Obama Talks…And That is About All He Does
Sphere: Related ContentNow the world will watch and remember what we do here – what we do with this moment. Will we extend our hand to the people in the forgotten corners of this world who yearn for lives marked by dignity and opportunity; by security and justice? Will we lift the child in Bangladesh from poverty, shelter the refugee in Chad, and banish the scourge of AIDS in our time?

I get a general impression reading the blogs that people are coming around to John McCain. There is a lot more to him than appearances would suggest, just as there is much less of Obama. A real Tortoise and Hare race isn’t it?
There are things I don’t like about McCain, but there are some areas he really shines and this is one of them.
The thing which frustrates me about this story is that we all know it’s not going to make it into the bright lights of the media stage. Obama is blown up like a giant balloon figure eclipsing anyone else, McCain, Hillary or indeed anyone.
Ligneus, let’s hope the tortoise and hare race phenomenon is what plays out here.

Obama speaks down with idealist platitudes, and I pray that the American citizenry will wake up to this. Seems like ever since Obama clinched the nomination, I have been waiting for him to “self-destruct”, but with the drive-by media wrapped around him like a huge bandage, not sure if it will happen or not. God help us if this man is elected. My wife and I are going door to door for McCain (ouch!), and I had trouble getting to that point, considering McCain’s stand on amnesty for illegals, and cap&trade. Great Site, Sassy. I hope who ever reads this is active or will become very active in their own communities to turn this country around and get good men and women in office that uphold the Constitution and our way of life. My wife and I were watching the first 2 shows of John Adams, and there was one speech John Adams made …I think in a church. After that speech, we both looked at each other and said “that sounds like today!”
BO. These aphorisms you post are amusing and of course contain some truth but is it pointing out the obvious to say that it depends somewhat on what you do for a living and whether or not you enjoy it? And that for many people there isn’t a choice in the matter?
My imagination tells me you are the kind of lefty who lives by thoughts such as you post without examining them simply because they make you feel good and at the same time provide you with a sense of superiority over the great unwashed, same as what motivates the likes of Obama and Kerry.
I see the American populace as a big HR department, and they should examine the resumes of their potential representatives, and if this were indeed a good HR department, Baracks resume should never have reached the HR managment team. Based on good hiring practices, Baracks resume is empty and he does not come close to qualifying for the Oval office…..if you disagree, submit his resume and lets see it!
. No substance, and he changes like a camelion as needed to secure the prize. Someone or some group has this man on a string. He is thee very most dangerous man to the Constitution and our way of life.
I had no clue myself that he’d adopted this girl…many years ago before Bradjolina made it the “in” thing to do.
And I hope to hell someone finds the pin that will pop it. But even his acolytes out up with his betrayals. All of this hype reminds me of the Idol series where most of the participants are floating on media hype and then fall to obscurity eventually by the weight of their own ineptitude.
Why thank you! Lig and I crank ‘em out best we can, as we all do, hoping the right people will read them and spread the word.
Amen. You are right and as I have read often, support the conservatives in their races nationwide wherever you can find them. It will be a huge relief if McCain wins, but that win will do little for our side if he remains a RINO on immigration, judges and energy. He has crossed the aisle too many times during Bush’s tenure to feel confident he won’t compromise too much, too often as president.
Yes, he is a Rino, and a big one too. I believe this is the most frustrating election year I have even witnessed. And what is most bothersome…..we are to blame, the American people, of which we are a part. Did you read The Heritage Foundation article last week, and they permitted Right Side to publish it:

Gives particulars on how the rest of the world is in a building craze, building NUKE plants, Coal Plants, ramping up into overdrive for oil, coal and natural gas explorations at a frenzied pace. In China alone, in 2006, built enough power producing coal plants to EQUAL that of the UK! Obama doesn’t want to touch coal, shale, or drill for oil, and nuke plants are so covered with red tape, it would take years to unwrap it.
“Despite signing the Kyoto Protocol, countries across Europe are rapidly building new coal power plants. Germany plans to build 27 coal-fired plants by 2020. Italy plans to increase its reliance on coal from 14% today to 33% in just five years. In all of Europe, 40 new major coal power are set to be built in the next five years. In 2006 alone, China completed enough coal power plants to match all of Britain’s capacity . India plans to boost coal production by 50% by 2012 and quadruple it by 2030. “
I believe you come very close to the truth there. I firmly believe he is a Soros (Heinz/Rockefeller,et al.) puppet. I believe the race issue was ratcheted up by the usual suspects to divert attention from Obama’s lack of credentials and to work on the infamous “white guilt”.
It is all very much a Hollywood production and results in the expected Pavlovian response from the target audience. Americans are well trained by media and culture to swoon on cue, to prefer glitter over substance, and more importantly, to sneer at traditional American values. Combined with a school system that has cranked out self-righteous lemmings who now see themselves as secular missionaries who must heal the world of capitalism and the American way…well, Jim Jones would be deeply envious.
My greatest fear is that McCain has no intention of winning, but then that pushes me too close to “conspiracy” land – a territory that is increasingly harder to avoid as the insanities continue to move across the national stage and no one screams at the top of their lungs out the king has no clothes on…. or at least not enough to collapse the Obama illusion once and for all.
Encapsules the “progressive” mind quite accurately. “barack Obama” and the “congress” commenter are either trolls or spam…haven’t figured out which yet.
