives invest considerable effort and influence into preparing offensive and defensive strategies to prevent the “Progressives” from cutting us off at the knees, something they will ardently seek to do, no matter who wins the White House. Conservatives will simply need to do the jobs that elected Republicans won’t do.

The Fairness Doctrine, for instance, (along with various “hate speech/crime” legislation) is one threat that I hope we prove capable of successfully defending against. I’d rather lend my hand to a battle engaged in protecting free speech than campaigning for McCain or shilling for “the party”. Perhaps I’m guilty of some type of siege mentality, but the fight against political Islam, judges, immigration, property and gun rights, etc can not be waged if we do not stand our ground on a few linchpin issues, some of which are:

Freedom of Speech/Press/Internet…be it the PC thought police ramming hate speech codes down our throat, creeping sharia, the grasping and greedy UN, or the “progressive’s” fondness for the Fairness Doctrine – we have to prepare to win these battles, no matter which socialist rules from the White House.

American sovereignty…under threat via many fronts, i.e., open borders, illegals, immigration reform, UN and International courts, treaties that will cripple the economy and muzzle us, foreign- (primarily Arab) investment (Citibank, NASDAQ)

Parental rights/Education…They will go after home schooling. Ideally, parents need to take back control of the curriculum in the public schools, challenging textbook companies and the teachers union and whoever else is responsible for the self loathing, Ameri-phobic, revisionist, social engineering voodoo that is presently taught. But even if we could reverse years of liberalism in the schools, which seems doubtful, we need to concentrate now on strengthening the rights of parents to control all aspects of their children’s education.

If Hillary Loses the Nomination..

That’s the title of a great post by The Razor. It’s going to be great fun watching the Clintons at war with those who have supported Obama.
Back in Dec. in a comment on The Razor I predicted that Hill would win the nomination but lose the election to McCain, looking good so far. I should have had a bet on it.

Another Nail…..

…….in Obama’s coffin.

You will find the hammer to drive it in in this report
by Amanda B. Carpenter at Human Events.

Sen. Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.

In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.

But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.

Read it all, read how this ‘nice’ man with the ‘nice’ smile and manner denies protection to infants born alive. Kind of goes along with him standing with his hands in front of his balls instead of on his heart, he has no soul, possibly no balls either since he’d go and talk with those other ‘nice’ people in Iran who want to wipe Israel off the map, instead of treating them as the enemies they are.
