Ye Shall Know Them By Their Fruit…..

A good rule of thumb when judging anyone is to see if their actions match their words. Just like the biblical axiom abjures us to observe , the fruit of an individual’s life is evidence of who they are. And the fruit the Obama’s have lying about in their fields and orchards are rather void of caloric content. Indeed, most of it is poisonous. The choices that the Obamas have made in their lives have little resemblance to the choices they facilely demand that Americans make.

Barack Hussein Obama:

“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

That’s the promise of America, the idea that we are responsible for ourselves, but that we also rise or fall as one nation; the fundamental belief that I am my brother’s keeper; I am my sister’s keeper.”

Obama, however, excludes himself from charitable obligations or brotherly kindnesses. Personally, I’d prefer the crumbs from the “selfish” wealthy to the fictional parities of “economic justice”. I can run with those capitalist crumbs, make them into a damn cake if I am so inclined.  In Obama’s world there will be no cake – just “brothers” like him.

And as far as that “balance” he was trying to achieve, it doesn’t tilt towards having a heart for his hut dwelling brother, George Hussein Onyango Obama or his Aunt Zeituni. The “fruit” that Obama’s family gets from his socialist tree is far more representative of the “justice ” that a socialist reality will deliver than any of Obama’s slick words.

All Charisma, No Heart

How can Obama spare thousands for Chicago’s Muntu Theater of African dance, while allowing his 56-year-old Aunt Zeituni, about whom he reminisces fondly in his best-selling “Dreams From My Father,” to live in a South Boston slum, as exposed by the Times of London this week? While Obama was swimming in well over $600 million in cash contributions, his underprivileged Kenyan-born auntie actually sent his campaign a modest donation.

A 2003 Associated Press story profiling poor people who buy lottery tickets at check-cashing stores apparently quotes Obama’s Aunt Zeituni, describing her as unemployed and cash-strapped.

Obama’s Uncle Omar, also described affectionately in his book, was apparently evicted from his Boston home in 2000 after losing his job. Then there is Obama’s 26-year-old half brother, George Hussein Onyango Obama, discovered by the Italian edition of Vanity Fair to be living in a hovel near Nairobi, claiming to earn “less than a dollar a month.”

It’s funny how Obama can sell his memoir exploiting his relatives and humanize himself for voters, yet be too busy getting ready to change the world to be there for them when they need a hand…

Who knows how many other poor kinfolk Obama has relegated to the shadows. Perhaps, like his Aunt, they have all been instructed to keep their lips sealed. It is very striking to note, again, how controlling Obama is. How obfuscating and evasive he is about his past.

Speaking outside her home in Flaherty Way, South Boston, on Tuesday, Ms Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni” in Mr Obama’s memoir. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.” (Source)

Michelle Obama, while unleashed, provided ample evidence that she doesn’t walk her talk. Her stilted attempt to assume the role of a “proud American” has been unconvincing. But she is a fine fit for her brooding husband, her anger fueling his perpetual angst. Her laughable pose of righteous indignation when being called out for her hypocrisy falls flat and flaccid when measured next to the thinly veiled antipathy of her words. And her words are simply the stale rhetoric of her political class, void of authenticity, trading in lies. She indeed is her husbands match.

Michelle Obama:

“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”

“We have lost the understanding that in a democracy, we have a mutual obligation to one another — that we cannot measure the greatness of our society by the strongest and richest of us, but we have to measure our greatness by the least of these. That we have to compromise and sacrifice for one another in order to get things done. That is why I am here, because Barack Obama is the only person in this race who understands that. That before we can work on the problems, we have to fix our souls. Our souls are broken in this nation.” (Source)

We left corporate America, which is a lot of what we’re asking young people to do,” she tells the women. “Don’t go into corporate America. You know, become teachers. Work for the community. Be social workers. Be a nurse. Those are the careers that we need, and we’re encouraging our young people to do that. But if you make that choice, as we did, to move out of the money-making industry into the helping industry, then your salaries respond.” (Source)

Mrs O: The truth about Michelle Obama’s ‘working class’ credentials

“Michelle is very much like Cherie Blair. She is a middle-class girl who has discovered that money is nice and doesn’t see that as a contradiction with having radical beliefs,” he said.
Chicago’s veteran political consultant and pundit Joe Novak agrees, saying: “She [Michelle] is now motivated more by personal gain than by social consciousness.

“She saw her opportunities, and she took them.”

When she is wooing working-class voters, however, she favours austere black skirts and white blouses…

She did not bother to mention, however, that the paper, like the rest of the family shopping, is taken to an £825,000 three-storey red-brick Georgian revival mansion, set amid beautifully manicured lawns in one of Chicago’s most affluent districts.

Michelle also is under attack for joining the board of a food company where she allegedly took part in a 2005 decision to close a pickle and relish plant in La Junta, Colorado, putting 150 mostly Hispanic labourers out of work.

The small town was devastated.

“It totally amazed me when they closed it,” said La Junta Mayor

Don Rizzuto, who had believed that Michelle and her husband were “the champions of the little guy”.

In their most recently publicised tax returns, for 2005, the Obamas earned £800,000.

This included royalties from the senator’s autobiography Dreams From My Father, and his £82,600 Senate salary.

Under a three-book deal which he subsequently-signed, he stands to earn at least £1million.

To Joe Novak, this only goes to prove that Michelle is distorting reality when she attempts to depict herself as a champion of the masses.

“For the past year (she and Barack) have jetted around the country with Oprah Winfrey and Robert De Niro, enjoying penthouse parties and living the high life,” he said.

Perhaps…. she genuinely may think that her childhood was impoverished. And the one thing that is certain about the incredible Mrs O is that she never intends to have to live that way again.

   Very good post. I have read some of this but you have a way of putting it together that is truly wow!

   I read something today from NoQuarter that you might be interested in. It is from a former staffer of Hillarys that joined Obama’s staff. She is now not voting for Obama. We know some of this, but thought interesting since it comes from one of his campaign staffers. The polls are as Hillbuzz says too. Here is an excerpt. I posted it exactly as was.    Angie, thank you, I appreciate it. I’ve run over to you post. What a nightmarish picture “contact” draws………….. it is going to be interesting to see how the influx of “hillary” voters will work with conservatives if McCain gets in. They did certainly get a raw deal from their party. Kind of like conservatives got a hell of a raw deal from Bush.
