Obamadebacle Gathering Steam.

As the yokels in Sussex UK used to say, ‘Haven’t had so much fun since granma caught her tits in the mangle’. I mean, of course, watching the Democrat primaries and also thinking about all the intellectual snobs who think Obama is the second coming, ‘He’s a really smart guy’ I’ve been told a number of times, and their disbelief and outrage when he loses either to Hillary or McCain. [Yes, I still think he could do himself in before Hill quits].
I’ve read much good comment on his ‘Pennsylvania’ speech, one of the best being this dissection of it by the ever reliable Victor Davis Hanson.

Again, we will see more and more of these condescending statements of the Michelle Obama strain, more and more of Revs. Wright, Meeks, Lee and others peddlers of division like them, and more and more clues to a long hostility to Israel—in what will eventually become the most disastrous chapter in recent Democratic history.

And pundits keep wondering why Hillary won’t give up?

    He is an arrogant pompous elitist from what he openly says. Obama himself has said he knows how to deceive ordinary people, he knows what to say to appear like he likes them, when in fact he has nothing but contempt for those who aren’t his followers.

    I’d like to see all three, Obama, Clinton and McCain give up! Incidentally, I read a larger segment of the PA speech than this quote that is doing the rounds. There’s quite a bit more to his speech to be concerned about. He’s trying to pull back from what he said now but hopefully nobody’s going to let him forget it.

    Aurora I’ll have to do that, read the entire thing, when I can stomach it. This election is going to be hell, no way about it. I remember being so relieved when Bush won, only to see him squander all his political capital and kiss enemy ass. Such a freaking disappointment. Perhaps McCain will prove to be the opposite. I expect the worse, but I am open to surprises.

    Kodera, hi, yes elitists they are, but added to that typical liberal arrogance, there is this perpetual victim/entitlement/grievance mentality . Those are the makings of some very toxic people.
    MK If you read up on Saul Alinsky, one of the Marxists Obama admires, he heavily emphasizes getting power from those you are trying to defeat to position yourself for ultimate victory – it’s all about coercion and manipulation. It has nothing to do with offering viable solutions for governance and education and business. Just gaining political power to rule and extract due penance.
