Marxism is a drug from which rehabilitation is near impossible. Once a nation gotten a dose of it, then it is very difficult to get rid of. Present day Russia is a prime example of the withdrawal symptoms. Extensive corruption, crime and slide toward Fascism: from one totalitarian system to another. China's 'economic liberalization' has resulted in something similar. And I have lost faith in the Republican Party as a whole. Oh sure, I would vote for Sarah Palin or Fred Thompson, but no more RINOs who put on a half-assed campaign like John McShame. Hello Zee.
