If Islam is permitted to continue it’s seemingly inexorable penetration into the West, there ought to be a new niche market for gynecologists. Between genital mutilation and restoring hymens, they should be able to do a bang up business. And the ReProgressive freaks in America get upset over Christians teaching abstinence.

The annulment of a young Muslim couple’s marriage because the bride was not a virgin has caused anger in France, prompting President Sarkozy’s party to call for a change in the law.

The decision by a court in Lille was condemned by the Government, media, feminists and civil rights organisations after it was reported in a legal journal on Thursday. Patrick Devedjian, leader of the ruling Union for a Popular Movement, said it was unacceptable that the law could be used for religious reasons to repudiate a bride. It must be modified “to put an end to this extremely disturbing situation”, he said.

The case, which had previously gone unreported, involved an engineer in his 30s, named as Mr X, who married Ms Y, a student nurse in her 20s, in 2006. The wedding night party was still under way at the family’s home in Roubaix when the groom came down from the bedroom complaining that his bride was not a virgin. He could not display the blood-stained sheet that is traditionally exhibited as proof of the bride’s “purity”.

Mr X went to court the following morning and was granted a annulment on the grounds that his bride had deceived him on “one of the essential elements” of the marriage. In disgrace with both families, she acknowledged that she had led her groom to believe that she was a virgin when she had already had sexual intercourse. She did not oppose the annulment.

Obama Would Be Happy With A “a messy, sloppy status quo” in Iraq

I had to laugh when I ran into this Obama blurb on Iraq. I mean, what else can I expect from a man who governs his world according to the lowest common denominator. I guess Obama is just a sloppy seconds kind of guy. He never seems to set his sights very high at all. This is a man whose vision for America will decimate our wealth instead of increase our wealth making capacity.

Obama is a man content to kill an infant dangling between it’s homicidal aborting mother’s legs rather than assign the infant the dignity of personhood. This is a man who thinks that babies are punishment, homosexuals and transgendereds are just great wholesome folks and who would rather put America’s space program on hold so he can cater to crack whores and thugs in the eternally screwed up ‘hood – on your redistributed dime. So it isn’t at all surprising that he’d have no higher vision for Iraq that accepting a “sloppy status quo.”
This quote was taken from The Institute of Policy Studies, described by David Horowitz as “America’s oldest left wing think tank [which] has long supported Communist and anti-American causes around the world.” So, no doubt, Obama felt right at home.

Barack Obama asked one good question, but undermined his position with his own refusal to call for complete withdrawal of troops. Obama asked Crocker, “if we were able to have the status quo in Iraq right now without U.S. troops, would that be a sufficient definition of success? It’s obviously not perfect. There’s still violence, there’s still some traces of Al Qaeda, Iran has influence more than we would like. But if we had the current status quo, and yet our troops had been drawn down to 30,000, would we consider that a success? Would that meet our criteria, or would that not be good enough and we’d have to devote even more resources to it?”

Crocker’s answer: “Senator, I can’t imagine the current status quo being sustainable with that kind of precipitous drawdown.”
Obama’s reply: “No, no, that wasn’t the question. I’m not suggesting that we yank all our troops out all the way. I’m trying to get to an endpoint. That’s what all of us have been trying to get to. And, see, the problem I have is if the definition of success is so high, no traces of Al Qaida and no possibility of reconstitution, a highly-effective Iraqi government, a Democratic multiethnic, multi- sectarian functioning democracy, no Iranian influence, at least not of the kind that we don’t like, then that portends the possibility of us staying for 20 or 30 years. If, on the other hand, our criteria is a messy, sloppy status quo but there’s not, you know, huge outbreaks of violence, there’s still corruption, but the country is struggling along, but it’s not a threat to its neighbors and it’s not an Al Qaida base, that seems to me an achievable goal within a measurable timeframe, and that, I think, is what everybody here on this committee has been trying to drive at, and we haven’t been able to get as clear of an answer as we would like.”(Source) [ed: emphasis mine]

Barack Obama and the “New Party”, Acorn, and Other Various Leftist Vermin

I, like thousands of bloggers, it would seem, have been tracking down all of Obama’s little Marxist/Commie/Socialist playmates. I was scouting out his relationship with self-declared Socialist Bernie Sanders – more on that later – and in doing so, ran into this piece describing Obama’s brief relationship with something called the “New Party”. Americans drink, eat, and breathe freedom from birth. Obama aims to change that, let there be no doubt. The following will give you an idea of the kind of politics Obama plays.

The New Party

• Was active from 1992-1998
• Endorsed Barack Obama for Illinois state senate seat in 1996

Co-founded in 1992 by Daniel Cantor (a former staffer for Jesse Jackson‘s 1988 presidential campaign) and Joel Rogers (a sociology and law professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison), the New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials — most often Democrats. The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party.

Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN. The party’s Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence, a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, Trotskyists, and Communist Party USA members.

The New Party’s modus operandi included the political strategy of “electoral fusion,” where it would nominate, for various political offices, candidates from other parties (usually Democrats), thereby enabling each of those candidates to occupy more than one ballot line in the voting booth. By so doing, the New Party often was able to influence candidates’ platforms. (Fusion of this type is permitted in seven states — Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, and Vermont — but is common only in New York.)

Though Illinois was not one of the states that permitted electoral fusion, in 1995 Barack Obama nonetheless sought the New Party’s endorsement for his 1996 state senate run. He was successful in obtaining that endorsement, and he used a number of New Party volunteers as campaign workers.

In 1996, three of the four candidates endorsed by the New Party won their electoral primaries. The three victors included Barack Obama (in the 13th State Senate District), Danny Davis (in the 7th Congressional District), and Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in the 7th Subcircuit Court. All four candidates attended an April 11, 1996 New Party membership meeting to express their gratitude for the party’s support.

The New Party’s various chapters similarly helped to elect dozens of other political candidates in a host of American cities.

One of the more notable New Party members was Carl Davidson, a Chicago-based Marxist who became a political supporter of Barack Obama in the mid-1990s.

In 1997 the New Party’s influence declined precipitously after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that electoral fusion was not protected by the First Amendment’s freedom of association clause. By 1998 the party was essentially defunct. Daniel Canto and other key party members went on to establish a new organization with similar ideals, the Working Families Party of New York.

When I tell musical friends that on its release in March, Pierre-Laurent Aimard’s solo-piano version of J.S. Bach’s The Art of Fugue shot to the top of the Billboard and iTunes classical charts, they get this glazed look. It’s as if you told a physicist that Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity was topping the best-seller list. It’s not supposed to happen.

This is because the 14 fugues and four canons that make up The Art of Fugue constitute one of the most esoteric musical works ever written. Each fugue bears the severe title Contrapunctus followed by a number, and there is no indication of what instruments are supposed to play them. Every piece is in D minor; all are based on the same melodic theme. It’s as if Bach intended the AOF as a theoretical treatise, to be read and studied rather than performed, to demonstrate some of the more arcane things you can do with the idea of a fugue.

Ameri-phobe Laura Dern Relishes Her Ignorance

It’s not often that a denizen of Hollywood is so crass as to admit that they enjoyed using their film work as a bludgeon with which to beat up a living person, but Reuters is reporting that the folks that made the upcoming HBO film “Recount” — and actress Laura Dern in particular — really relished making at least one person look like an idiot. Apparently Dern really enjoyed skewering Katherine Harris, the former Florida Secretary of State responsible for certifying the 2000 general election results.

Just as unsurprisingly, this film was written and acted without those involved in the movie actually talking to Katherine Harris herself.This movie is shaping up to be just another example of BDS and hatred for conservatives and Republicans. Will the left and Hollywood ever just get over it?

It would behoove the aging and irrelevant Miss Dern (Billy Bob Thornton couldn’t run away fast enough) to not to be so prideful about how little integrity she invests into her “work”. Research might have given her some actual insight, not only into her “character”, but into a history unrevised by script writers bending reality to conform with their hatred of this country.

Sparks from the Anvil offers some of the facts that the myopic and self-indulgent Miss Dern chose to ignore.

The movie is passing itself off as a docudrama that is supposedly even-handed in its account.

One of the movie’s consultants is ABC’s Jack Tapper who admits to Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz:

the film is “a fictional version of what happened” and “tilts to the left because it’s generally told from the point of view of the Democrats.”

Entertainment Weekly’s Gillian Flynn (by way of NewsBusters):

Recount may not be downright blue, but it’s not as purply as it wants to appear. Despite its ”equal time” approach, Recount is an underdog story, and thus a Democrat story.

A good number of Americans are not aware of the political propaganda and partisan dishonesty that goes into a “docudrama” like this. It has the effect of indoctrinating more and more Americans to the liberal mindset and beliefs, that 2000 was a stolen election and Bush heir to an illegitimate presidency that was handed over to him by the Supreme Court. But as Richard Baehr writes, “the U.S. Supreme Court action probably prevented the theft of the election in Florida from occurring.”

But of course, releasing this movie in the middle of a presidential election year is about the future, isn’t it? Thanks. It’s good to be reminded that if it isn’t close, Democrats can’t cheat.

In the end, as Republican lawyer, Ben Ginsberg, puts it: “Republicans won the recount. Democrats won the movie.”

Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin’s egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful.? For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.

“Then there are the wolves,” the old war veteran said, “and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy.” Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

“Then there are sheepdogs,” he went on, “and I’m a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf.”

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero’s path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

I’m Ba-aack!

I’m back on line, have been for a few days, over three weeks without the internet! Well maybe and hour or less each day to check e-mails and a few blogs, now I have to try to get back up to speed. I said in my update post that March was such a dull month that I didn’t have any ‘tree’ pics, looking through the file I found a couple interesting enough to post, it does at least show the progress from Feb and I have one for April when spring was at last winning the battle.

This one was taken on Mar 10.

And this one a week later.

And so to April.

I hope this isn’t boring, it’s a bit of a sorry post after so long away and with all that’s happening in the world. For instance, slowly it’s getting through that Obama isn’t as smart as he and all the other elites think he is as an ordinary guy like me without intellectual pretension and living in the real world could see from the start. I hope John McCain has the measure of his slippery lawyer’s tongue come the debates. Expect to see Obama slink away like a dog with its tail between his legs, except, like John ‘Do you know who I am?’ Kerry, he has such a huge over-estimation of his own worth that he won’t even be able to discern that he’s been steam rollered flat.

I should just mention Zee’s been doing a wonderful job, I feel honoured to be associated with such a real American. Great stuff.

Goodbye Jessica Lange

I trot this piece out every time I get pissed at Hollywood. I kind of hope the arrogant bitch it’s addressed to is haughty enough to Google her name. She’ll spit at this old girl’s lamentations, but, I got to spit first.

What prompted this particular resurrection was news of Jessica Lange’s latest round of bleating, bewailing the horrible America she has made her fortune in.

As I read this over again, I see that when I wrote it, I was still naive enough to believe that Americans would rally around the troops and Hollywood would be shamed into elevating their sights slightly higher than the groins that they usually focus on. I was damnably foolish to think so. Hollywood is a whore better pimped to the global market where Ameri-phobes relish images of America’s demise.

At the time, I felt saddened by Lange’s comportment. Now I simply think the aging bitch just needs to shut up. I’ve gotten over Hollywood’s betrayal, though I haven’t seen a new movie since 2001 and will likely not see one again before I die. I am an unforgiving woman. Plus I am damn sick of groins.

Goodbye Miss Lange

You live in a reality very different from mine. You speak from a place I have never journeyed to, nor hope to. It is a place, it seems, where, for periods of time, you have the experience of constructing a world absolutely obedient to your dictates. It is peopled with the characters you want, to move the story you have scripted, to a conclusion you desire. You are a type of god, for a while, when making a movie. You commute to another dimension when you leave for work in the morning. And like a god, when you decide that the story is over, it’s over. Scratch that creation, dismiss the cast, end that world. Think it, desire it, and it will be. The magic of movies.

At one time in our mutual lives we were similar. Young women growing up in comfort during a tumultuous time in a huge country named America. We were raised on the same newscasts, personalities, advertisements, and booby sock culture. And all of us have had some kind of dreams about Hollywood.

Hollywood, in the American mind, was as indelible as apple pie, blue-sky canopied 4th of July picnics, hot, squirmy Sunday school mornings, lawn mowers buzzing through our windows, the latest song coming from our dashboard radios as we drove to the same silver screens twinkling across the land of America. And there, under star bedazzled skies, convertible tops down, nestled in the arm of our nervous dates, we lifted our face to the silver screen and allowed you to take us into your magic.

We trusted Hollywood with the transport of our hearts and desires, we permitted you the use of our sacred thoughts and our most eviscerating pains, we trusted you to pretend to be us, up there on that screen. We trusted you to safeguard the holy drama of the human condition, and to speak the stories of our lives well, with eloquence and passion, dignity and grace.

We trusted you to know us, because you were messengers from our finer selves, to the lands that our dreams would never, ever quite take us . So, you were our emissaries and you, for a very long time, honored yourselves, and us, by seeking the highest and best there is to being human and saying. “Hey guys…..you can be all that you dream. The human condition is sublime and we are so much a graced and wonderful people. We will share with you how to dream your highest dreams.” The American dreams.

And we believed, and we never, ever thought to guard against you. You see, I think we started to think you were gods too, and if you were – well, then – you wouldn’t lead us wrong. Because you, Miss Lange, were in that convertible, at the drive-in the same as I was. And, unlike most of us, you answered the Hollywood magic with a magnificent infusion of your own. You traveled West, to the land that called to us all, and you took our stories, your story, with you. I have always held you to be among the best. I have loved your work. I just had no idea that you had gone so far away from the drive-in.

You have broken my heart. You have broken all of our hearts. That is what you don’t understand. When Hollywood started experimenting with those darker strains of our nature, we were all fascinated. It was so taboo, so seemingly sophisticated to keep nudging these darker things into the light of day. After all, we are a superior breed, us Americans, we are a sophisticated people, and surely, we can shed light on all this darkness, but…. first let us examine, in minute and grisly detail, all that is scum in the human condition. And let us be so enlightened as to elevate what is base and undeniably ugly, into what is sublime and desirable. Yes, we are a new age. We are Aquarius, navigators of the awakening.

And you lied. For awhile, so, so many of us followed. Loved it. Cherished it. There is no denying self-gratification is a blast, especially if it is instant -as you convinced us for so long that it was our right to expect. Nothing any more had consequences and if it did, we would find reasons to justify it. Hey, we, too, can do the Hollywood Magical Moment.

We can script our own realities and the opposition be damned. We are gods and we will tell the world how they ought to be arranging the human soul and the consciousness of mankind. Now sign on or we will erase you. We will sneer at you. We will call you knee jerk reactionaries, country bumpkins, the uneducated the unsophisticated. And we will demonstrate our contempt with flagrant abandon and we will mesmerize you with utter trash.

And you have. Everyone is hooked on Survivor. How ironic. Because we believed you, and we followed your many Pied Pipers, survival might just very well be the main theme for all of us Americans for the next 100 years. And none of it will play well on the silver screen. Maybe that is why you hate this war so much. It is the final red stamp on your production. It is the loudest scream for CUT that you will ever hear. It is the end of the road.

Do you imagine that if you do not speak for 70% of us, that your stories do? Do you, like Osama bin Laden, assume your flabby public, the enshrined couch potato millions, have not the will to fight back? Guess what. You are wrong. Remember, all of those years when you told the real story about us Americans, when you said we were the finest and the bravest and the best? Well, Hollywood, you can’t take it back now. Because it was true then and it is true now.

It is you who have walked far away from it. The rest of us, all the other millions who shared the backseat of convertibles with you? Well, we have turned back. Look at us, millions of us. See us, we are walking away from this land of babble and lies that we let you lead us to.

On and on they drone, each empty word faithfully reported by lapdog journalists, each word an act of obeisance to Islam, words piled upon words, marching in cadence to dhimmitude. And if they are silent for but one moment, you can hear the jackals of jihad howling. Jackals have little use for words.

Islam does not think in sound bites. They think in decades. They think in centuries. This is one template of their progress.

1. The Muslim diaspora in the Western world, while formally denouncing “terrorism,” will accept and condone religious justification for acts that effectively challenge the monopoly on violence of the non-Muslim host-state.

2. The Muslim diaspora will use a highly developed infrastructure of organized religion in the host-state-a network of mosques, Islamic centers and Muslim organizations-and deploy it either as a tool of direct political pressure in support of terrorist goals (e.g., British Muslims vis-a-vis Rushdie), or else as a means of deception and manipulation in order to diminish the ability of the host-society to defend itself (e.g., CAIR vis-a-vis post-9-11 America).

3. The non-Muslim establishment-public figures, politicians, journalists, academic analysts-will seek to appease the Muslim diaspora, or else it will shy away from confronting the problem of the immigrants’ attitudes and impact by pretending that it does not exist.

And the pundits and politicians keep turning the earth over. Like worms, they prepare the ground for the seeds of the West’s destruction. One such worm is George Soros. George has a template too. It is very compatible with Islam’s.

Lets see: Rosie O’Donnell said that Christian Fundamentalists are just as bad as Muslim Fundamentalists. So as a Christian Fundamentalist, I may greatly offend Rosie by telling her (as lovingly as I can) that homosexuality runs contrary to what her creator has commanded. As such, if she does not repent, she will eventually face His judgment for her rejection of Him in this regard. On the other hand, in Gambia, the Muslims will just chop her head off in public. Offensive words – Chop your head off. Which one seems worse to you? I wonder if the world will ever see an American (Muslim) President enacting such measures?

The blogger who posted the excerpt below correctly notes that these hetero-phobes are certainly courageous enough to blatantly spit in the face of Christians, but can’t quite find the balls to take their dog and pony show on the road to the land of Islam. I guess all of the “balls” tossed about in transgendered operations don’t include a dose of testosterone.

Children [were] encouraged to display homosexual acts on camera to be posted to the group’s website…Titles of the various pamphlets included the following:

“Reading the Bible with New Eyes” which claims that Jesus had a homosexual affair with Lazarus and that Mary was a lesbian among other grotesque distortions; “Queer Spirituality” which claims that homosexuality can be a means of opening oneself to God; “History of Saints Servius and Bacchus” which claims that the two saints were involved in a homosexual relationship. Several of these pamphlets were handed out by a man dressed as a Catholic priest.

At one point during the event, a guest speaker incited the crowd to violently harass photographers from “Mass Resistance”, the pro-family action group. The photographers were surrounded, barred from taking pictures and then assaulted as a Boston police officer in uniform stood by and watched.

The event was fully sanctioned and funded by the State of Massachusetts through the Commission on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick provided an official proclamation endorsing the event.

Obama as Dionysus: A Man of No Vision

When my sons were young, one of the possible answers to the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, was ‘astronaut’. You could expect, even back in the eighties, that your children had a feast of options in their future. A child in America could snuggle down in bed at night and imagine themselves becoming anyone, doing anything; building cities on the moon, performing groundbreaking surgery in orbit, building the first commercial space fleet – all were possibilities. That is the America I know.

It is not the America Obama knows and it isn’t an America he dreams of. Obama is Dionysus, a man whose “senses and reason confine him to the grubby, material world”.

To pay for his education program, Obama would eliminate tax-deductibility of CEO pay by corporations and delay NASA’s program to return to the moon and then journey to Mars.

“We’re not going to have the engineers and the scientists to continue space exploration if we don’t have kids who are able to read, write and compute,” Obama said

Obama is a man of weighted and gray vision. For all of his purported brilliance, he somehow can not imagine an America excelling in education while simultaneously probing outer space. How could he? If SUVs, 72 degree homes and a full stomach offend the man, a Mar’s probe must wound him right down to the bottom of his Marxist soul.
