I guess you already know that there were only 5% Muslims in European Union in 2004 according to Daniel Pipes, that there were only 6% Muslims in Netherlands in 2007 according to Geert Wilders, that Oriana Fallaci assumption of Muslims breeding like rats is unbelievable, that Mark Steyn, Bruce Bawer and Robert Spencer are uneducated in demographic matters, and that Bat Ye’or re-use antisemite conspiracy theory.

   This prediction is hardly new. In 1968, the British politician Enoch Powell gave his famed “rivers of blood” speech in which he warned that in allowing excessive immigration, the United Kingdom was “heaping up its own funeral pyre.” (Those words stalled a hitherto promising career.) In 1973, the French writer Jean Raspail published Camp of the Saints, a novel that portrays Europe falling to massive, uncontrolled immigration from the Indian subcontinent. The peaceable transformation of a region from one major civilization to another, now under way, has no precedent in human history, making it easy to ignore such voices.

   There are some reports that contradict claims of muslim growth, but those are in the minority. Some reports, such as those disseminated by CAIR exaggerate it.
   It matters little. The combination of the deleterious effects of multiculturalism and secularism have given muslims in Europe a power disproportionate to their present population. The same factors serve to give the homosexuals in America political and media power disproportionate to their numbers. In both cases, it is the tail wagging the dog.
   It would matter little if muslims grew like weeds if they assimilated and kept their nasty sharia law to themselves. But their cultural chauvinism aided by politically correct dhimmis pose a severe threat that must be recognized and countered.

   Amsterdam’s Muslim immigrants, who today make up a third of the city’s population, are projected to become a majority by 2020, according to a recent Dutch government report.

   You may draw your own conclusions from that, but one thing is certain: Those of you whose parents were cool enough to bring the family to Amsterdam saw a place vastly different from the one your children will.

   Ditto for the rest of Western Europe, where hijabs and burqas are increasingly visible on the streets of France (9 percent Muslim), Denmark (5 percent), Belgium (4 percent), Sweden (4 percent), Germany (4 percent), Austria (4 percent), Switzerland (4 percent), the United Kingdom (3 percent), Spain (2 percent), Italy (2 percent), Norway (2 percent) and Greece (2 percent).

   An average woman in the Muslim world is the mother of more than 4 children on average, well more than twice than the European level. This sums up into an annual population increase in the Middle East of around 2%.

   In the midst of the Europe’s victorious 19th century the population growth rate was not more than 1.5%. One has to remember that such lower European growth did enabled the colonization of most of the America and Australia and the creation of quasi European states such as USA, Australia, Canada that actually dominate the world scene today.

   In 1960 the percentage of Muslims worldwide was around 13% while in 2001 it reached just above 20%. If the trends continue — all thing equal — in 2050 around 35% of world?s population will be Muslim, by far the largest percentage in Islam’s history.

   In broad terms, the Muslim population in India has been growing in geometrical progression vis-à-vis Hindus who have been growing in arithmetical progression. And with the improvement of educational and economic level of the Hindus, the disparity has become even more pronounced. To put it in broader perspective, Muslim population has steadily grown from 13% in 1800 to 16% in 1850 to 20% in 1900 to 25% in 1947 and anywhere between 30 to 33% today taking into account the geographical area of pre-partitioned India. These statistics are available from various sources.

   The high rate of Muslim population is not unique to India alone. Barring the isolated case of Indonesia, Muslim population growth outpaces almost every other group in just about any country in the world.

   Almost ten years ago, I had analyzed the 1961 and 1991 census. The growth disparity even in the two were almost identical to one between the 1991 and 2001. Between 1961 and 1991 Muslim population had grown by 133.66% as compared to Hindu growth of 89.24% — the Muslim population growth being 150% of the Hindu population growth.

   Not since September 8, 1683, when the Ottomans were threatening to breach the walls of Vienna, has Islam been so perilously close to seizing control over Western Europe.

   The implications of all this are far graver than we can even begin to imagine, and it is not just a matter of choosing new and more hospitable tourist destinations.

   An increasingly Islamified Europe will prove ever more hostile to Israel and America, and this trend will only intensify as the Muslim population there continues to grow.

   Even if European governments succeed in reversing the curve, which seems highly unlikely, it will be decades before it would begin to be felt. In the meantime, however, Muslim political power on the continent will develop and expand, and European leade

   This political ascendance threatens to exacerbate existing strains within the trans-Atlantic relationship. The presence of nearly 10 million Muslims versus only 700,000 Jews in France and Germany alone helps explain why continental Europe might look at the Middle East from a different angle than does the United States. Indeed, French and German concerns about a unilateral U.S. attack on Iraq or Washington?s blind support for Israel are at least partly related to nervousness about the Muslim street at home

       My colleague’s post here about a Muslim Public Affairs Committee “training course” shows a chilling example of this. I have highlighted in bold the jargon which would not look out of place at a management consultants’ training course or a new-agey life coaching session:

If you had to reduce their strategy over the past 30 years it would firstly the creation of an Islamic consciousness, and all Muslim women would wear the hijab, everyone eats halal meat — those very basic things that gives visibility to the Muslim community. They know “who” they are. And their Sharia, their law, it now becomes operative within. Secondly, to create organizations and institutions. For example, an Islamic Woman’s Society, an Islamic legal society, an Islamic educational society… now, each of those societies sits down and works out it’s principles and sets “what are our objectives”, “where do we want to go”, “how are we going to get there”, “how does Islam fit within this”, and “where does our law come in”. Once they have that in place, they move to the third stage which is to say to their local authority “look, we have lots of Muslim children in school, should not the school cater for our children, in terms of dress, in terms of Ramadan, in terms of food, in terms of education ?” They’d say, politically, we’re here, should we not be present on national days, should we not be a part of everything. So what has happened is they’ve engaged the political structures at local, regional and national levels. Islam has now been accepted and brought into the center. That engaging also had to do with the media, social, cultural, religious bodies all operating in tandem so their presence was known, it was felt. And then there is the final stage which is the threat.

       Groups purporting to represent Muslims were encouraged to sign the charter to affirm that they reject violence and discrimination against non-Muslims, value the freedoms of the West and want to live as law-abiding citizens.

       The 10-article charter calls on the Muslim community to issue a fatwa prohibiting the use of violence or threats to their followers.

    Oh Krebs, get a life and a brain.I did not threaten you with a damn thing. It is amazing that you deem my reference to their means of dispatching an infidel as a threat, yet do not seem to recognize the threat of islam itself.

    I am obviously alluding to the standard muslim means of eliminating the infidel. Ever hear of the phrase “Death to the infidels”? Ever hear of Daniel Pearl, a man apparently as deluded as you? It is a fate decreed by islam, not by me.

    Fools like you who refuse to see the danger in islam’s steady encroachment in the West will likely meet a very unpleasant fate should Islam finally succeed in destroying the west. Having your head in the sand leaves you ill prepared to defend yourself. Or perhaps you wish to submit. One thing I have been horrified to learn is that too many people find freedom a burden, a responsibility they wish to be rid of. For those folks I suspect Islam isn’t threatening. So be it. Enjoy your servitude.
