Barack Obama’s Muslim Family Featured on Al-Jazeera

Kenyans, and Africans in general, seem to have rather high expectations should Obama win the presidency. I’m sure Americans will be more than willing to foot the bill.

It is amazing that a country like Kenya, or any damn nation for that matter, dare to presume what America will do for them should Obama win. America does not belong to the world, but when you have a socialist running for office, the wolves lick their lips, scenting blood.

May Obama’s grandmother’s prayers die stillborn on her lips.

In Mombasa, the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya Organising Secretary, Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa, urged Obama to stick to his manifesto which has earned him wide support and to steer away from US President George W’ Bush’s “confrontational policies”.

“Apart from being close to Africa, we expect Obama to move away from confrontational policies and unite the US and the rest of the world if he finally wins the presidency,” Khalifa said.

ODM-Kenya nominated MP, Ms Shakila Abdalla, said Obama’s victory was an achievement for Kenyans and Africa.

Because Obama has roots in Kenya, we expect the US and Kenya to forge close ties. We are praying for his victory in the presidential poll,” Shakila said.

And North Eastern Province on Wednesday took delight in Obama’s victory. The predominantly Muslim province came to the limelight during the primaries early this year when Obama’s rival, Mrs Hillary Clinton’s campaign team circulated pictures on the Internet of Obama in Somali traditional attire taken in Wajir.

An elder, Mr Mohammed Hassan Mumin, who was photographed dressing Obama during the senator’s visit to Wajir, said they were happy that Obama was a step away from the presidency.

Mr Maalim Hussein, a teacher at a Quranic school in Garissa, said: “He was a victim of smear campaigns from the Clintons for embracing our attire, but we kept praying for his success and we are celebrating today.”

He added: “We also pray that he becomes the next US president so that he can help our impoverished province and Africa.”

Mr Christopher Njoroge, who lives in Washington, Seattle, said on the telephone: “This is great victory. It is victory for all America that wants real change.”

And from Des Moines, Iowa, Ms Nancy Mwirotsi, a key Obama supporter and mobiliser in a State that gave Obama his first victory, shed tears.

“For me, Obama’s victory is not just about himself and his family, it is about many young Kenyans here who look up to him as their role model,” she said.(Source)
[ed:emphasis mine]

It seems that Kenyan expectations are well on their way to being met - on your dime. What are you paying for gas and groceries these days? Notice anything coming out of Obama’s mouth that bodes well for the American economy? Didn’t think so.

APA-Nairobi (Kenya) The United States government on Sunday pledged to give more than 1 billion shillings($15 million) towards the implementation of the coalition accord, as well as advancing reconciliation and reconstruction efforts.

APA-Nairobi (Kenya) United States will give Kenya $75 million in support of the grand coalition government formed between President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga in February, US ambassador to Michael Ranneberger said on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference in Nairobi, he said the money will be granted to Kenya after the US Congress approves the funds.

He said the funds will be used for key reforms key including electoral, constitutional and land reforms.

Ranneberger said the funds are in addition to the $25 million already granted to resettle over 300,000 displaced persons left homeless following the post-poll violence triggered by December 27 presidential elections.

“America does not belong to the world”

Who does it belong to? …You and Jesse Helms?

“the wolves lick their lips, scenting blood.”

……The Hungriest “Imperial” Wolf of them all is America and it’s cousin Great Britain. If you are well read in History, you may understand my statement.

You need to read Walter Rodney’s book (1973): “How Europe Underdeveloped Africa,” in which Rodney convincingly argues that much of the “Third World” is a product of European Imperialism in the 19th and 20th centuries. Rodney argues forcefully about the “cultural” and “natural resource” plunder of Africa, which continues to date — from West African oil, to South African diamonds, to minerals like bauxite and copper in the interior countries like the Congo.

America followed the same path as the Europeans — Cases in point: Iraq and mid-east oil, Diamonds and minerals in the Congo, Gold in South Africa, etc. Practically every dictator in Africa was propped up and financed by America, and then discarded after being used to prostitute his country….Hey, even Saddam was a nice-person while he could open up the oil spigots to America!

Helen Caldicott, gives a very clear picture about how “predatory” some developed countries are to the third world — http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Helen_Caldicott/Third_World_Debt_IYLTP.html

Isolationism will not and cannot work. America cannot survive without “Raping” the rest of the world…..even a dumb idiot like Bush knows that.

Maybe you can survive …..but at $15/a Hamburger and $10/gallon of gas!

America belongs to the original inhabitants — the Indians. Whoever came in and killed them all was just a land thief — like in South Africa, Australia etc.

Oh good lord,Opie, I have been reading the words of some very wise men today and to then have to give time to your regurgitated black angst makes it ever so evident that you suffer from a surfeit of words written by angry, juvenile and jealous men.

“America does not belong to the world”

Who does it belong to? …You and Jesse Helms?

Yes indeed it does Opie. It does belong to me, my children, my grandchildren and it did belong to Jessie Helms (a far better man than you and yours, but your talking points from the Jeremiah Wright school of “hate Whitey” will tell you the opposite). It most decidedly does not belong to you, or Africa, or Europe.

The Hungriest “Imperial” Wolf of them all is America and it’s cousin Great Britain.

Oh kiss my ass. Were indeed America the imperialist you and your ilk claim, then you and the rest of the world would be squirming under our nuclear thumb. We have never wielded the full breadth of our might and I am beginning to wish that we had.

You need to read Walter Rodney’s book

Sorry Opie, revisionist history doesn’t interest me.

And please spare me your pretense of moral superiority. You prattle on about evil Westerners as if your own black souls were a reservoir of purity.Spare me the BS, please.I suppose you are going to blame the evil West for the innumerable corrupt and brutal leaders that Africa spawns as readily as America produces wealth? I suppose whitey instructed Africans in the art of raping babies to prevent AIDS. Or perhaps it was residual colonialism that infects your countless warring tribes that spill blood with nary a thought, all for the sake of what? It’s called racism. Wars fought over tribal identity, ethnicity, and land. Yes, you are so advanced. And you dare speak of “white supremacism. Give me a freaking break. It’s obvious from the boiling cauldron of murder, rape, and endless tribal wars in your lamentable Africa that some blacks think that they are far superior to others.

The tragic fact of business is that ordinary Africans were better off under colonialism. Colonial masters never committed anything near the murder and genocide seen under black rule in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Nigeria, Mozambique, Somalia and other countries, where millions of blacks have been slaughtered in unspeakable ways, which include: hacking to death, boiling in oil, setting on fire and dismemberment. If as many elephants, zebras and lions had been as ruthlessly slaughtered, the world’s leftists would be in a tizzy.

When Zimbabwe, then Southern Rhodesia, was under white rule, the ANC demanded the ouster of Prime Minister Ian Smith and the installation of black rule. Today, Zimbabwe’s Minister Robert Mugabe commits gross violations of black and white human rights. With the help of lawless thugs, Mugabe has undertaken a land-confiscation program from white farmers. Instead of condemning Zimbabwe human-rights abuses, the South African government has given Mugabe its unqualified support.

Which brings us to your sophomoric “America belongs to the original inhabitants — the Indians.”
Whenever I hear that I have to laugh. Far better the West should conquer the Indians than some of your African tribes who , even in this century, perpetuate a host of evils upon their own kind. Or as if all nations should “return” lands they won in war. I suppose you also believe native Indians rode rainbow ponies and had sing-alongs with rival tribes ? That they were not as brutal as any other race of people. It called human nature, Opie baby, not white nature.

And please, it’s so easy to spit and kick at the west like spoiled, raging brats. Unfortunately, we have put up with it. But there is a deafening silence where your true and original slave masters are concerned. Where is your venom for Arabs and muslims? They were old hands at slavery long before whitey partook of the trade. Funny thing is, they still are. But blacks don’t seem to own the balls to confront their muslim oppressors. Cowardice got your collective tongues? Doesn’t your race card buy you anything in the middle-east?

Trust me, without the West, Opie, you’d be muttering in a hut somewhere instead of prattling on about “racism” and “justice” and whatever other Marxist puke you freely disseminate over the net. Stick to articles on SEO sweetheart. Maybe you can sell your “black liberation” drivel to some stand up comics hard up for material.

America belongs to the original inhabitants — the Indians. Whoever came in and killed them all was just a land thief — like in South Africa, Australia etc.

Who was in Australia before the Aborigines? Some say the Chinese. Who was in Germany before today’s Germans? The Romans? Someone else. Europeans migrated all over the continent of Europe centuries ago, and then some migrated to less populous continents like Australia and America around the 17th and 18th centuries. Can you say for a fact that your ancestors never migrated from their original place?
Maybe we should conduct archaeological digs to determine the original inhabitants of every square inch of the earth’s surface and transport everyone back to their original piece of earth. That means we should kick Obama out…NOW. He doesn’t belong in the U.S. He belongs back in Kenya…that’s if we go by his father’s heritage and since everyone everywhere calls him a black man, I guess we should follow that definition as well.
Your rage and fury is a liability Mr Opiko. You may feel that punishing the descendants of people who migrated to a continent centuries ago will make you feel better. Perhaps you dream of exacting revenge…Driving them off their land (as was done in Zimbabwe). Perhaps torturing them, massacring them. Then ‘all their roosters will truly come home to roost’. Won’t you feel good then, Mr Opiko. Nothing so sweet as the suffering of people living calmly in their homes dreaming that life will be OK. Nothing like making people suffer as you have suffered, eh?
That’s what the black Zimbabweans thought no doubt before they drove out the white farmers and, in tandem with Mugabe, destroyed their own nose to spite their own face. Who’s calling for the farmers to return now?
I hope you can learn to rationalize, to forgive and to be a better person one day. But as for me, whether or not Obama gets in and destroys our country, I will always have my own self respect and sanity, which is more than I can say for people like you.

zee July 9th, 2008 at 12:44 am

God bless your courtly soul Aurora, I have not near your chivalry in the face of foes such as Obie represents… Your pungent, cogent response is what is required in such cases.

Maybe we should conduct archaeological digs to determine the original inhabitants of every square inch of the earth’s surface and transport everyone back to their original piece of earth. That means we should kick Obama out…NOW.

Brilliant. But that is where their logic leads, into mind numbing byzantine circles of impossibilities…though sending Obama back to Kenya isn’t a bad idea. But then you’d have to extract his white side and leave it in Kansas…..or something…. 8-O

Aurora July 9th, 2008 at 3:56 am

Zee said Brilliant. But that is where their logic leads, into mind numbing byzantine circles of impossibilities…though sending Obama back to Kenya isn’t a bad idea. But then you’d have to extract his white side and leave it in Kansas…..or something….

Thanks Zee. I have a firm belief that goodness and righteousness is completely logical. If you dissect the logic of evil such as that of the hateful reasoning of Mr Opiko, at its very foundation, it doesn’t hold water. This applies to the other evil ideologies like socialism and Islam. For example, the premise of Islam is that Allah, who is supposedly good, commands his followers to kill, rape and maim. It’s either that or Allah is evil. It is illogical to follow an evil god just as it’s illogical to claim that Allah is good. At its foundation, the premise of Islam is completely illogical. It will be interesting to see what Mr Opiko has to say in response if anything.

Nyuushin July 11th, 2008 at 1:40 am

excellent job on your refutation zee!

and by that, I mean the mindless drivel you smeared across the page in a hateful, extremist attempt to make….was there a point in there somewhere? I’m not entirely sure.

What I’m sure Mr. Opiko was trying to draw out with his talk of ancestral owning of land is that, regardless of what you might think, the West IS responsible for much of the trouble in the world today. Or is history (revisionist as you might call it in your homeschooled, crayon-written textbooks) too clear in the way it points out that, for the last several centuries, the major Western powers have fought tooth and claw to be in control of the resources they find, regardless of indigenous populations.

Nor has that trend slowed over the last century, it has only intensified. Though now, the battles are not fought on the ground, but in boardrooms and courtrooms, and Oval offices.

So, to both you Zee, and Aurora, thank you for proving the fact that you are unable to answer a full comment, but rather pick a small, insignificant passage and build a several paragraph tirade, based upon a premise that cannot be found in reading the original line.

and of course, in regards to the blog which started this whole cauldron of aggression, I’m quite sure if the state of Arizona made some sort of appeal that John McCain would help them out if he was to be elected president, you would not be screaming “White favoritism!”. Then again, the US hasn’t been involved with propping up dictators or refusing appeals for aid in Arizona….lately, anyway.

@ Nyuushin….

was there a point in there somewhere? I’m not entirely sure.

Of course you are not sure. That’s alright, denial does distort reality.

The point both Aurora and I make, (though I will have to say none of our textbooks were rendered in crayon - how silly of you) but, at any rate, the bottom line is, for all of the West’s sins, which no one denies there have been some, the bounty the rest of the world benefits from originates in the West, that America and Americans are and have always been extremely generous and if we were the devils that you so love to scapegoat, you’d actually be some kind of nuclear debris right now. For instance, if Mugabee were to be in possession of the power the West is capable of wielding, we’d all be in some serious trouble.

And I get really tired of hearing only of America’s sins. Please, do tell, why haven’t you confronted the Arabs and Muslims for their past and current roles in slavery and exploitation of not only blacks, but any indigenous population that they are capable of manipulating.

When the abolitionists arrived, each of the 106 slaves were asked a series of questions, starting with: When were you taken into captivity? What was your master’s name? Did you have family?

Each story was horrific. They were beaten, burned, stabbed, hit with farming tools, starved and humiliated.

Michael was one of the first slaves to tell his tale. His eyes were red, fatigue showed on his weathered face. Scars marked the places where wounds from beatings have never healed. He said his wife was stabbed to death by their master’s wives, four Arab women who were angry she was at the water well with them. Michael was beaten unconscious because he charged his master when he heard the news of his wife’s death.

Some of the men had been in captivity for more than 20 years, captured by the Janjaweed (Arab for “Devil on Horseback”) and Arab slave raiders during the so-called civil war…..(Source)

Or how about China and Russia’s present day role in Africa? Don’t hear much bitching about them.

thank you for proving the fact that you are unable to answer a full comment, but rather pick a small, insignificant passage and build a several paragraph tirade, based upon a premise that cannot be found in reading the original line.

Oh puhleeze, the gist of the gibberish you and Opie spew is that America and the West are the big bad boogie men and we refuted that along with your indigenous population poppycock.

and of course, in regards to the blog which started this whole cauldron of aggression, I’m quite sure if the state of Arizona made some sort of appeal that John McCain would help them out if he was to be elected president, you would not be screaming “White favoritism!”

Gee, last time I looked , Arizona is in America. Africa has absolutely nothing to do with America, except to suck at her blood like the parasite they have become. And favoritism based on race, gee, I’d think you’d love it if you were black. That is the name of their game these days. Forget competence, qualifications and character - for the race hucksters it all comes down to skin.

And don’t bother me with any more of your tripe unless you want to discuss the arab and muslim imperialism and ongoing slavery, the history of black and muslim slave traders and the sins of all other countries and races besides your usual Caucasian and western targets.

I’ll leave you with these links which sums up the futility of dealing with Africa quite well.

Gee, you are so convincing. They are called facts and they stick in the craw of those who do not wish to digest truth.
