Gaddafi Hopes Obama’s Supposed Support of Israel is Election Propaganda
Madman and dictator Col. Muammar Gaddafi, who once declared that “one day…Islam will disseminate its power over the European countries“, is ardently hoping that Obama’s pretense of supporting Israel is simply plain old election propaganda, as do all of Obama’s muslim supporters throughout the world. Gadaffi concludes that Obama’s “inferiority complex” prevents him from declaring camaraderie with Israel’s Palestinian enemies.
The more you dig, the more you discover that Barack Hussein Obama is like honey to a fly when it comes to attracting the support of muslims, terrorists and socialist scum. One wonders why his supporters remain oblivious. Of course, given that his primary base is composed of the hate-America crowd, they probably aren’t oblivious at all, just accepting.
There are elections in America now. Along came a black citizen of Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school in Indonesia. His name is Obama. All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man. They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency. But we were taken by surprise when our African Kenyan brother, who is an American national, made statements that shocked all his supporters in the Arab world, in Africa, and in the Islamic world. We hope that this is merely an elections “clearance sale,” as they say in Egypt – in other words, merely an elections lie. As you know, this is the farce of elections – a person lies and lies to people, just so that they will vote for him, and afterwards, when they say to him: :”You promised this and that,” he says: “No, this was just elections propaganda.” This is the farce of democracy for you. He says: “This was propaganda, and you thought I was being serious. I was fooling you to get your votes.”
Allah willing, it will turn out that this was merely elections propaganda. Obama said he would turn Jerusalem into the eternal capital of the Israelis. This indicates that our brother Obama is ignorant of international politics, and is not familiar with the Middle East conflict.

Are You Sick of Being Gored by Al Yet?
Vaudevillian PT Barnum made famous the phrase, “A sucker is born every minute.” My guess is he wasn’t imagining that America would one day mass produce them. Al Gore did. His fraudulent carbon credit scams, however, are a bit more serious than vaudeville huckstering.
If Americans allow this global warming farce to be foisted upon them, history will one day mock and scorn a people who so blithely marched a wealthy and thriving nation into the abyss. Indeed, I have no doubt that future historians will render Al Gore in the ignominy he so richly deserves and hail PT Barnum a wiser man by far.
Sphere: Related ContentA year and a half ago, James Spann questioned the money and the so-called scientific consensus pushing the idea that mankind is causing global warming. Today, he says it’s losing steam. Two imminent surveys of meteorologists may further complicate the climate debate. […] “[Y]ou know, there was some great power in that movement back in January of 2007,” Spann said. “It’s pretty rapidly running out of gas and it just seems like every day more and more people are coming out with the fact that that’s pretty much a hoax. And these are Ph.D climatologists that are pretty much saying what I said all along.”
In January 2007, Spann received national attention when he wrote a post on his blog challenging a post by The Weather Channel climate expert Dr. Heidi Cullen. Cullen had argued that meteorologists should have the American Meteorological Society (AMS) credentials taken away if they doubt the validity of manmade climate change. “If a meteorologist can’t speak to the fundamental science of climate change, then maybe the AMS shouldn’t give them a Seal of Approval,” Cullen wrote for Weather.com on Dec. 21, 2006. Spann fired back on Jan. 18, 2007: “Well, well,” Spann wrote. “Some ‘climate expert’ on ‘The Weather Channel’ wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for ‘tolerance’, huh?” Spann claimed at the time he didn’t know any broadcast meteorologists who were sold on the theory touted by global warming alarmists.
[…]
“Of course, the root of this whole thing is money,” Spann said. “And, there is a vast amount of wealth being generated by this whole issue. And I always recommend to folks – if anyone speaks on the subject, get a disclosure and find out their financial interests in it.”
[…]
“I’m not a politician, don’t understand it – I honestly don’t know,” Spann said. “But, I will tell you that there’s a lot of people who have gotten very, very wealthy – filthy rich off this subject. I think former Vice President [Al Gore] collects a minimum of $200,000 per speech on this and all of this money – it can corrupt anybody, and I just think it’s all about money.”

Roger Scruton.
I’m reading Roger Scruton’s England: An Elegy.
I like this passage:
‘It would hardly be too much to say,’ wrote W.Macneile Dixon,
‘that into this one word, duty, the English have distilled the whole body of ethics.’ The merit of this notion, he argued, lies in its simplicity: it strikes no high-high pitched or rhapsodical note; it applies as well to daily drudgery as to the heroism of war. It makes no claims at all for the person who obeys it, but on the contrary records his act as something expected, implying that anything else would be an aberration.
At the same time, the ethic of duty was an ethic of right. Built into the English view of law was the belief that individuals must take responsibility for their own lives and suffer the consequences of their actions. Staying on the right side of the law was not merely a duty therefore; it was also a liberation. For it guaranteed that you were safe, that no busybody could give you orders or force you to comply with a routine that you had not chosen. The law was there not to coerce you or to shape you into regiments obedient to the state. It was there to free you from the state and its officials, and to allow you to ‘get on with your own life’ in private. Those who minded their own business and attended to their duties were rewarded with inalienable rights. And the most important of these was the right to do what you ought.
The extraordinary result of this was that, while the English believed in law and authority, they despised officialdom and distrusted the state.
Exactly what the left either fails or refuses to understand.

It’s June, here is this month’s tree pic.
Cut Grass.
Cut grass lies frail:
Brief is the breath
Mown stalks exhale.
Long, long the death
It dies in the white hours
Of young-leafed June
With chestnut flowers,
With hedges snowlike strewn,
White lilac bowed,
Lost lanes of Queen Anne’s lace,
And that high-builded cloud
Moving at summer’s pace.

Christ-ophobia in Cincinnati

The world is simply twisted these days. A library in a small mid-west town prohibits the use of it’s facility to a Christian group who wished to hold a financial planning seminar there. You see, they might quote scripture and that, as you know, scares the Christophobes nearly to death.
Just a little upriver from this ever so sanctimonious library, a county park is put into a tither at the prospect of a local church holding an outdoor service in it’s amphitheater. Same problem – the G word might slip out. I can guarantee you, had a gay group (or a muslim group) asked for use of these facilities, there wouldn’t have been a single snag.
Maybe Cincinnati, the mid-west town in question, will soon become so reprogressive that a mid-west counterpart to San-Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair will become an annual event (do not click link unless you want to view grotesquely graphic gay sex which, the enlightened ones in Californication consider proper public behavior.) Which, no doubt, would make all of the Christophobes exceedingly happy. After all, in today’s world, watching men screw each other in public is far less offensive than the sight of Christians worshiping their God.

The Spirit of America Alive and Well.
Don’t believe me? Well take yourself over to the WSJ and read this article on a scheme that places highly qualified college graduates in some of the worst public schools for a two year teaching stint after a five week course instead of the years it takes to gain teaching qualifications that the education establishment insists on in typical bureaucratic know it all lordliness but which is both counter productive in attracting many who would be excellent teachers and is designed to give itself and the fat cat teachers’ unions the means of inculcating a lefty agenda and indulging in social engineering rather than ‘gasp’ teaching academic skills.
Apparently the link doesn’t work, here is the text.
Sphere: Related ContentThis month 3,700 recent college grads will begin Teach for America’s five-week boot camp before heading off for two-year stints at the nation’s worst public schools. These young men and women were chosen from almost 25,000 applicants, hailing from our most selective colleges. Eleven per sent of Yale’s senior class, 9% of Harvard’s and 10% of Georgetown’s applied for a job whose salary ranges from $25,000 [in rural South Dakota] to $44,000 [in New York City].
Hang on a second.
Unions keep saying the best people won’t go into teaching unless we pay them what doctors and lawyers and CEOs make. Not only are Teach for America salaries significantly lower than what J.P. Morgan might offer, but these individuals go to some very rough classrooms. What’s going on?
It seems that Teach for America offers smart young people something even better than money – the chance to avoid the vast education bureaucracy. Participants need only pass academic muster and attend the summer training before entering a classroom. If they took the traditional route into teachin, they would have to endure years of “education” courses to be certified.
The American Federation of Teachers commonly derides Teach for America as a “band-aid”. One of its arguments is that the program only lasts two years, barely enough time, they say, to get a handle on managing a classroom. However, it turns out that two-thirds of its grads stay in the education field, sometimes as teachers, but also as principals or policy makers.
More importantly, it doesn’t matter that they are only in the classroom a short time, at least according to a recent Urban Institute study, Here’s the gist: “On average, high school students taught by TFA corps members performed significantly better on state-required end-of-course exams, especially in student achievement in core classroom subjects was nearly three times the effect of teachers with three or more years of experience.”
Jane Hannaway, one of the study’s co-authors, says TFA participants may be more motivated than their traditional teacher peers. Second, they may receive better support during their experience. But, above all, TFA volunteers tend to have much better academic qualifications. They come from more competitive schools and they know more about the subjects they teach, Ms. Hannaway notes, “Students are better off being exposed to teachers with a high level of skill.”
The strong performance in math and science seems to confirm that the more specialized the knowledge, the more important it is that teachers be well versed in it. [Imagine that]. No amount of time in front of a classroom will make you understand advanced algebra better.
TFA was pleased, but not exactly shocked, by these results. “We have always been a data-driven organization,” says spokesman Amy Rabinowitz. We have a selection model we’ve refined over the years.” The organization figures out which teachers have been most successful in improving student performance and then seeks applicants with similar qualities. “It’s mostly a record of high academic achievement and leadership in extracurricular activities.”
Sounds like the way the private sector hires. Don’t tell the teachers unions.

Progressive Puke: You Can’t Make This Crap Up
Professor Massad… believes the Iraq war stemmed from the sexual prowess of the American male (“In such a strategy, Iraqis are posited by American super-masculine fighter-bomber pilots as women and feminised men to be penetrated by the missiles and bombs ejected from American warplanes.”); he condones terrorism against Israel (“This can be done by the continuing resistance of Palestinians in Israel and the Occupied Territories to all the civil and military institutions that uphold Jewish supremacy”); and lastly, he attempted to exile a student from his class who had the gall to disagree with him.
… In Desiring Arabs, Massad asserts that the West “produces homosexuals as well as gays and lesbians, where they do not exist.” But for colonialism, Massad contends, there would be no gay people in the Middle East for the tyrannical governments of Egypt and Iran to persecute. Although Massad says he opposes hanging gay people, he shifts the blame from the hooded executioners to the United States.

You no doubt know of Jonah Goldberg’s book Liberal Fascism, well here is Liberal Fascism at work. From an article by David Warren in The National Post.
As free speech disappears in Canada, one looks, for instance, not at the more celebrated cases of Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant, but at the much less publicized fate of Rev. Stephen Boisson, convicted by an Alberta kangaroo court (“human rights tribunal”) last November for publicly expressing the Christian and Biblical view of homosexuality, on the say-so of an anti-Christian activist from his home town.
Rev. Boisson has now been ordered to desist from communicating his views on this subject “in newspapers, by e-mail, on the radio, in public speeches, or on the Internet” so long as he should live. He has been ordered to pay compensation to Darren Lund, the anti-Christian activist in question, and further to make a public recantation of beliefs he still holds.
This all stems from the wonderful, the marvellous, walker on water Pierre Eliot Trudeau, Canada’s 1960′s Obama and his Charter of Rights and Freedoms and his Multiculturism as the cure for all social ills.
Take note, this is just a little of what is in store you in the good old US of A should Obamia Two Shoes by some quirk of mind of the mischievous gods become President. [Not gonna happen of course].
While I’m talking of the ridiculous I can’t resist this silly joke I heard today. A guy driving past an Old Folks Home sees four old ladies lying on the grass out front totally naked. Being a bit concerned for their well being he stopped, went in and sought out the Matron to tell her what he’d seen. “Oh that’s OK” she said, “They’re retired prostitutes, they’re just having a lawn sale”.
See, it goes quite well with the idea of President Hussein.

American Schools and American Traitors: Hating America on Your Dime
Source:The Aztec Al-Qaeda
One thing that drives me nuts is not having the time to focus on all of the threats coming at this country.
One area of concern I have been neglecting is illegal immigration. With both McCain and Obama more than willing to hold America down on the ground to be gang raped by the world, I wonder what the point is anymore.
Be that as it may, here are a few items that will serve to remind us all how undermined we are by American traitors and the enemies within. Especially academia.
Some may be aware that Islam has made inroads as a legitmate subject matter in our public schools. As frightening and as enraging as that is, they are not the only enemy within using our useless socialist public indoctrination school system to breed hatred and contempt for America. Those “harmless” Mexicans have managed to get their curriculum up and running in the schools down in Arizona.
Here is one teacher’s story, a teacher of Mexican descent who was derided as a vendido, or “sell out”, for objecting to the hate-America curriculum offered in Tucson Unified School District. Apparently every minority considers their saner members traitors if they defend America.
As a former teacher in Tucson Unified School District’s hotly debated ethnic studies department, I submit my perspective for the public’s consideration.
During the 2002-2003 school year, I taught a U.S. history course with a Mexican-American perspective. The course was part of the Raza/Chicano studies department.Within one week of the course beginning, I was told that I was a “teacher of record,” meaning that I was expected only to assign grades. The Raza studies department staff would teach the class.I was assigned to be a “teacher of record” because some members of the Raza studies staff lacked teaching certificates. It was a convenient way of circumventing the rules.I stated that I expected to do more than assign grades. I expected to be involved in teaching the class. The department was less than enthusiastic but agreed.Immediately it was clear that the class was not a U.S. history course, which the state of Arizona requires for graduation. The class was similar to a sociology course one expects to see at a university.Where history was missing from the course, it was filled by controversial and biased curriculum. The basic theme of the curriculum was that Mexican-Americans were and continue to be victims of a racist American society driven by the interests of middle and upper-class whites. In this narrative, whites are able to maintain their influence only if minorities are held down. Thus, social, political and economic events in America must be understood through this lens. This biased and sole paradigm justified teaching that our community police officers are an extension of the white power structure and that they are the strongmen used “to keep minorities in their ghettos.”It justified telling the class that there are fewer Mexican-Americans in Tucson Magnet High School’s advanced placement courses because their “white teachers” do not believe they are capable and do not want them to get ahead. It justified teaching that the Southwestern United States was taken from Mexicans because of the insatiable greed of the Yankee who acquired his values from the corrupted ethos of Western civilization. It was taught that the Southwest is “Atzlan,” the ancient homeland of the Aztecs, and still rightfully belongs to their descendants – to all people of indigenous Mexican heritage. As an educator, I refused to be complicit in a curriculum that engendered racial hostility, irresponsibly demeaned America’s civil institutions, undermined our public servants, discounted any virtues in Western civilization and taught disdain for American sovereignty. When I raised these concerns, I was told that I was a “racist,” despite being Hispanic. Acknowledging my heritage, the Raza studies staff also informed me that I was a vendido, the Spanish term for “sellout.”The culmination of my challenge to the department’s curriculum was my removal from that particular class. The Raza studies department and its district-level allies pressured the Tucson High administration to silence my concerns through reassignment to another class during that one period. The Raza studies department used the “racist” card, which is probably the most worn-out and desperate maneuver used to silence competing perspectives. Perhaps you, like me, have wondered how the hell it has evolved that this type of material ends up in our public school system. Well, it’s been going on for years, propagasted by the likes of Soros, the Ford Foundation, Rocekfeller and others.
WeHateGringos.com have collected some articles that paint the picture. An excerpt here:
….the dozens of scholars from campuses all over the country who met here late last month did not look like revolutionaries. But behind closed doors of the meeting rooms, the conference of “Cultural Diversity Enhancement” had the tone of one of those “by any means necessary” conventions staged by SDS in the late 60s. The subject was how to turn American higher education inside out. It was sponsored by the Ford Foundation, whose strategy for a radical transformation of the university one critic has called “the academic equivalent of an ‘ethnic cleansing.’”
In an afternoon session entitled “Restructuring the University,” spokespersons summarized the thinking of the workshops that had taken place earlier that morning. Robert Steele, a Professor of Psychology at Wesleyan, noted that his group was aware that coercion would be required to change the university: “People will not be quietly assimilated to multiculturalism by truth through dialogue.” They will have to be bought off as well as brought along. Steele described the terms of the deal: “You get research assistants, you give mentoring.” In other words, using the largesse of Ford and other philanthropic institutions, advocates of multiculturalism convince the hesitant to join up by paying for research assistants. These assistants — mentors of multiculturalism — must be women or people of color. “We will have changed the university when women and people of color can see themselves running the place,” Steele concluded.
continue reading…How the Ford Foundation Created Multiculturalism
This is only one instance, and one minority. Be it blacks, illegals, gays or muslims, the road that they travel in their mission to rip America apart has been paved by the elites.
And you and me, well, we can be damned.

Are You Scared of Flying?
I had every intention of doing a couple of posts tonight but time has run out and I have to be up early in the morning to take a load of garbage to the dump. I quite like going up there, it’s like a little world on its own separate from the every day life of the city. Strictly speaking it’s a transfer station, a huge building with scavenging seagulls flying around inside and large front end loaders filling the trucks that take it to the landfill. The smell you get used to and don’t really notice. Vehicles are weighed on the way in and out to determine the weight of the load which is charged for at $1 per 10kg. The main guy seeing you in and inspecting what you’re dumping, cardboard, drywall, paper, any metal and so on must be taken round the back and put into 40 yard bins, is a large man with a walrus moustache and is always at least grumpy if not downright miserable, well I guess it’s not the sort of career that builds self esteem so you can’t blame him and I always greet him cheerily. Hmm, could be that doesn’t help. I try to be up there at 6.30, no waiting in line then, I’m home again less than an hour after leaving here. Maybe I’ll take my camera, woohoo, can’t wait, say my readers!
And so to bed.

First, the good news:
2nd suspect in home robbery found dead
Police said they may have found the body of a suspect who tried to rob a Phoenix home earlier this week.
Travis Jarred, 35, was found dead Friday in a home near Thomas Road and 43rd Avenue. Officials said he appeared to be deceased for several days.
Unfortunately what follows – the last four grafs of this article by “Beth Duckett” – contains some of the stupidest bits of “journalism” it has ever been my displeasure to read:
Armed with a rifle and knife, the men fought with Williams and stabbed him. Williams was able to retrieve a handgun and shoot the two suspects, killing Martinez.
Jarred, apparently injured from the gunshot, fled the scene in a white sedan. Police did not say if the wound caused his death.
Williams, whose stab wounds were non-life threatening, has not been charged in the case.
Police have not determined a motive in the robbery.
Police didn’t say whether his gunshot wounds caused his death because they assumed most people would have more brains than you do, Ms. Duckett. I have no idea why you think that the victim’s stab wounds weren’t life threatening, unless you think that somehow should make him liable for the results of shooting these two thugs to death.
But that robbery motive thing. That – in terms of its stupidity – nearly rises to the level of genius. Congratulations, Beth! I think you’ve got the makings needed to become a typical liberal or left-wing journalist.
Liberals, people whose self-awareness, or even any awareness, has been smothered under a blanket of lefty and PC ideology.

The Media Quiet Again.
There was a jump in unemployment in May….
It wasn’t Bush, it wasn’t greedy corporations, or free trade, or history’s most over-predicted recession. It was not the oil companies, income inequality, or the excesses of cowboy capitalism. None of these things caused the unemployment rate to jump a half a percentage point in one month.
Ask yourself a few questions: Why did unemployment surge at a time when unemployment compensation claims are historically low? More to the point, how could unemployment spike this much without a coinciding spike in corporate lay-offs?
The answer to all of these questions is same: because very few people lost jobs last month. This huge jump in the size of the unemployed comes from new entrants to the economy – hundreds of thousands of them. In short, well over 600,000 people who were not job seekers in April became job seekers in May. And who starts looking for work at the end of Spring? That’s right – students. Hundreds of thousands of students are looking for work right now, and they’re not finding it.
Congress is to blame. Last year Congressional Democrats (along with some Stockholm-Syndromed Republicans) passed the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007, which started a phased hike of the minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $7.25. Free market economists warned them that this would increase unemployment – that rapid increases in unemployment compensation hit teens and minorities the hardest. But the class-warriors are running the people’s house now, and they would hear none of that, so they took to the floor, let loose the dogs of demagoguery, and saddled America’s pizza parlors, municipal swimming pools, house painting businesses and lawn mowing services with a huge cost increase.
Now, we see the perfectly logical outcome of wage controls – rising unemployment among the most economically vulnerable. The chart above tells the story: Friday’s unemployment spike occurred overwhelmingly among teenagers, and secondarily among African Americans. Just like we said it would. A kid who is at entry level of job skills may be a good deal at 5 bucks an hour, but not at 7. Our anointed leaders gets to glory in their generosity (with other people’s money) and just so long as very few people in the media know that a demand curve slopes downward (a good bet, there), no one calls them on it.
This summer the left will make political lemonade out of a tough student job market. Heck, it may provide a small army of angry unemployed youth to man the campaign, hungry for hope and (loose) change, never once realizing that they’re working to entrench the leftie war on business which left them jobless this summer in the first place.
Way to go you smarty pants Socialists, just keep it up, we’ll have EUtopia here in no time.

THIS IS NOW A NATIONAL EMERGENCY
Sphere: Related ContentThe issue of skyrocketing oil prices can no longer be dismissed as the natural tugging of market forces.
In the last 24 hours of the workweek ending on Friday, June 6th, flimsy speculation drove the price of a barrel of crude oil up approximately $16 a barrel, to a record high of nearly $140.
It is way past time for President Bush, and our leaders in Washington, to recognize that speculators in the world oil market have declared economic war on the United States, and take immediate action to defend this country. This is now nothing short of an economic and National Security Emergency that is a clear and present danger to the United States.
We are calling on President Bush to – without delay – declare a NATIONAL EMERGENCY and:
1: Suspend all Summer Blends of gasoline and all Federal Gas taxes.
2: Release at least 2 million barrels of oil per day from the Strategic Petroleum reserve from now until Labor day.
3: By Executive order, open ANWR and other areas currently closed to immediate oil exploration.
4: By Executive order, Construction to dramatically increase our refining capacity should start immediately.
American anger must now reach the point of rage and American inaction must cease now. We are asking you to bomb the White House with phone calls, e-mails, faxes and post cards, stressing these 4 points and do it now.

Web 2.0 for Conservatives: Part 1
When I look at the proficiency with which the Obama camp utilizes the web, I feel overwhelmed – especially given that so much is fueled by the gargantuan Soros media network, off line and on. And we conservatives, well, not so much.

I don’t begin to understand the complexity of social networking;Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn. In fact, my very nature is to be repelled by this idea of indiscriminate joining, this faux-bonding that online life is rife with. I am in Facebook, but I do not interact with anyone. I am put off at clicking a stranger’s request to befriend me. WHo the hell are you? Why should I want to know you? And it seems that most of these networking applications do not have a function that basically says “F%$*k Off. At least Facebook gives you the option to have an enemy list. If I ever actually interacted, I’m sure I’d make use of it.
ANd then there is the Digg and YouTube crowds of rabidly Ameri-phobic Gore/Obama/Ron Paul geeks that dominate those sites. They gleefully lick bloody lips daily after chewing up yet another conservative entry that offends their ever fragile sensibilities.
So OK, I’m 56. Sue me. I don’t like this online social networking. Blogging is as friendly as I get. But that is a big disadvantage to me and to conservatives who, while not being as anti-social as I, are uncomfortable with and confused by this media called Web 2.0. Cause that is what they call it.
But, glory be, there are conservative Geeks out there, of that generation, who so understand the necessity of mastering Web 2.0. And a few of those Geeks have been trying to woo the rest of us to learn enough to make our words travel a bit faster, disseminate them more widely. Because as we all know, Obama’s camp has mastered it.
So, you want your blog to count?. Patrick Ruffini wants it to as well, and even though I do not understand all that he is talking about, I know enough to recognize that he certainly knows whereof he speaks. If you take the time to write daily to your blog, you owe it to yourself to take the time to read his post. And if you are still unsure what the hell he is saying, as this commenter remarked:
How about presenting these ideas in a manner that does not rely on marketing or internet jargon? Other than some of my younger geek type friends, no one I know will understand most of what you have written here — and neither can I.
