America Awakening.
Not quite a month since the inauguration and my coinage ‘Obamadebacle’ is up front and in view for anyone to see. The strange part is he seems to not care and the question is why? Under any normal circumstances he would be on track to destroying his chances of re-election. Two things come to mind, the first is that in order to make the massive change in America that he and his acolytes envisage, he had to hit the ground running and throw everything into the effort and let the devil take the hindmost. Do you think the huge ‘stimulus’ package, all one thousand odd pages of it was thrown together in a couple of weeks in Congress? No, this is all part of a long term well laid out plan. First they ruin the economy via the Community Re-Investment Act courtesy of Raines, Dodd and ACORN. Push it over the edge in the last part of the Presidential campaign to doom the Republicans and get Obama into the White House. [The reason they went nuclear over Sarah Palin was that she scared the shit out of them, she was the rock on the track of their Marxist Express Train about to de-rail it, she had to be blasted out of the way. They're a nasty lot these compassionate lefty Bolsheviks.]
The second reason he doesn’t care it that with the ‘stimulus’ package, he has earmarked billions to buy votes for his re-election campaign, a la if you take money from Peter to pay Paul you can always count on Paul’s support. Add those Pauls to their natural constituency and Hey Presto! you have a majority.
If what I say is so, I think they’ve miscalculated badly, but then I never thought he was electable in the first place so I don’t place great confidence in that assertion. Given Obambi’s shape shifting abilities and the short attention span of too much of the populace he could get away with it. Already now the bill is passed he’s gone from ‘catastrophe’ to ‘our grandparents had it much worse, we have the strength to get through this’.
The Prince of Thieves, an article by Lance Fairchok at American Thinker, is but one of many laying out what’s in store.
The era of Obama-inspired bi-partisan goodwill was very brief. As with all his carefully choreographed pandering, it was in large measure a rhetorical tool. In the language of average Americans a “rhetorical tool” equates to a lie, a lie told to get votes. Obama was very good at convincing otherwise intelligent people that he was sincere, and the “Hope” and “Change” he would bring to often imaginary problems would make America a better nation, bringing opposing sides together to tackle all those problems in consensus and warm fellowship. It was all nonsense. A good speech does not make good government. We are beginning to get an idea of what the next four years will be like. It will be a purely partisan disaster.
We have to hope that eventually this moving target will get hit with enough arrows to pin it down so the casual observer can see it for what it is. The conclusion of the article brings the said target into focus for those of less sure aim.
If you thought we were merely emerging from a divisive election and things will shake themselves out, you should realize it is far more than that. It is no less than an attempt to transform America into a socialist state. It is not the battle of political ideas; it is the battle for survival of our democratic republic against an ideology that is a proven failure and a certain disaster. It is the attempt by socialist elites to implement an agenda that is carefully hidden from the voter and would be abhorrent to them, should they understand the implications. We know that socialism is a road to failure. Examples of that belief system’s depredation are everywhere, from Great Britain to Venezuela, and a hundred points in between. Socialism is a parasite that consumes a nation’s lifeblood, come quickly or slowly it will kill the host.
The Socilaists who call themselves Democrats work hard to consolidate and perpetuate their control. They took us without violence, by subterfuge, stealth, and deceit. But make no mistake, President Barack Obama is motivated by the same controlling impulses that inspire Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Daniel Ortega; it is the same totalitarian tendency that animates all utopian ideologies. In the weeks and months to come, the ugliness of this ideology will become more and more apparent. His associations with criminal, racist, terrorist, and American hating colleagues and friends define him, and at a fundamental level, our new president does not respect the nation he now presumes to lead.
President Obama is the Prince of Thieves, who with his minions in Congress will do more to undermine this nation in a few short years than all the decades of economic turmoil, cold war and the war on terror. He wraps his policies in moral platitudes, cynically using little old ladies at rallies to anchor his inconsistencies and lies in the minds of a credulous public. The press is his willing propagandist.
They are stealing our children’s and grandchildren’s future, they are stealing money that we toiled for, they are weakening our nation and embracing our enemies, and very soon they will steal our freedoms one at a time, hoping we do not notice. Talk radio is already in their sights. They are stealing America. If we let them.
“If we let them”. Words to remember.

Melanie Phillips says…..
…..America – What Have You Done?
Good question. Here’s another one, how the hell do people not see what is in front of their eyes? She has an answer for that too:
I have argued before however that, given Obama’s radical roots in the neo-Marxist, nihilist politics of Saul Alinsky, it is the undermining of America’s fundamental values that is likely to be this President’s most strategically important goal. I have also suggested that, since this agenda is promoted through stealth politics which gull the credulous middle-classes while destroying the ground upon which they are standing, his second-tier appointments should be closely scrutinised.
You remember of course Obama’s guff about healing the oceans etc, well I see a monster backlash in the future once people figure just how huge a ride they’ve been taken on and I don’t see how that won’t happen. This Presidency is going to be the biggest cock up in all American history and it’s all so damn unnecessary. Or maybe not. Much as Germany and Japan had to be pulverised into submission before their societies could be re-made, and much as Iraq had to go through the horror of Al Qaeda and the Sunni bloodletting before the country could be scared into doing what GWB gave them the opportunity to do, so the left and its ideas are so entrenched in America now that the only way out is to let the extreme socialistic tendency of Obama via Alinsky and co have free rein for a while, let the people see the stark truth of where the country is heading with its multi culturism, its Europeanism, its wussification via the lefty academia, media and intellectuals, and don’t forget the idiot fembots too, and allow the real America to come back.
We’re going to need you Sarah Palin.

My Obama VooDoo Doll
Progressive Love
A West Hollywood Halloween display showing a likeness of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin hanging by a noose has caused a furor among some residents who reported it as a hate crime, authorities said Monday.
But Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said the mannequin sporting a beehive hairdo, glasses and a red coat does not rise to the level of a hate crime because it was part of a Halloween display.
“I’m not defending this; I’m not criticizing it. It doesn’t rise to the level of hate crime,” said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, who said he went out to the house himself to look at the display this morning.
“Now, if there was a crime against bad taste . . . ”
(Source: LA Slimes)
If bad taste were a crime, California would be one large penal colony, but, that’s not the point. “Hate crime” is a ludicrous construct scraped from the lunatic liberal’s fetid brain. Hate is not a crime. Sweetheart, if I punch you out, it ain’t going to be with love in my heart. My hatred is implicit, it is understood. It doesn’t make your bloody nose any more severely traumatized for the hatred invested in it’s assault. So arrest me for assault, but do not give me any song and dance about hatred. Especially if punching out a white guy is considered less hateful than punching out a black or a gay.
I am sure the twat who hung Sarah in effigy hasn’t one fond thought for the woman. And that is fine by me. But do not turn around and tell me that if i put a noose around an Obama and Michelle effigy, I’d get the same blase response from the arbiters of social justice. Typical of the libs, there is one rule for them, and another set of rules for those who do not subscribe to their touchy-feely notion of goodness. It’s perfectly acceptable to hate Palin, but let one noose show up around dark pigmentation, and eeeeewww, it’s mean old nasty hate.

Stick it to Obama
But hey, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe if I just throw out this Obama voodoo doll, and describe how I will stick a pin through it every time I have to be subjected to Obama’s voice or picture, the La Slimes will deem it as tasteless, but certainly not a hate crime.
And they’d be partially wrong. I’ll stick those pins in with a vengeance because I truly do hate everything about Obama. But hating him is not a crime, though, no doubt, it will be soon. And I will still keep sticking those pins through his likeness and unless I take that into reality and stick one into his fat ass, they can just take their hate crime nonsense and shove it where all the rest of their politically correct palaver issues from.
I do wish someone in the neighborhood would hang Obama and Michelle in effigy. The contrast in how that would be perceived compared to the Palin display would be a textbook study in “progressive” hypocrisy.

Get Your “Palin is a C***T” T-Shirt, Courtesy of Obama’s “Civilized” Progressives
UpDate: I thought the T-shirts pictured below were bad, but this – this is vile. This comes from a mind that has beat off to porn magazines the majority of their lives while killing kittens between sessions.
Having, much to my shame, been a liberal most of my life, I am pretty calloused, but I can’t bring myself to reproduce this here. You’ll have to follow the link.
The Most Offensive Palin Hit Yet
ANd yet, the liberals are upset because some McCain supporter had a monkey with Obama’s name on it, regardless that Bush was referred to as chimp or some such derogatory slang for eight years.
Glenn Beck keeps insisting that we are all of us, DimocRATS and Republicans alike, Americans. I beg to differ. I have nothing in common with these people and they are, frankly, using up way too much good oxygen.

Progressives are strutting about in righteous indignation over the decorum of McCain supporters, totally ignoring yet another sophomoric and vile demonstration of their side’s true nature. Note how proud they are.
WOW Staffers Also Wear Sarah Palin C*nt T-Shirts
Yesterday we asked why the media was reporting a McCain supporter calling Barack Obama an “Arab” and completely ignoring Obama supporters calling Sarah Palin a cunt, even wearing T-shirts with the phrase “Sarah Palin is a cunt” on them.
This morning I see a quite a few links to yesterday’s post, as well as some news outlets finally reporting it (ABC’s Political Punch, LA Times’ Top of the Ticket, The Politico and it was mentioned on Fox News at 9 a.m.)
In following a couple of the links to the original piece written here at WUA, I find there are more wearing those T-Shirts, named and posing proudly…. members of WOW staff, to be exact.

Delusional Democrats DARE to Accuse the Right of Hate Mongering
Throughout this post I borrow heavily from the incomparable Zombietime collection of protest photos to demonstrate the absolute absurdity, hypocrisy and abysmal deceitfulness of current democratic claims that recent crowds at Palin events constitute dangerous and hate mongering politics.
CNN contributor David Gergen, who has advised Democratic and Republican presidential administrations, said Thursday that the negative tone of these rallies is “incendiary” and could lead to violence.
“There is this free floating sort of whipping around anger that could really lead to some violence. I think we’re not far from that,” he said. “I think it’s really imperative that the candidates try to calm people down.” (Source)
True to their MO, we see here on a grand scale the Progressive’s psychopathic exercise of projection, a practice that liberals execute with unceasing predictability.
Where were these guardians of civil discourse and respectful politics when their side gave awards for a movie depicting a Bush assassination?
By unanimous vote of a five-member jury of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), despite having received “largely negative reviews.”
FIPRESCI’s general secretary insists there was nothing political about their decision, and that in fact the film “irritated us a lot.” On what basis, then, did they award it a prize?
“[F]or the audacity with which it distorts reality to reveal a larger truth.” The “larger truth” presumably being (a) Arab Muslims are fall guys in the war on terror, (b) Bush needs to be shot in the chest at close range, (c) all of the above.(Source)
“…distorts reality to reveal a larger truth.” Isn’t that always the way with liberals? Their vaunted “larger truth” – a truth as far removed from reality as the distortions that they use to support it. Much like Dan Rather’s “fake but accurate” used to defend his perfidy.
Where was their outcry for civility when a play produced another assassination scenario?
On the heels of last year’s “documentary” by Gabriel Range concocting an assassination of President Bush in “Death of A President,” Bill Hutchinson of the New York Daily News reported a new play in the Big Apple that also treads along the Bush-assassination theme. The playwright’s thinly disguised Bush-resembling fictional president gets “whacked like Julius Caesar by a confidant.”
A FAMED CITY theater group is inviting controversy by staging a play in which a character thinly veiled as President Bush gets assassinated. “President and Man” begins a five-day run at The Duke on 42nd St. tonight as one of eight one-act plays staged by the Naked Angels Theater Company, whose members include Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Conservatives are already panning it as another sick liberal jab at the President. (Source)
That one person at a recent McCain rally called out “kill him” – someone I personally suspect may have been an Obama goon squad plant – should somehow be construed as beyond the pale is laughable when those accusations come from the side who have had wet dreams about the deaths of Bush and Cheney for eight years. But oh, now we have Soros’s tactics in play, the old race card, as enunciated by the pathetic John Lewis
Democratic lawmaker John Lewis on Saturday said Republican White House contender John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin were “sowing the seeds of hatred and division” with incendiary rhetoric against rival Barack Obama. (Source)
Lewis, A Lazy Media, And Their Race Cards
It’s ironic that Congressman Lewis cites Alabama Governor George Wallace… a segregationist, racist DEMOCRAT.
Senator McCain and Governor Palin must be striking a nerve.
“Congressman John Lewis’ despicable attack on Senator McCain and Governor Palin gives us insight into his bitter partisan heart, and exemplifies the lengths that the far left will go to for a win. Barack Obama’s surrogates continue to play the race card. Obama should denounce Lewis’ statements immediately but his history tells us otherwise.”
— David Webb, Host of The David Webb Show
[...]
We’ve seen one videotape with the voice of a McCain supporter screaming “Kill him!”, referring to Senator Obama? But that isn’t the norm as alleged. I’m waiting to see something, anything backing up the careless and irresponsible reporting by so-called journalists.
[...]
Where’s the first hand accounts and quotes with attribution. This is pure rumor mongering, exploited by a civil rights era-has been-United States Congressman doing what Democrats do best: squelch speech by any means necessary. The race card has always been their nuclear option, and a lazy, complicit press is their convenient conduit.
[...]
Okay, let’s take off the gloves
Yes, let’s do. Let the pictures and quotes speak for themselves. We have endured eight years of the most vile and twisted and malicious feral politics directed at the right, at our troops and at this administration. I become almost apoplectic in considering that these filthy progressives dare to accuse our side of practicing the politics of hatred that they have all but perfected.
Let’s look at the underbelly of the progressives, the belly they slink along on through this swamp of an election season and for the last eight years. I can only cover but a few items, for to record their vitriol in full would take volumes.
If there is a concern for riots, then they ought to rein in their global warming poster boy Gore who is most assuredly adding fuel to the fire.
Al Gore urges civil unrest
“If you’re a young person looking at the future of this planet and looking at what is being done right now, and not done, I believe we have reached the stage where it is time for civil disobedience to prevent the construction of new coal plants that do not have carbon capture and sequestration,” Gore told the Clinton Global Initiative gathering to loud applause.
Just Google any Hollywood name + “Palin” and you will be treated to some of the most vile and ignorant assaults on Palin imaginable, Sarah Bernhardt and the execrable Madonna being the latest.
At the altar of leftism – The blood of the unborn
Comedian Sandra Bernhard isn’t laughing about a woman’s shelter in Boston canceling her speaking engagement over an attack she made on Sarah Palin. Bernhard made a crude remark about Palin becoming a victim of rape but she insists her comments were only about abortion and taken out of context. Bernhard’s initial comments came in a one-woman stand up show Bernhard did last month in Washington, D.C. During the event, Bernhard said Palin would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” and the comments came in a diatribe against Palin’s pro-life views….
Madonna leads fans in anti-Palin chant ,’I'm gonna kick her a** if she don’t get off of my street!’
Do you hear any in the dinosaur media deploring this?
RNC Announces New Security Measures Following Violence & Vandalism
WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 — Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan released the following statement today in response to attacks against Republican volunteers and supporters, and acts of vandalism against Republican Victory centers.
“There is no place for violence, vandalism, or intimidation in politics. As a result of violence against Republican volunteers and supporters, and acts of vandalism against Republican Victory centers, the RNC has redirected funds previously allocated for get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts — totaling at least two millions dollars — for 24-hour security at volunteer centers across the country. We are making this investment in protective security because our staff and volunteers deserve to know they are safe as they work to elect the next President of the United States.
“I am appalled that the RNC must take this action. The fraudulent activities of ACORN combined with thuggish behavior of intimidation, violence, and vandalism on the part of others are clear signs that our opponents don’t believe in free and fair elections.
…or this?
Hundreds of Demonstrators Rally Outside Palin Fundraiser near San Francisco
Sarah Palin flew into San Francisco to attend a GOP fundraiser on October 5 but did not speak publicly and won’t be staying a minute longer than necessary to collect money in the bay area. Several hundred angry protesters gathered in front of the Hyatt-Regency Hotel in Burlingame, adjacent to the San Francisco airport, to demonstrate their displeasure with the GOP platform. Following the vice-presidential candidates recent debate with Democratic candidate Joe Biden, many protesters’ signs referred to Palin as an outright liar. Others took issue with her extremist views on abortion. The California Democratic Party sent invitations to area party members to “Greet Sarah Palin” in protest, but representatives of groups World Can’t Wait and the Raging Grannies outperformed the more staid Democrats with colorful costumes, props and chants.
Environmental activists dressed as wolves howled in pain while union members led chants from a flatbed truck. Veterans for Peace members from chapters 101 (San Jose and SF Peninsula) and 69 (San Francisco) mocked the Republican McCain ticket campaign poster by adding the tag line “War Without End” and “Give Us Several Trillion Dollars” to their signs.
Do the freaking Progressives wringing their hands over Republican “hate mongering” have a problem that Obama’s campaign is being implemented according to the gutter politics ascribed to by ACORN and their damnable Messiah?
Did ACORN Take Obama’s ‘Get In Their Face’ Rallying Cry Literally?

Barack Obama, speaking at a rally in Elko, Nevada, on September 17:
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.”
And now we read, in The New York Post, today:
Two Ohio voters, including Domino’s pizza worker Christopher Barkley , claimed yesterday that they were hounded by the community-activist group ACORN to register to vote several times, even though they made it clear they’d already signed up.
Barkley estimated he’d registered to vote “10 to 15″ times after canvassers for ACORN, whose political wing has endorsed Barack Obama, relentlessly pursued him and others.
Claims such as his have sparked election officials to probe ACORN.
“I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register,” Barkley said. “They’d ask me if I was registered. I’d say yes, and they’d ask me to do it [register] again.
“Some of them were getting paid to collect names. That was their sob story, and I bought it,” he said.
Barkley is one of at least three people who have been subpoenaed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections as part of a wider inquiry into possible voter fraud by ACORN. The group seeks to register low-income voters, who skew overwhelmingly Democratic.
“You can tell them you’re registered as many times as you want – they do not care,” said Lateala Goins, 21, who was subpoenaed. “They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter,” she told The Post.
Inside Obama’s Acorn
By their fruits ye shall know them
Acorn’s tactics are famously “in your face.” Just think of Code Pink’s well-known operations (threatening to occupy congressional offices, interrupting the testimony of General David Petraeus) and you’ll get the idea. Acorn protesters have disrupted Federal Reserve hearings, but mostly deploy their aggressive tactics locally. Chicago is home to one of its strongest chapters, and Acorn has burst into a closed city council meeting there. Acorn protestors in Baltimore disrupted a bankers’ dinner and sent four busloads of profanity-screaming protestors against the mayor’s home, terrifying his wife and kids. Even a Baltimore city council member who generally supports Acorn said their intimidation tactics had crossed the line.
Acorn, however, defiantly touts its confrontational tactics. While Stern himself notes this, the point is driven home sharper still in an Acorn-friendly reply to Stern entitled “Enraging the Right.” Written by academic/activists John Atlas and Peter Dreier, the reply’s avowed intent is to convince Acorn-friendly politicians, journalists, and funders not to desert the organization in the wake of Stern’s powerful critique. The stunning thing about this supposed rebuttal is that it confirms nearly everything Stern says. Do Atlas and Dreier object to Stern’s characterizations of Acorn’s radical plans — even his slippery-slope warnings about Acorn’s designs on basic freedom of movement? Nope. “Stern accurately outlines Acorn’s agenda,” they say.
Do Atlas and Dreier dismiss Stern’s catalogue of Acorn’s disruptive and intentionally intimidating tactics as a set of regrettable exceptions to Acorn’s rule of civility? Not a chance. Atlas and Dreier are at pains to point out that intimidation works. They proudly reel off the increased memberships that follow in the wake of high-profile disruptions, and clearly imply that the same public officials who object most vociferously to intimidation are the ones most likely to cave as a result. What really upsets Atlas and Dreier is that Stern misses the subtle national hand directing Acorn’s various local campaigns. This is radicalism unashamed.
There best not ever be a Progressive “getting in my face”. I shall make their asinine accusations come true in a manner that they will not in the least bit enjoy. To be sure, I loathe the Marxists creeping in under the banner of Obama, and I will not apologize for it. But at least I have the freaking integrity to confess it, while they wallow in their absurd pretensions of enlightenment. Let their enlightenment be damned to the hell from which it issues.

Lig Pic.
Zee, re your comment on my last Lig Pic:
These young ladies will be the Sara Palins of our future. Able to wield hammers and wit with equal facility because of their granddaddy!!
Funny you should say that:
A little known fact on Sarah:
And from Standpoint Online, How Sarah Got Drafted.
When John McCain invited Sarah Palin to join his cause, he blindsided the press. But a campaign for her to be called to serve her country had been building its case for months.
The McCain camp was surely aware of Task Force Palin, the motley alliance of blogs and websites who spotted Palin’s potential and then devoted themselves to spreading the word. I certainly was: I joined the “Draft Sarah Palin” Facebook group weeks ago. If the political press didn’t notice, that may be because they no longer talk to anyone but themselves. An early complaint against Palin, a candidate they had refused to take seriously despite her acknowledged place on the Republican shortlist, was that she had never appeared on Meet the Press. Where else should they get their information from?
So here I am, an old ex-Brit, living in Toronto and I knew about Sarah Palin and the possibility of her selection as VP nominee, and yet the mighty NYT and others, with all their resources and self described professional ‘journalists’ were taken by surprise. And they can’t connect the dots either between their un-professional hack work in support of Obama and their dropping like a stone circulation figures and advertising revenue. Well this is why incest is illegal in most places, guess the Democrats and the MSM didn’t get the memo.

Barack Obama’s Followers:The Hellish Souls of the Progressives

The Face of the Left
Maybe it’s all those decades celebrating and reveling in repugnant sexual deviancies that has so dehumanized the left. Or maybe it is the haunting whispers of all the slaughtered infants collectively murmuring in their ears that have set them on a course of mental derangement. These are the folks who, after all, believe that animals have equal worth to humans, who loathe their nation, their heritage and themselves, yet champion murderers and pedophiles and rapists. They usher in the specter of eugenics and euthanasia gladly and sneer at regular folks, unless they can use them in the political arena.
I am stealing, in full, a post from MK at The Midnight Sun. As ugly as it is to look at the sewage that the left swims in, not enough people are aware of how rancid the followers of Obama are. This needs as much exposure as possible, as repellent as it is. MK is right:
I’m not going to bother fisking, debunking or whatever it’s called, what this woman said. Just pass this on to however many people you know folks, let them see the sneering, elitist, hatred the left really have for Sarah Palin; someone you support, someone who represents you, someone just like you, ……..you.
To attempt to comprehend the hellish soul of a “progressive” is indeed a futile undertaking. But please understand, this is the common voice of Barack Obama’s base. Pass it on.
Salon.com [Cintra Wilson] – I confess, it was pretty riveting when John McCain trotted out Sarah Palin for the first time. Like many people, I thought, “Damn, a hyperconservative, f**kable, Type A, antiabortion, Christian Stepford wife in a ’sexy librarian’ costume — as a vice president? That’s a brilliant stroke of horrifyingly cynical pandering to the Christian right. Karl Rove must be behind it.”
Palin may have been a boost of political Viagra for the limp, bloodless GOP (and according to an ABC/Washington Post poll she has created a boost in McCain’s standing among white women to a 53 over Obama’s 41). But ideologically, she is their hardcore pornographic centerfold spread, revealing the ugliest underside of Republican ambitions — their insanely zealous and cynical drive to win power by any means necessary, even at the cost of actual leadership.
Sarah Palin is a bit comical, like one of those cutthroat Texas cheerleader stage moms. …… The throat she’s so hot to cut is that of all American women. I don’t want Sarah Palin being the representative leader and custodian of my rights, my Constitution and my country any more than I want polygamist compound leader Warren Jeffs baby-sitting for my preteen goddaughters.
Progressive Hell
As a woman who does not believe what Palin believes, the thought of such an opportunistic anti-female in the White House — in the Cheney chair, no less — is akin to ideological brain rape. What this Republican blowup doll does with her own insides in accord with her own faith is her business. I did not think that women being downgraded to second-class, three-holed chattel would be a pressing concern in my lifetime. I thought it was like polio, or witch burning — an inhumane error that had already been corrected.
But after eight years of Republican hegemony, and now the potential ascendance of this sheep in ewe’s clothing, I am so mortally offended I feel like it is really time for women to be angry, hardcore and disgusted again. Not just with old white Christian patriarchs and their hopelessly calcified, religiously condoned misogyny, but also with the self-abnegating, submissive female Uncle Tommies whose ambitions and eagerness to please the powerful males of their tribe are so desperate that they would sell out their sovereignty over their own bodies. And yours too.
It was the media critic Douglas Rushkoff who pointed out, several years ago, that Republican politicians were employing marketing techniques perfected by Clotaire Rapaille. Rapaille, broadly paraphrased, introduced a theory that approximately 80 percent of all decision making is done at the level of the limbic system — our lowest, most colorless, reptilian emotional level. Republican strategies are consistent with a belief that the voting process, for most people, is full of feelings — but devoid of reason. Sarah Palin, in this light, makes so little sense that she makes perfect sense.
…… The choice of Palin represents what the Christian right is really saying to the women of America. The subtext: It’s a Faustian bargain, girls. To elevate your sex to power and respectability, you must first give us the keys to your chastity belt. It is unsurprising that the morally compromised fraternity of corruption-infested Republican robber barons and war profiteers came up with this stunt, but we must regard it in the same light as the rest of their treasonous, criminal behavior.
We must regard Sarah Palin as the Carmella Soprano of the GOP — an enabling wife of organized crime, who sees, hears and speaks no evil of the boys in her old-boy network for whom she does this ideological lap dance. …… Sarah Palin is the White House bunny — the most nauseating novelty confection of the evangelical mind-set since Southern “chastity balls,” wherein teen girls pledge abstinence from premarital sex by ceremonially faux-marrying their own fathers.
Sarah Palin is the sexual front of the culture war and the embodiment of the bold social engineering stance of the new authoritarianism that Republicans have been employing ever since they stole the election in 2000. As a result of conservative Republican policies, America has proved itself to be too rife with fraud, bureaucratic constipation, self-inflicted economic calamity, cronyism and incompetence to effect any positive movement anywhere at all, even at home.
But, the Republicans seem to be saying, at least we can offer you the hope of putting women back in their place. Bristol Palin will no doubt be a fine example as a first teen, particularly now that her mother is inflicting an old-fashioned shotgun wedding on the hapless, horny, condomless youth who impregnated her. The Republicans are, in effect, saying: We’re not going to win this race on the basis of being the better candidates.
Barack Obama is going to make you think. You don’t like thinking. Here’s an It Girl vice president who is easy on the eyes, you stodgy old white baby boomer. She’s like a grown-up version of Mary Ann from “Gilligan’s Island.” She embodies the raw conviction that everything the Republicans have ever done has been right. Sarah Palin and her virtual burqa have me and my friends retching into our handbags. She’s such a power-mad, backwater beauty-pageant casualty, it’s easy to write her off and make fun of her. But in reality I feel as horrified as a ghetto Jew watching the rise of National Socialism.
She is dangerous. She is not just pro-life, she’s anti-life. She is the suppression of human feeling and instinct. She is a slave to the compromises dictated by her own desire for power and control. Sarah Palin is untethered from her own needs and those of her family, which is in crisis, with a pregnant daughter, a son on the way to Iraq and a special-needs infant.
She should, however, be a galvanizing point for women everywhere. Not to support her candidacy but to rebel against the Republican Party and take back the respect and equality so hard-earned by the women’s liberation movement in the 1970s.We’ve been shanghaied. This is sick. We need to slap the face of our bad frat-boy date and walk home from this drive-in movie. Sarah Palin may put out to be popular, but the rest of America’s women don’t need to do the same.
If you still have your mental hazmat gear on, see another example of a liberal gutter mind at work from feminazi harridan Windy Doniger. Believe it or not, she may be even more foul than her sister feminaz, cintra.
Sarah Palin terrifies these people right down to their empty, black souls.

Barbara Kay on Sarah Palin.
Barbara Kay is one of my favourite writers in The National Post, to which I subscribe, the actual print edition, delivered to my door the old fashioned way. Her column today, “I Am Sarah, Watch Me Act”, contrasts her life with the tenets of feminism, and feminism comes out the loser.
But win or lose the election, Sarah Palin has already altered the cultural landscape of America, possibly of the Western world. In years to come, social archeologists will mark her speech as the official beginning of an end to the gender wars, and, one hopes, a return to trust and collaboration between the sexes.
Because Palin proved you don’t need the Sisterhood to pierce the glass ceiling. In her single calculated comment about women, she said, “This is America, and every woman can walk through every door of opportunity.”
Got that? It wasn’t Gloria Steinem that put me on this podium. It was my made-in-small-town-America traditional social values combined with old-fashioned patriotism and Alaska-instilled pioneerism.
Palin isn’t “redefin[ing] the feminist ideal,” as Jonathan Kay put it yesterday in his column’s misguided paean to Palin as a kind of multi-function iFeminist for the postmodern woman. Ideologybased behaviour of any kind is irrelevant to Palin, and millions of other small-town women — and always was. Love of family, community, country — not conspiracy theories — is what guides their political compass.
The ultimate American individual, Palin wasn’t ever committed to any collectivity but America itself. She was never “I am Woman, hear me roar.” She was always, “I am Sarah, watch me act.” Palin represents what would have happened to American women without a feminist revolution. For legal and social equity for women was bound to arise organically through political and cultural reform, as more and more women entered university and the work force, a process well underway before feminism became an organized movement.
The National Post is, like the Wall Street Journal, south of the border, what a newspaper should be, what they used to be. It also promotes the values that Canada used to have before Trudeaupia’s baleful influence.
We are seeing an historical event, one that will influence the Western world for years to come. You only have to look at the left’s hysteria to see that they know it too, and there isn’t a damn thing they can do about it. Sarah has woken the sleeping giant, that happens now and then when America is facing grave danger.

Sarah Palin’s “Small Town” Experience
Far from being a reprise of Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Palin was a clear-eyed politician who, from the day she took office, knew exactly what she had to do and whose toes she would step on to do it.
The surprise is not that she has been in office for such a short time but that she has succeeded in each of her objectives. She has exposed corruption; given the state a bigger share in Alaska’s energy wealth; and negotiated a deal involving big corporate players, the US and Canadian governments, Canadian provincial governments, and native tribes – the result of which was a £13 billion deal to launch the pipeline and increase the amount of domestic energy available to consumers. This deal makes the charge of having “no international experience” particularly absurd.
In short, far from being a small-town mayor concerned with little more than traffic signs, she has been a major player in state politics for a decade, one who formulated an ambitious agenda and deftly implemented it against great odds.
Her sudden elevation to the vice-presidential slot on the Republican ticket shocked no one more than her enemies in Alaska, who have broken out into a cold sweat at the thought of Palin in Washington, guiding the Justice Department’s anti-corruption teams through the labyrinths of Alaska’s old-boy network.
It is no surprise that many of the charges laid against her have come from Alaska, as her enemies become more and more desperate to bring her down. John McCain was familiar with this track record and it is no doubt the principal reason that he chose her.
Focusing on the exotic trappings of Alaskan culture may make Palin seem a quaint and inexplicable choice. But understanding the real background of her steady rise in politics suggests that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are underestimating her badly. In this, they join two former Alaskan governors, a large number of cronies, and a trail of enemies extending back over a decade.

Obama Smears McCain-Palin As Lipstick On A Pig
How the hell did Barack Obama get this far? No matter how the Progressives try to spin this, Obama basically called Palin a pig. How the hell can this man use the phrase – “Lipstick on a pig”- after this rather widely circulated Palin remark?
“What’s the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom?” Palin, Alaska’s governor, asked in her speech to the Republican convention.
“Lipstick.”
What the hell kind of judgement does he employ?

Sarah Palin Action Doll
This will be one for the new grand daughter. If all goes well with America, Sarah Palin will be finishing her second term when my grand daughter is 12. Finally, women have produced an admirable leader and role model instead of the typical shrill, constipated feminist.

Sphere: Related ContentTwo new action dolls have gone on sale of Sarah Palin, the Alaska Governor who John McCain has chosen to be his Republican presidential running mate.
The dolls are the latest in a line of American political candidates who have been immortalised including John McCain and Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Two variations of the doll are on sale – Sarah Palin the Executive and Sarah Palin the Super Hero – available from toy company http://www.herobuilders.com at $27.95 (about £16) for the executive doll and two dollars more for the super hero version.
It is designed to capitalise on Sarah Palin mania that has gripped Republicans after the electrifying speech by the self-confessed “hockey mom” at the party convention in St Paul, Minnesota.

Hating Sarah Palin
The REProgressives are acting like babbling idiots in their furious contempt of Sarah Palin. This piece captures their asininity beautifully.
Sphere: Related ContentBut, seriously, just look at the negatives: she’s a popular first-term governor, she’s a woman, she’s happily married, she has five kids, one of them with Down’s syndrome, she’s a maverick, she’s from way beyond the Beltway, she’s taken on both the Republican Party and Big Oil, she shoots automatic weapons, she can kill a moose with a butter knife and fillet a sea lion with a smile, her husband’s a roustabout Eskimo snowmobile champ, she’s a hockey mom, she was Miss Wasilla, she looks like she should be playing Cecily, the saucy librarian, in Tom Stoppard’s Travesties, and she doesn’t wear pantsuits. Heck, she hasn’t even appeared yet on Meet the Press! I mean, who in his right mind would vote for her?
Sure, if she were one of ours, not only would we have nominated her by acclamation, since she fulfills every trope of feminism except for her unfortunate and inexplicable opposition to murdering unborn children, we would also have made at least two TV movies about her life, celebrating her choice to have her fifth child and the announcement yesterday that her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant and is going to marry the teenage father of her child. That’s the kind of heartwarming, inclusive, empowering story we love — she’s like Juno come to life as Juneau, set in Mystery, Alaska.
But she’s not a Democrat, which despite her va-va-va-voom appearance, means she’s not really a woman, which is one of the reasons we’ve spent the past four days since McCain unveiled her trying to tear her limb from limb. Just because she’s the governor of a state sandwiched between two obscure and unimportant countries, Canada and Russia, and spent more time in her first five minutes visiting American troops in Iraq than Evita Barry did during his entire Rainbow Tour, what could she possibly know about foreign policy? It’s not like she’s John Edwards or something.
So that’s why we’re having our Wellstone Funeral Moment at the moment. We mean well; we promised ourselves we wouldn’t go over the top with our outright loathing of the Neanderthals who preach “Christian” values while practicing Wiccanism and child sacrifice and who hate black people and gay people and want to destroy the environment just because they can, and want to amass more money than even John Kerry or Jon Corzine or Herb Kohl or Jay Rockefeller or Dianne Feinstein — the five richest senators — or Ted Kennedy or John Edwards or Nancy Pelosi have. That, usually, is the Kos Kidz’s job. Along with speculating exactly how Bush got from My Pet Goat to planting the depth charges that blew up the levees in New Orleans.
But sometimes the mask slips and you can see — whoops! — how much we hate you. Normally we’re against hate in all its forms, and embrace tolerance as one of our defining moral attributes. But when it comes to you conservatives, well, with the best will in the world, we just can’t tolerate you. You’re elitist, you’re judgmental, you’re hypocritical, and we know that deep down you hate us even more than we hate you. Therefore, by any means necessary, we will defeat you this fall. Voter fraud, “walking around” money, legions of lawyers, as many recounts as it takes — bring it on!
Because we need to take back our country. We need to take it back from fascists like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, and give it back to its rightful proprietors, patriots like Henry Wallace, Sidney Hillman, Norman Thomas, Gus Hall, Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, Joseph Stalin, Saul Alinsky, William Kunstler, Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Bobby Seale, and, yes, my guy, the Talking Parrot, you know who.

It Isn’t Just Me…..
………….who thinks Obama will lose big time. Spengler has a marvellous column that as far as I can tell hasn’t received a lot of attention. Its title, How Obama Lost the Election. Of course it’s a lot easier to chime in now with this stuff and I know I’m one of them there cock-eyed optimists, but all along I just couldn’t see Obama getting elected. In a long campaign such as the US election, you need a little more than charisma, high flying speech making and white guilt to sustain yourself, sooner or later people will notice there’s nothing there.
From the Spengler column:
Obama will spend the rest of his life wondering why he rejected the obvious road to victory, that is, choosing Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential nominee. However reluctantly, Clinton would have had to accept. McCain’s choice of vice presidential candidate made obvious after the fact what the party professionals felt in their fingertips at the stadium extravaganza yesterday: rejecting Clinton in favor of the colorless, unpopular, tangle-tongued Washington perennial Joe Biden was a statement of weakness. McCain’s selection was a statement of strength. America’s voters will forgive many things in a politician, including sexual misconduct, but they will not forgive weakness.
That is why McCain will win in November, and by a landslide, barring some unforeseen event. Obama is the most talented and persuasive politician of his generation, the intellectual superior of all his competitors, but a fatally insecure personality. American voters are not intellectual, but they are shrewd, like animals. They can smell insecurity, and the convention stank of it. Obama’s prospective defeat is entirely of its own making. No one is more surprised than Republican strategists, who were convinced just weeks ago that a weakening economy ensured a Democratic victory.
…
Don’t you get a bit tired of all the ‘didn’t see that one coming’ over the choice of Sarah Palin? Well we know the Dems didn’t see it coming, Obama probably thinks, as with the surge, nobody anticipated it. So how to explain this editorial , published before her speech at the convention, on her knowledge, importance and governorship of oil and gas rich Alaska? Some people besides John McCain and the GOP were aware of her. Worth reading the whole thing of course but I liked this passage, specially vis a vis her supposed inexperience, no wonder she’s disparaging of Obama’s Community Organizing.
Palin’s also given Congress something it can do now — remove restrictions on drilling for 30 billion barrels in the Chukchi Sea and all the natural gas of Beaufort Sea in Alaska’s offshore. As governor, she’s already gotten the environmental impact work out of the way so shipments to the Lower 48 can start in as little as a year or two. “Congress can do that for us right now,” she told IBD.
Palin knows energy. She’s already figured out how to deliver energy to the U.S. without Congress — by championing state legislation to create a 1,712-mile natural gas pipeline across Canada to the U.S.
It was a major feat, negotiating with the Canadian government, educating lawmakers and getting the public behind her. In a decade, the $30 billion project will ship 4.5 million cubic feet of gas a day from the North Slope to Houston’s air conditioners, Iowa’s farm machines and Boston’s winter furnaces.
There’s little doubt this is the kind of leadership the U.S. needs. Not only will getting serious about Alaska help the economy, it will also help our allies in Europe and the Far East whose economies are severely battered by high energy prices and who are seeing some of the most direct threats from the petrotyrants.
John McCain’s pick of Palin shows he’s serious about energy — and about securing America’s future. Congress mustn’t ignore Alaska any longer. Petrotyranny is moving beyond economics and becoming a national security issue. Alaska is a big part of the answer.
My bold. Why would McCain not pick her for his running mate?

Ronald Reagan Redux.
OK so she’s been Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Harry Truman, Theodore Roosevelt and probably Joan of Arc for all I know, but this re-incarnation of Ronald Reagan is courtesy of Michael Reagan, his son. It has therefore, an authenticity a little beyond mere impression. I think it won’t be too long before comparisons become superfluous, she will be Sarah Palin in her own right.
Sphere: Related ContentLike Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin is one of us. She knows how most of us live because that’s the way she lives. She shares our homespun values and our beliefs, and she glories in her status as a small-town woman who put her shoulder to the wheel and made life better for her neighbors.
Her astonishing rise up from the grass-roots, her total lack of self-importance, and her ordinary American values and modest lifestyle reveal her to be the kind of hard-working, optimistic, ordinary American who made this country the greatest, most powerful nation on the face of the earth.
As hard as you might try, you won’t find that kind of plain-spoken, down-to-earth, self-reliant American in the upper ranks of the liberal-infested, elitist Democratic Party, or in the Obama campaign.
Sarah Palin didn’t go to Harvard, or fiddle around in urban neighborhood leftist activism while engaging in opportunism within the ranks of one of the nation’s most corrupt political machines, never challenging it and going along to get along, like Barack Obama.
Instead she took on the corrupt establishment in Alaska and beat it, rising to the governorship while bringing reforms to every level of government she served in on her way up the ladder.
Welcome back, Dad, even if you’re wearing a dress and bearing children this time around.
