Greetings CyberPastor,

Carson is running again in the primary for his district in Indiana after winning the special election held just a few weeks ago. He is in a fierce primary battle with numerous candidates, and if he wins there (which will be very difficult) will have to run for a third time in 2008 in the fall general election.

I am going to visit your site later today and get up to speed. I'm in Ohio. I bookmarked this group awhile back, dismayed to see it's formation. And you are likely aware of the proliferation of CAIR and their ilk in Ohio...I'm starting to feel like Dearborn's tail.

Thanks again for covering our group

Thank you for being there. I hope we can work together in the future, being were neighbors and all :)

Greetings Chad Everson,

You obviously understand the Grizzly Groundswell!

I understand how essential such a concept is. I have, at times, brainstormed how such a network of bloggers could possibly create a springboard for a comprehensive rapid response system, able to deploy attorneys, send experts and speakers, organize outreaches to counter CAIR outreaches, to keep apprised of rising political candidates , muslim or socialists and support their conservative opponents.

There I am again, ready to brainstorm the whole thing all over again, but, here is the difference. I and so many like me have great ideas but are unable to imagine how one organizes such an effort. I was involved in the early stages of one such group and the communication and minutiae of developing information processing and basic organization, much less develop campaigns and offenses, well, it's all very daunting. It requires enormous commitment and a range of expertise and the willingness to conceptualize and so, I am more than happy to post on your Grizzly Groundswell - I have a glimmering of what it entails and I commend you and your bears heartily for taking this on.

Conservatism in America is like a great North Dakotan Town or Quilt. It is the texture, the color and the character’s that make it so beautiful.

Well said, so true, and that simple.

they effectively brought socialism to it’s knees and exposed it for the corruption and organized crime that is was.... They dismantled their political machine and went back to their farms, their businesses and left the barn door wide open!

I am going to have to read up on that. I need, we need, to hear of such victories, of the ways in which they were achieved. But as you say :"They effectively erased the failure and Achilles heal of socialism by rewriting history."There are so many areas of our history as a nation of which I had been unaware and my generation (the lamentable boomers) are, or were not, nearly as indoctrinated as the present crop of young minds. I shudder to know what is in textbooks now...

I only hope such success is possible today. It seemed a more even playing field back then....

You see, the socialist work incrementally and across generations. I must and will found an association that will ensure that our future generations will be armed, alarmed and entrusted to hold the line against socialism. There must be a place where people can come together to hold the line against the seductive and deceptive lie of socialism.

The phrase girding the loins comes to mind. I am very alarmed at the continuing erosion of parental rights, especially in view of the foray California has made into the mine field that home shooling threatens to become. But if we cannot pass on the flame, if you will, to the next generation, if they can not safeguard the original vision and dream that was America, then all is lost.

Private property, the sanctity and inviolability of the family, and free speech must be guarded zealously and defended ferociously, yet, it is being systematically destroyed as we speak. So I share your urgency in this vision, this need to seed a new generation with the untainted vision that gave birth to American liberties and enterprise.

I think it is important to have a place where people can come together to gather eggs, get your hands dirty and unite to combat socialism long after we have drawn our last breathe.

I think it is important to establish a network that remains viable should the internet become unavailable, for whatever reasons. This blog and thousand like it will not survive the type of speech restrictions that the UN and the left seek to impose. A number of "compounds" scattered throughout the country. A simple system of short wave radio...but see... I'm brainstorming worse case scenario...but, I think you speak to something that may soon become a very real need.

Gwen Bristol of Dakota Lifestyle... wrote a very flattering article like yours as well!

A very well done piece, giving me a clear portrait of who you are.

I have a conservative blogger or more in 44 of the 50 states in America.

I'm curious. Have all 44 blogged the same issue - say Obama and his bitterness - using simple keyword optimization and a system of trackback and linking...for a couple days running and has such an effort been tracked to see if it can increase the visibility of the featured issue? But then, that is what Fort Hard Knox is doing ...but that has been a point of curiosity to me, the efficaciousness of blog burst and how that trickles our in real world value, but I digress.

If you have not already been invited to get Grizzly consider this your invitation!

I will want to think about how I might be useful. I always hesitate to jump in a network because, well, I do go out of my way sometimes to offend, I get more than a little acerbic and profane - and I don't want to roil the waters for those who associate with me. But, we will email and I can see what's up in Ohio and if I can plug in somewhere.

Zee, Lig, & Road Sassy Readers, don’t be a stranger!

We won't. Count on it.

As the Indiana "Governor" at Grizzly Groundswell I was especially glad to see that you mentioned in this outstanding piece on "Teddy Bear" and our group the fact that there are several muslims participating in the election process.

Carson is running again in the primary for his district in Indiana after winning the special election held just a few weeks ago. He is in a fierce primary battle with numerous candidates, and if he wins there (which will be very difficult) will have to run for a third time in 2008 in the fall general election.

I plan on keeping this info updated at my blog as I did during the special election earlier this year. The was little to no pre-election coverage of the muslim issue, but it was very "cool" to write about after he won.

Thanks again for covering our group, which also promotes all of our individual blogs.

Zee and all of Road Sassy,

You obviously understand the Grizzly Groundswell! If you have not already been invited to get Grizzly consider this your invitation!

I followed your link back from the Grizzly Groundswell and your post brought tears to my eyes. I do not know if others understand how much joy has come into my life since I got my Grizzly out there for others to rally behind. I thank you for taking the time to notice what we are doing.

I have a conservative blogger or more in 44 of the 50 states in America. Our blogs are networked so that the Grizzly Groundswell is the hub where readers can hear all the Grizzly voices. Conservatism in America is like a great North Dakotan Town or Quilt. It is the texture, the color and the character's that make it so beautiful.

In fact, I am launching a Grizzly Groundswell Radio Network this Summer using the same effective strategy I used with creating the Grizzly Groundswell. If you ever thought about enhancing your blog with a radio show, contact me!

My goal is to create a powerful online new media empire that when we whisper, Washington will hear us like Shock and Awe!

I could go on and on. I guess that is what I do. Although, I want to leave you with one last thing:

Grizzly Groundswell was inspired by my great grandfather, Hon. E. W. Everson's handwritten life journey. You see, my great grandfather is the man socialists never wanted you to know about. He single handedly stood down the A. C. Townley Tornado and Nonpartisan League political machine. He knew he could not do it alone so he "groundswelled" conservatives in the Republican, Democrat and Independent parties of North Dakota to derail and actually recall the very first Governor and two others in American History.

E. W. Everson's arch enemy A. C. Townley would call him out by name in his speech's. He was known as "The Grizzly Bear" because he was "the man who never quit". The NPL destroyed his political career and our family name. Yet, E. W. Everson with his friends in his IVA derailed socialism and the NPL just as it was going national.

So, we have a lot to owe those patriots in the Independent Voters Association. Although, in 1921 they recalled the Gov. and two other elected officials, they effectively brought socialism to it's knees and exposed it for the corruption and organized crime that is was. The IVA now with this great victory won back power of the Republican party in ND. The IVA a coalition of conservatives of all parties simply seen their work as over. They dismantled their political machine and went back to their farms, their businesses and left the barn door wide open!

The House of Representative building was burned to the ground. Hmmm, I wonder who did that? NPL? I think so. They effectively erased the failure and Achilles heal of socialism by rewriting history. If you look for my great grandfather's name, you will not find it in any N. Dak. history book.

You see, the socialist work incrementally and across generations. I must and will found an association that will ensure that our future generations will be armed, alarmed and entrusted to hold the line against socialism. There must be a place where people can come together to hold the line agains the sedductive and deceptive lie of socialism.

My dream is that I can purchase the original homestead and erect a presidential like library and event center on a working 1890-1930 farm in North Dakota. I think it is important to have a place where people can come together to gather eggs, get your hands dirty and unite to combat socialism long after we have drawn our last breathe.

So, please join me, lend your voice, and your inner Grizzly to the movement.

We have inherited a legacy of men and women, better then I. Let's join together to try to fill their footprints just long enough for the next generation to help share this entrusted burden of Freedom and Liberty.

Gwen Bristol of Dakota Lifestyle: Beyond the Weather just wrote a very flattering article like yours as well!

If I did not have such an inherited burden to move this mountain, I would get a big head! But, honestly, it is just such a blessing.

Get your Grizzly on!

Hi anonymous, Zee here, from your link, a comment that is on the mark. Muslims are nothing if not resourceful at PR and their strategies reek of the methodologies employed by leftists like Soros..They have made good use of the tactics that have allowed the left to gain control of education, culture, media...clothing the wolf with as much sheep's wool as they can glue on.. appropriating and re-rendering language....

And that last is precisely the problem. The essence of Islam is conquest of the lands, wealth, power, booty (including women) of the Infidel.

But let us proceed. Let us consider for argument, the hypothetical situation that ALL Muslims at present living in the West, accepted the call to clean up their communities of extremism. They even went further and made the changes in their teachings of the Koran and the jihad. Such an outcome would no doubt come as a relief to many on this site and elsewhere. But I counter, that all such changes were being done merely to protect the ummah while it grows at ever-increasing pace in the West. Once a near majority is achieved, that future generation of Muslims will simply revoke any changes and return to the traditions of the unchanging and unchangeable Koran i.e. the "canonical texts" as Hugh puts it. They will even praise this generation of Muslims for having done what was necessary to protect Islam.
Islamic ideologues take the long view - in several decades or more. It is only right that we as well consider options keeping in mind Islam’s long-term goals.

Quilliam Foundation also wants to go beck to the root of Islam. Note the equivalence with Christianity that is being sold here. In Europe there were wars of religion, until it was realised (when the Bible became available to all), that the message of Jesus was one of love. What the Quilliam Foundation is trying to do is to sell the idea, that Islam is like Christianity, and that the violence of Islam now, is quite out of keeping with the message of Mohammed. Of course this is pure dissimulation - it is trading on ignorance of people, who believe that all religions must be peaceful and good, and it is just the extremists who are to blame. It is trading on the gullibility of politicians, who would like to believe in the inherent peaceful nature of Islam, and thus not having to do what is difficult and painful - rejection of Islam in the West, and its slow and steady removal from our shores.

There is no other peaceful and humane way. The rest lead to civil war, massacres, ethnic cleansing, and partition... (Link)

Thanks for the link ligneus, although after having read it I notice a couple of glaring omissions. The story is very much a feelgood exercise because of it too. Having read another article at Up Pompeii, which reveals a very different light upon this news. It would appear this project is very much a government sponsored program, and anything the dead hand of the European political elites are involved in is sure of most questionable value these days; so the whole project appears to become about calming the nerves of the increasingly restless natives. Sorry to rain on you high hopes. :(

Great idea, love the name. Meantime, some good news, I think, from Britain. Well it's about time some of these Western educated Muslims started using what they're supposed to have been taught.
