More Dirty Obama Politics Courtesy Teachers Union

An e-mail distributed by a Virginia teachers union encouraged members to bring politics into the classroom by wearing blue in support of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama and simultaneously suggested that the union’s voter registration efforts include those “you teach.”

The Virginia Education Association (VEA) e-mail drew strong criticism Wednesday from elected Republican officials and some residents after the state Republican Party obtained a copy. The author of the e-mail conceded Wednesday that the e-mail should have been worded differently.

The VEA is an affiliate of the National Education Association, the country’s largest teachers union.

“Schools should be perfectly neutral,” Virginia resident Julie Aurora said Wednesday. “They should teach students how to think, not what to think.”

The last thing socialists want is for people to learn how to think. Barack Obama couldn’t be elected as a dog catcher if the “youth” voting for him knew how to think. Turns out at least half of this country is incapable of thinking. All they can do is chant “change”.

    I’ve linked to you on this Zee. The determination of the left to get their hands on our children; to claim them as possessions of the State and blank canvasses to be imprinted with whatever they deem appropriate is one of the most alarming trends today because it is destroying the future. It’s absurd when you consider that we are forced to put our children into the hands of these agenda-driven activists to inculcate day after day.

    I will fight to the death to keep my grandchildren out of their hands,. Fortunately my sons feel the same way. I left a couple links on your post on this issue. It just doesn’t stop and God forgive those of us who could have, should have, stopped this creeping socialism in it’s tracks long ago.

    At the last election here in Canada, Stephen Harper’s Conservatives proposed instead of the Universal Daycare promise of the Liberals, that the money it would cost [at huge cost of course] instead be given to parents to to use as they thought fit. Naturally, great hue and cry ensued from the lefties that those wicked right wingers would oppose such an apple pie scheme as UDC, but one gave the game away when he flatly stated that the ‘parents would just spend the money on beer and popcorn’. Nanny knows best.

    Better beer and popcorn than condoms, porno and drugs, which seems to be their favorite expenditures.
    My 8 year old grandson told me yesterday that his school, and this being a school in a rural area, was festooned with Obama posters. He is in third grade and was upset that he and those friends of his in the second grade were being badgered with Obama Obama Oboma, but nary a word for McCain.They are teaching about Obama’s life as if he were some freaking hero. Thank God he has wise parents and knows BS when he sees it.

    The thing is, in Obama’s world, his independent thinking will not go unpunished.
