So, the Obamanites in Ohio abuse their power to peruse Joe the Plumber’s files, Sarah Palin is hung in effigy, and the acolytes for the “One” erect a guillotine for Bush in one of their Obama rallies….but it’s the Republicans that are deranged by hatred?

And then there is more intimidation from Obama’s legal strong arms, this latest incident a none to subtle attempt to dissuade a student from investigating ongoing, ACORN initiated voter fraud in Ohio – yet one more assault on free speech rendered by the Obama “Truth Squads”.

I can not help but think what astounding similarities these Obamanites share with Islam’s religious police, rendering punishment whenever offense is given, correcting non conforming behavior – Obama’s Youth Corp will no doubt be churning out thousands of these pathetic, gutted automatons. They’ll have no fealty to country, nurture no love for family, or ever be permitted to think one original thought. All is sacrificed – soul, sanity, and will – to serve “The One” for the “greater good”.

Obama is reaching out to your kids again. Obama likely drools over the thought of educating the children, at least the ones that survive their mother’s wombs.

The following, quite frankly, curdles my blood. I remember being repelled to my core when I first read of Hitler’s Youth – children indoctrinated to spy on their parents, to see their parents as “other”. How could I have ever imagined that one day my grandchildren would face the same specter, not because America was conquered, but because we elected a man who has all the makings of a fascist tyrant.

Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would.

The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer’s programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the playyard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.

My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust.

Among its factual assertions are these developed in Congressional hearings: * From 2004-2006 ACORN has received $4.6 million in federal funds for its Housing Corporation. * ACORN has 150 subsidiary organizations with a total operating budget of over $110 million this year. * All the 150 subsidiaries operate from the top as a single enterprise, including the nonprofit Project Vote and the political operation known as Citizens Services. * Citizens Services has endorsed Barack Obama and has received over $832,000 from Obama’s campaign during the primary period for services. * ACORN and Citizen’s Services share the same board of directors. They also share office space in New Orleans. The suit documents numerous instances of in-state predicate acts, including the following: * Forgery, uttering forged documents, tampering with writings and records. * Harassing people to encourage them to register multiple times; bribing people to register multiple times; registering non-existent and clearly ineligible voters (like minors); registering the same person in multiple counties; providing fraudulent and forged documents. The suit documents numerous predicate acts committed by ACORN outside Ohio as well, specifically in Nevada, Indiana, Missouri, Colorado, Vrginia, Washington, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina. Administrators at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota–the nation’s largest Catholic women’s college–unexpectedly blocked young conservatives on campus from hosting Bay Buchanan, a popular conservative commentator and U.S. Treasurer under President Reagan. The speech was scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, but was abruptly canceled after college officials deemed Ms. Buchanan’s remarks on “Feminism and the 2008 Election” too politically charged, citing concerns about the school’s tax status. “Because we are a 501(c)(3) organization, the College of St. Catherine has sought to avoid any appearance of partisanship during the 2008 political season,” said College spokesman Julie Michener.

That Ms. Michener can say that with a straight face is remarkable, considering the actions of her school’s program, Voter Education 2008. Program-sponsored seminars have highlighted student agitators protesting the GOP’s convention and featured a representative from the Joint Religious Legislative Task Force, which pushes for universal healthcare and minimum wage increases.

St. Catherine’s student handbook claims, “Students enjoy the collective assurance and protection of free inquiry and open exchange of facts, ideas and openness.” Except, not really. St. Catherine is filtering out ideas it doesn’t want its students to hear.

What is “social justice”? The abolition of privacy. Its repudiation of property rights, far from being a fundamental, is merely one derivation of this basic principle. Socialism, declared Marx, advocates “the positive abolition of private property [in order to effect] the return of man himself as a social, i.e., really human, being.” It is the private status of property — meaning: the privacy, not the property — that stands in opposition to the social (i.e., “socialized,” and thus “really human”) nature of man. Observe that the premise holds even when we substitute x for property. If private anything denies man’s social nature, then so does private everything. And it is the negation of anything and everything private — from work to worship to even family life — that has been the social affirmation of the socialist state.

What is “social justice”? The opposite of capitalism. And what is “capitalism”? It is Marx’s coinage (minted by his materialist dispensation) for the Western liberalism that diminished state power from absolutism to limited government; that, from John Locke to the American Founders, held that each individual has an inviolable right to his own life, liberty, and property, which government exists solely to secure. Now what would the reverse of this be but a resurrection of Oriental despotism, the reactionary increase of state power from limited government to absolutism, i.e., “totalitarianism,” the absolute control of absolutely everything? And what is the opposite — the violation — of securing the life, liberty, and property of all men other than mass murder, mass tyranny, and mass plunder? And what is that but the point at which theory ends and history begins?

And yet even before that point — before the 20th century, before publication of the Manifesto itself — there were those who did indeed make the connection between what Marxism inherently meant on paper and what it would inevitably mean in practice. In 1844, Arnold Ruge presented the abstract: “a police and slave state.” And in 1872, Michael Bakunin provided the specifics:

[T]he People’s State of Marx … will not content itself with administering and governing the masses politically, as all governments do today. It will also administer the masses economically, concentrating in the hands of the State the production and division of wealth, the cultivation of land, the establishment and development of factories, the organization and direction of commerce, and finally the application of capital to production by the only banker — the State. All that will demand an immense knowledge and many heads “overflowing with brains” in this government. It will be the reign of scientific intelligence, the most aristocratic, despotic, arrogant, and elitist of all regimes. There will be a new class, a new hierarchy of real and counterfeit scientists and scholars, and the world will be divided into a minority ruling in the name of knowledge, and an immense ignorant majority. And then, woe unto the mass of ignorant ones!

It is precisely this “new class” that reflects the defining contradiction of modern leftist reality: The goal of complete economic equality logically enjoins the means of complete state control, yet this means has never practically achieved that end. Yes, Smith and Jones, once “socialized,” are equally poor and equally oppressed, but now above them looms an oligarchy of not-to-be-equalized equalizers. The inescapable rise of this “new class” — privileged economically as well as politically, never quite ready to “wither away” — forever destroys the possibility of a “classless” society. Here the lesson of socialism teaches what should have been learned from the lesson of pre-liberal despotism — that state coercion is a means to no end but its own. Far from expanding equality from the political to the economic realm, the pursuit of “social justice” serves only to contract it within both. There will never be any kind of equality — or real justice — as long as a socialist elite stands behind the trigger while the rest of us kneel before the barrel.

Smaller U.S. Banks Resist Federal Cash Infusion, But May Be Forced To Take It.

The opposition suggested that the government may have to continue to press banks to participate in the plan. The first $125 billion will be divided among nine of the largest U.S. banks, which were forced to accept the investment to help destigmatize the program in the eyes of other institutions.

In rolling out the program, Treasury said it would make the rest of the money available to banks that requested it. Officials said they expected thousands of banks to participate.

Both the American Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers of America said that they knew of few banks that planned to participate.

“I’m not sure we’ve heard from any that want to participate,” said Karen Thomas, vice president for government relations at the community bankers group, which represents about 5,000 banks. “That said, if any community banks do enroll, we anticipate it will be just a small minority.”

Federal regulators said they did expect some banks to volunteer, though none stepped forward yesterday. But they added that they would not rely on volunteers. Treasury will set standards for deciding which banks can be helped, and the regulatory agencies will triage the banks they oversee: The institutions faring best and worst will not receive investments. The institutions in the middle, whose fortunes could be improved by putting a little more money in the bank, will be pushed to accept the money from the government.

“We will encourage institutions to apply,” said John C. Dugan, the comptroller of the currency, who oversees most of the nation’s largest banks.

In return for its investments, Treasury will receive preferred shares of bank stock that pay 5 percent interest for up to five years. After that, if the companies haven’t repaid the government’s initial investment, the interest rate goes up to 9 percent.

TO discover the roots of to day’s economic crisis, consider a tale from 1995.

That March, House Speaker Newt Gingrich was scheduled to address a meeting of county commissioners at the Washington Hilton. But, first, some 500 protesters from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) poured into the ballroom from both the kitchen and the main entrance.

Hotel staffers who tried to block them were quickly overwhelmed by demonstrators chanting, “Nuke Newt!” and “We want Newt!” Jamming the aisles, carrying bullhorns and taunting the assembled county commissioners, demonstrators swiftly took over the head table and commandeered the microphone, sending two members of Congress scurrying.

The demonstrators’ target, Gingrich, hadn’t yet arrived – and his speech was cancelled. When the cancellation was announced, ACORN’s foot soldiers cheered.

The “Death of American Business Act”

n a less remarkable time, an issue which might be leading the discussion and which more voters should be paying attention to today, is the Employee Free Choice Act (“EFCA, H.R.800), sponsored by the union’s best friend in the House of Representatives, George Miller (D-CA), whose donor list is a who’s-who of “International Brotherhoods”, “Associations of Workers”, and “Political Leagues”.

The EFCA, also called “Card Check”, allows unions to force a workplace to be unionized by public signing of voting cards by workers, complete with the pressure or overt threats which one might expect union organizers to bring against hesitant workers.

A secret ballot is an absolutely fundamental principle in America’s labor system. Under EFCA, that goes away, at great peril to businesses and their employees alike.

The Heritage Foundation calculates that EFCA “would disenfranchise 105 million workers.”

ACORN Whistleblowers Expose More Fraud

Nothing like getting the information straight from the horses mouth. According to Newsmax, four former employees of ACORN and of ACORN Housing Corp. have supplied sworn affidavits to the Consumer Rights League that provide eyewitness accounts of how the two organizations have commingled funds and resources, in apparent violation of federal law. By commingling the funds it is not only using government funds to push its liberal political agenda, but also it provided a smoke screen for some ACORN leaders to line their own pockets with your tax dollars.

# AHC employees were instructed to hide documents from federal auditors with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD.

# AHC employees were instructed on “steering” loans to partner banks, including Chase (for loans in the New Orleans area) and Bank of America for other areas around the country.

# AHC National Field Director Lee Trujillo stated in the presence of several of these witnesses that “AHC and ACORN would be funded out of the same account.”

# AHC and ACORN have also shared “voter initiative money.”

# Internal AHC emails and other documents “clearly show that AHC is paying for lease space occupied by ACORN.”

It Ain’t Social Justice Obama, It’s the Greedy Poor and Their Self-Righteous Poverty Pimps

It’s funny how greed only afflicts the other guy. With John McCain jumping on the anti-avarice bandwagon, the consensus that the greed of rich Wall Street CEOs, analysts, and investors is to blame for the financial market turmoil now spans the New York Times editorial page, the Democratic punditocracy, and the highest reaches of the Republican ticket. Liberal columnists, university professors, and crusading politicians railing against market selfishness are all supremely confident that their own salaries reflect exactly their worth and not a penny more—because they would never seek to make a profit from their labor, right?

It’s also axiomatic that only the rich—that is, anyone making more money than you—seek to get something for nothing. Thus, several developments last week in New York City’s massive housing-welfare regime will never be portrayed as a manifestation of greed among the poor, but only as social justice.

The article goes on to describe how this so called “social justice” has now been translated to mean that the homeless in New York have a right to shelter. Since freaking when? In which constitution? So typical of the guilt ridden, elitist left – imposing their penance on all else. It was really quite a bit simpler when this country ascribed to Christian ideals which, for over two hundred years, were sufficient to shelter the poor without a government mandate and without the use of your hard earned money.

Gateway Pundit: Obama Tells Ohio Supporter He Aims to “Spread the Wealth”.

How many small business owners will be closing their doors as this plague of socialism rolls over America like a bank of rancid, low lying clouds, forever occluding the light of sanity and the clear horizon of freedom? How many more entrepreneurs will be closing up shop?

I have owned the Fresh Fish Company in Denver for four years. I was able to put the money together to buy this restaurant after working there for 15 years. It gives me a great sense of pride that I was able to work my way up through the ranks and live the American dream.

If even one of these four initiatives passes, my business may have to close.

Amendment 56 (mandatory health care) will force anyone who employs 20 or more people to pay 80 percent of the employee’s health insurance costs, plus 70 percent of their dependents’ health insurance. This would cost me an additional $9,000 per year, per employee. With my 5 percent profit margin (average for restaurants), I would need to generate an additional $180,000 per year, per employee to cover that cost. I am going out of business if Amendment 56 passes.

Let’s take a look at a quote from a 2004 article – Case Study: Chicago- The Barack Obama Campaign – written Toni Foulkes, a Chicago ACORN Leader, which was published in the journal Social Policy. Did we mention that Social Policy recently pulled this particular article from their website, while leaving links to all articles up?

“Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar (the name of the Republican governor at the time) and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year. Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).

Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office. Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for STate Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends.”

Not only does Foulkes boast of Obama’s ACORN leadership training, but also makes it clear that Obama’s post-law school organizing of “Project VOTE” in 1992 was undertaken in direct partnership with ACORN.

And about that “Marxist New Party” mentioned above?

Yeah, I feel much better now that I know that addicts are going to be provided for. Maybe they’ll start putting these miscreants in the foreclosed houses that will be sitting empty. I’m just waiting to hear one of these poverty pimps suggest that. So picture that nice, foreclosed, four bedroom colonial sitting, empty, next to your – now devalued – home being turned over to some pooooooor people who have never earned a freaking dime in their life, because it’s all about them you know. Just ask Acorn graduate Obama who must be having wet dreams over this turn of events.

And screw McCain who put his name to this travesty. I have little love for the man anyway, but it seems he left his powder and his balls in Viet Nam, because he ain’t defending American ideals now. What an opportunity for him to say that it is just these types of “progressive” policies that Barack Obama advocates that brought us to this juncture. What an opportunity for him to ask Obama and his band of advising thieves for a show of the dirty hands that they have had in the Fannie Mae pie for over a decade.

What an opportunity, for a real American with a pair of balls to say, enough already.

But it seems we have few real Americans in Washington, Just the spiritually emasculated and the character deprived clowns who are wiping the back of their hands across their greasy, greedy mouths as they feast on the carcass of America.

The whole idea behind this Marxist nightmare is to redistribute the wealth.

They hide. They hide behind children, they hide behind illegals, they hide behind the poor – all of whom they use to provide the cover of “compassion”.  They hate freedom, they hate capitalism, they hate life, and they hate this country.
In this election they have produced a public face that they are hoping will successfully camouflage the rot that composes their souls as they make a bid to take this country down.  His name is Barack Hussein Obama.

That Barack Hussein Obama should participate with this nation’s leaders on this economic meltdown is as much of a sham as his accusations that Republicans and capitalism have brought America to the precipice upon which we now totter. But perhaps the public doesn’t understand — as I didn’t until this month — just how much of that collapse was in fact orchestrated by the socialist hijinks of congressional Democrats (including Obama), by Bill Clinton, and by Jimmy Carter: Between them, they forced banks and S&Ls into the volatile and risky sub-prime market; and then the Democrats repeatedly prevented any attempt by congressional Republicans (and by President Bush) to oversee and regulate that market.

Why would they do this? First, because Democrats have long been getting huge campaign donations from banks and other mortgage lenders; in fact, the top two recipients of such money are Sens. Chris Dodd (D-CT, 95%) and Barack Obama. Both subsequently encouraged exactly the sort of loan speculation they now decry, an act that reeks of corruption. In addition, many former members of the Clinton administration, including Franklin Delano Raines, former Commerce Secretary William Daley, and Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick (of “Gorelick’s wall” infamy), ended up running Fannie and Freddie or lobbying for them… and incidentally raking off tens of millions of dollars for themselves.

But the real culprit in this collapse isn’t just Democratic corruption; it’s the leftist demand to increase minority home ownership by lending low-income borrowers more money than they qualify to borrow, with higher mortgage payments than they are able to pay. That is, offering mortgages that violate the most basic rules of banking, as a form of “housing welfare.” That is the crux of this very real, but very specific crisis.

…in 2005, McCain was pushing the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and require more stringent regulation by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, by which time Barack Obama — who did nothing — was on his way to becoming a top recipient of of donations from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Wall Street firms enmeshed in the sub-prime mortgage mess. (Indeed, the biggest chunk of industry donations to Camp Obama comes from the Finance, Insurance & Real Estate (FIRE) sector — just edging out Lawyers & Lobbyists.) So McCain did not suddenly embrace this issue; if anyone has, it is Obama, who is grasping for an issue to regain the lead in the public opinion polls with less than 50 days until the election.

Meanwhile, Fannie and Freddie also became a kind of jobs program for out-of-work Democrats.

Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, the CEOs under whom the worst excesses took place in the late 1990s to mid-2000s, were both high-placed Democratic operatives and advisers to presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Clinton administration official Jamie Gorelick also got taken care of by the Fannie-Freddie circle. So did top Clinton aide Rahm Emanuel, among others.

The Clinton administration has turned the Community Reinvestment Act, a once-obscure and lightly enforced banking regulation law, into one of the most powerful mandates shaping American cities—and, as Senate Banking Committee chairman Phil Gramm memorably put it, a vast extortion scheme against the nation’s banks. Under its provisions, U.S. banks have committed nearly $1 trillion for inner-city and low-income mortgages and real estate development projects, most of it funneled through a nationwide network of left-wing community groups, intent, in some cases, on teaching their low-income clients that the financial system is their enemy and, implicitly, that government, rather than their own striving, is the key to their well-being.

The CRA’s premise sounds unassailable: helping the poor buy and keep homes will stabilize and rebuild city neighborhoods. As enforced today, though, the law portends just the opposite, threatening to undermine the efforts of the upwardly mobile poor by saddling them with neighbors more than usually likely to depress property values by not maintaining their homes adequately or by losing them to foreclosure. The CRA’s logic also helps to ensure that inner-city neighborhoods stay poor by discouraging the kinds of investment that might make them better off.

I can not urge you enough to read Melanie Phillip’s Revolution You Can Believe In, a dissection of what Barack Hussein Obama’s community organizing actually served to do. Far from some benign outreach to the poor and young, it was no more than another chapter in this Marxist’s malignant vision for a broken and castrated America. …in the world of Barack Obama, community organisers are a key strategy in a different game altogether; and the name of that game is revolutionary Marxism.

The seditious role of the community organiser was developed by an extreme left intellectual called Saul Alinsky. He was a radical Chicago activist who, by the time he died in 1972, had had a profound influence on the highest levels of the Democratic party. Alinsky was a ‘transformational Marxist’ in the mould of Antonio Gramsci, who promoted the strategy of a ‘long march through the institutions’ by capturing the culture and turning it inside out as the most effective means of overturning western society. In similar vein, Alinsky condemned the New Left for alienating the general public by its demonstrations and outlandish appearance. The revolution had to be carried out through stealth and deception. Its proponents had to cultivate an image of centrism and pragmatism. A master of infiltration, Alinsky wooed Chicago mobsters and Wall Street financiers alike. And successive Democratic politicians fell under his spell.

His creed was set out in his book ‘Rules for Radicals’ – a book he dedicated to Lucifer, whom he called the ‘first radical’. It was Alinsky for whom ‘change’ was his mantra. And by ‘change’, he meant a Marxist revolution achieved by slow, incremental, Machiavellian means which turned society inside out. This had to be done through systematic deception, winning the trust of the naively idealistic middle class by using the language of morality to conceal an agenda designed to destroy it. And the way to do this, he said, was through ‘people’s organisations’.

The organizer, he said, ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people; fan the latent hostilities to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act.’[40] The organizer’s function, he added, was ‘to agitate to the point of conflict’[41] and ‘to maneuver and bait the establishment so that it will publicly attack him as a “dangerous enemy.” ‘[42] ‘The word ‘enemy,’ said Alinsky, ‘is sufficient to put the organizer on the side of the people’;[43] i.e., to convince members of the community that he is so eager to advocate on their behalf, that he has willingly opened himself up to condemnation and derision.

Obama’s connection with Alinsky, whom he never met but whom he reportedly idolised, was through two bodies promoting the Alinsky model of community organisation, ACORN and the Gamaliel Foundation.  John Perazzo again:

Obama was trained by the Alinsky-founded Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in Chicago and worked for an affiliate of the Gamaliel Foundation, whose modus operandi for the creation of ‘a more just and democratic society’ is rooted firmly in the Alinsky method. As The Nation magazine puts it, ‘Obama worked in the organizing tradition of Saul Alinsky, who made Chicago the birthplace of modern community organizing…’  In fact, for several years Obama himself taught workshops on the Alinsky method.

If anyone should doubt Obama’s debt to Saul Alinsky, they might ponder this encomium from no less an authority than Alinsky’s own son. In a letter to the Boston Globe, L. David Alinsky wrote of his father’s influence at the Democratic Convention:

All the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.

Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.

How the hell do morons like this get any airtime on C-Span? This seems to me to be a flavor of Jeremiah Wright’s doctrine. The YouTuber who posted this is just as ignorant and foul as the freak who is raving about “whitey”, so I’d avoid visiting unless verbal porn is your thing.

I realize this type of rant knows no ethnicity. All human hearts are capable of advocating genocide and extermination. I post it just because I have grown so damn sick of hearing and reading that only “whitey” is capable of racism. The KKK has withered into an ineffectual hodgepodge of good old boys because whites weren’t buying it. I would hope the black community would treat the Kambon Kambous of the world with the same contempt and disdain.

As I attended their Wednesday, 24 October, rally in the Good Hope Centre, Cape Town, I was surprised by the extremism of Dr Al-Mansour. Seldom has it been my misfortune to endure such a loud illogical stream of venom from a public speaker. Al-Mansour must have been an embarrassment to all sane Muslims. Not that Christians don’t have some similar fanatics disgracing our podiums with hysteria and unsubstantiated drivel. But this American Muslim (described as a Californian lawyer, banker, businessman and activist) went beyond all extremes in his outrageous statements.

Al-Mansour claimed that Muslims were heirs to the greatest civilizations and achievements in history. Muslims had reached America before Columbus was born! Censorship: Barack Obama Flexes His Brown Shirt Muscles

The convention of Mad Marxists proceeds apace and the reknown photographer Zombie is keeping multiple audiences abreast of all of the antics of all the little beasties gathered in Denver. Michelle Obama, I hear, gave a dull and treacly speech, so one imagines that they must have her on a tight leash.

Equally noxious Kennedy idolatry ran rampant while outside the convention walls, on streets braided tightly with police, Michelle Malkin was accosted by frothing-at-the-mouth moonbat Alex Jones, who was screaming, among other absurdities, “Kill Michelle Malkin”. Perhaps he can apply for a job leading Obama’s future Brown Shirts, a role he seems most eminently qualified for.

Perhaps this Alex Jones is a harbinger of what we can expect to be given license from an Obama administration. Barack Obama has clearly signaled that he is not, nor will he be, a friend of free speech.

His “Most Precious” is stamping his feet and demanding the curtailment of the now familiar Ayers ad that suggests that America best give heed to warnings about Obama’s Marxist political roots and ideology.

I’d say Obama is a bit panicked, wouldn’t you? What’cha hiding Barry sweetie?

Sen. Barack Obama has launched an all-out effort to block a Republican billionaire’s efforts to tie him to domestic and foreign terrorists in a wave of negative television ads.

Obama’s campaign has written the Department of Justice demanding a criminal investigation of the “American Issues Project,” the vehicle through which Dallas investor Harold Simmons is financing the advertisements. The Obama campaign — and tens of thousands of supporters — also is pressuring television networks and affiliates to reject the ads. The effort has met with some success: CNN and Fox News are not airing the attacks.

“This is a sad ploy to circumvent the First Amendment by a campaign who has no arguments with the merits of our ad. It’s the classic maneuver: If you can’t win on the merits, file a lawsuit,” said a spokesman for the American Issues Project, Christian Pinkston, who said his group’s non-profit status allowed it to participate in elections as long as it does a majority of policy work, which it plans to do.

The Obama campaign plans to punish the stations that air the ad financially, an Obama aide said, organizing his supporters to target the stations that air it and their advertisers.

But the ad continues to air widely. Evan Tracey, who tracks campaign advertising at TNS Media Intelligence, said it has been broadcast 150 times in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan. Federal Election Commission reports indicate that Simmons has spent more than $2.8 million buying ads.

The Obama campaign is giving a glimpse of the future for conservative free speech. They’re trying to sic the Justice Department on TV stations, many of them Sinclair Broadcasting stations, that are airing the independent ad on Obama and Bill Ayers.

The “progressives” have long had a problem with speech that displeases them. Recall also a similar stunt by the Clintons over the release of the movie “Path to 911″ . In looking for a link to reference that , I run into a more recent account and I was surprised to learn that the 40 million dollar production was never released as a DVD. Now there is a new documentary out that gives insight into the mechanics of the censorship involved.

Remember the controversy over the ABC miniseries “The Path to 9/11″? For some mysterious reason, it has yet to appear on DVD. Why might that be? Now the story is told in a documentary by John Ziegler that is to be screened tonight at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times reports:

["Blocking The Path to 9/11"] makes the case that former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton have pressured television and studio executives into quashing the DVD release of ABC’s 2006 miniseries “The Path to 9/11.” The privately financed documentary argues that the Clintons, who decried the original miniseries as a right-wing hatchet job, are out to salvage their political influence and legacy at the expense of free expression.

We are informed by Andrew Breitbart that John Ziegler “is a really good guy” who understands the power of media bias. Andrew comments:

Countless movies are being made to affect the culture, the election. One was made that tried to play it straight, and because the Clintons pulled a stunt claiming it was a GOP hit job (what if it was?!), the producers were left holding the bag. A movie that was seen by tens of millions, cost $40 million to make and was stunningly photographed and entertaining, cannot make its way to the public via DVD. It’s pathetic and should outrage everyone.

I realize the price of arugula is going up, but couldn’t our prospective “wealth re-distributor in-chief” throw his baby brother a couple of bucks? For the price of one of his Hyde Park lattes Obama could quadruple what his brother scrapes by on now.

Think of the contrast in lifestyle. Obama shops at Whole Foods. George burrows for food in alleys. Obama lives in a million dollar mansion. George lives in a 3×3 shanty made of wood scraps and corrugated metal. Obama has a gate to protect his family. George has scars from fights in his Kenyan neighborhood where people are routinely hacked to death with machetes.

Obama, D-Ill., the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for president, mentions George briefly in one of his books, describing him as a beautiful 5-year-old boy, The Independent reports. Obama’s father, who met his mother when they were studying in Hawaii, returned to Kenya when the future senator was 2.

George, two decades younger than the U.S. senator, said he met him a second time in Kenya in 2006.

“It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes,” he said. “It was like meeting a complete stranger.”

With Obama’s “hate John McCain because he’s rich” ad, he’s insinuating that owning a number of houses – in realty, the McCains own a variety of investment properties, which accounts for John McCain’s not being able to give precise number – is somehow a character flaw. I couldn’t disagree more. I would argue this is a character flaw: allowing your brother to whither away in a hut in Nairobi, Kenya, while you’re living the good life in America.

This is a must read piece from Investors Business Daily. Barack Obama seems to have spent a lifetime pining for the father who abandoned him at age 2. His first autobiography (and what 47 year old doesn’t need two?) was dedicated to the man. Now he has issued the essential blueprint for the Obama Tax Code, and we find that it too is part of dad’s legacy. Naturally, candidate Obama Jr. wishes to raise taxes on the productive and the married, (especially two-income professional families — which will chase educated women from the work force, as the NY Sun discussed brilliantly, here) And, naturally, he wishes to redistribute money to those who work less, or don’t work at all — in the form of tax “credits” — which will put money in your pocket whether you have paid any taxes or not. That is a trick devised long ago, (Nixon era, sigh), and enshrined in the (GOP-supported) Earned Income Tax Credit — which has always been a welfare program for the working poor. (Peter Ferrara explains clearly how Obama taxes = welfare, here.)

Under Obama, everyone who isn’t “rich” — a number he won’t specify, (but let’s say — $250,000 per year) deserves support. And everyone who isn’t “poor” gets to pay for it. The upper middle class, whose income ususually come in the form of salaries, gets to support the rest of the country. As for the truly rich — well, a truly rich man I met recently told me about the process for obtaining a second passport and dual citizenship in a tax haven — which he had been investigating. Applications are up. In our very mobile times, the truly rich, and the financial industries which make them that way, generally can find a way around onerous taxes.
