The Peril America Faces

Pamela at Atlas Shrugs eloquently and forcefully describes the peril America faces. She presents John Bolton’s stark assessment of Iran’s nuclear progress. As you read it, ask yourself who it is that you want to stand for America, who do you want in the Oval office? The celebrity messiah Barack Hussein Obama, or John McCain – a man who knows war, has faced an enemy down, and has no doubts about or apologies for American power?

Atlas Shrugs: Apocalypse Now ….. or shortly

The world powers circle jerk. The mad mullahs prepare for the coming of the 12th mahdi. The West, seemingly hardwired for delusion, convinces itself it can live with a nuclear Iran. The fantasy being it will level the nuclear playing field in the Middle East and mirror the nuclear stand off that kept the Ruskies and the Yanks from using their nukes in the last century. But the salve of MAD (mutually assured destruction) is not logical. The state was godless, no religious dogma to cling to. And the Russians wanted to live.

We are dealing with an enemy bent on death, who lives to die for the glory of their god. And yet,despite the close to 12,000 Islamic attacks since 9/11, the homicide bombings, the almost daily arrests of jihadis across the world, we still refuse to accept this. We love life and this love will be the death of us all. It renders us incapable of believing that there are millions of pious fanatics who do no love life.

They didn’t believe Hitler when he wrote Mein Kampf. He made his objectives quite clear. Islamic jihad has made its intentions bloody clear. How dare we not believe them? Ahmadinejad has spewed the most violent annihilationist rhetoric. Who are we to toy we mass destruction? It irks me to hear the left whine about “saving the planet” when no threat to the planet exists (it will outlive us all, trust me). But the threat to mankind is dismissively shrugged off.

    That’s just it. They would place a tree over a human any day of the week. It’s human hating at its most discordant heights. The trouble with the fact that we were raised in a Judeo-Christian but also very permissive world is that many of us can’t bring ourselves to believe that there is a harsh reality out there. We think that everyone wants to tiptoe through the daisies like us. This is the age where ‘pretty boy Pelosi-castrated progressives’ rule for a short time…That is, until the jihadis hack off their ever loving pretty heads.

    Do you remember that conversation you had with your father, you know the one, yes that one, about the birds and the bees, and just what not to do…the one that ended with the inevitable refrain…”and if you don’t stop it, you’ll go blind you know”. Well, maybe not you zee, I don’t know what mothers told their daughters, but I’m sure you heard the refrain before. Well, it appears to me that our fathers missed a most important opportunity in our education, for the conversation SHOULD have ended something more upon the lines like this….”accept your responsibilities son, and always remember, self abuse is a personal and private endeavor, and should always be carried out in the privacy of your own room, with the arm resting lightly between the thighs….NOT, in the most public place possible, with the palm of the hand wrapped firmly around the ego, for the messy discharge of your orgasmic delights will most assuredly send you blind. Oh, and remember to clean up after yourself”

    Well, when I first started reading about Islam and it’s attendant atrocities after 9.11, I was sure i was reading accounts rendered by some fanatical fringe group. But, as time went on, I realized how cocooned I had been. Like many Americans, I haven’t “traveled” – the quintessential mid-western rube, which I am quite content to remain. Europe was interesting but musty and seemed to stink of relics and mold. I loved the American story of wide open ranges and upstart mavericks making their names and fortunes out of nothing. Raw land converted into the farms and ranches we used to have, before bought by corporations. And the American story was all about real progress -as opposed to Obama’s “progress”…and safety was a given and the government folks were indeed civil servants – not baton wielding speech police and PC nannies…………..all to say the ephemeral dream of America I took to be a given. America was what one fought to protect, not to diminish into a third world cesspool. We have been utterly betrayed from within and without and Americans for the most part are still caught in the delusion that safety and prosperity are still a given, totally oblivious to the fact that we go the way of England and Europe, into the full blown horrors that we have always thought to be “somewhere else”. And our enemies love it.
