Russia Warns Baltics, Poland To Pay For Georgia Stance-Report
Sphere: Related ContentRussia’s ambassador to Latvia Monday warned the Baltic states and Poland that they would pay for their criticism of the Kremlin over the conflict in Georgia, the Baltic news agency BNS reported.
“One must not hurry on such serious issues, as serious mistakes can be made that have to be paid for a long time afterwards,” Alexander Veshnyakov was quoted as saying by BNS.
Contacted by AFP, a spokesman for the Russian embassy in Riga confirmed the ambassador’s comments but declined to elaborate.
Veshnyakov’s remarks followed a joint statement Saturday by Latvia’s President Valdis Zatlers and his counterparts from Estonia, Lithuania and Poland which called on the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to oppose Russia’s “imperialist” policy towards Georgia.
The three Baltic states — which were part of the Soviet Union — and Poland are staunch allies of Georgia, a former Soviet republic.
Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland are now members of the E.U. and NATO.

Muslim Demographics: You Do the Math
I really loathe the term “war on terror”. Apply to that the typical western sensibilities and you have folks believing that the gravest threats from islam are wild eyed jihadists. They are actually the lesser of evils that parade about in the name of Islam. Islam itself, a theological and political system whose ultimate manifestation is theummah, is the enemy and political islam, – the soft jihad – has devastated more of the west than the media will ever acknowledge.
From The Midnight Sun….
It happened in Lebanon and it’s going to happen in a myriad of other places; the Muslims gain the numerical and then the political advantage and things start changing. Sarajevo is paying the price for the rise to power of a brutal, torturing, genocidal Muslim warlord thug.
[...]
The city has effectively been ethnically cleansed and is now 90 percent Muslim, obviously no longer friendly to non-Muslim residents. In Australia, former immigration minister, Kevin Andrews, has been roasted alive for wanting to extend a welcome to Christian Iraqi refugees. And yet, the left hegemony has no problem at all with welcoming in huge hordes of Muslim immigrants. What’s the agenda here?
Meanwhile, 30,000 Iraqis are on their way to America, a figure to reach 60,000 in the next few years. Guess where to? Michigan (should we start calling it Mecca-ghan?). How many does it take to reach critical mass? Who would like to bet they aren’t Christian refugees from persecution?

At the same post, commenter Mike W left some information that is so very startling in it’s simple conveyance of facts that I reproduce it in full here.
Islam as a System
Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.
Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called “religious rights.”
When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to “the reasonable” Muslim demands for their
“religious rights,” they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007).As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:
United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:
Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply.
France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris — car burnings, etc.). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam — Mohammed cartoons).
Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya — Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 10-15%After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%
At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:
Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:
Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:
Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%100% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam” — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:
Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 99.9%Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.
“Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel”. — Leon Uris, “The Haj”
It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

Best Obama Facts
Sphere: Related ContentThe living heroic legend that is Barack Obama has already broken the pop-culture record of Baghdad Bob and is now approaching that of Chuck Norris and Vladimir Putin.
When even Obama’s official campaign is forced to launch a fact-checking website to keep his runaway aura under control, you just know that Obama’s public persona has developed a life of its own and is resisting efforts to catch it and put it on Ritalin. We thought that the best way to take control of the situation would be by using Obama’s own patented method of hopeful approach to reality.
So we built a radically different website: it looks like Obama’s fact-checking site, only instead of chasing cowardly facts and arguing old truths that are tarnished and tedious, we invent new,sparkling-clean truths that are exciting and heroic. The beauty of this approach is that when new truths become old and tarnished, they can be easily thrown under the bus and replaced with newer and better heroic truths, ensuring Obama’s glorious march towards a higher metaphysical plane of unstoppable service to humankind.

Steve Fossett.
A report in The Daily Telegraph states that adventurer Steve Fossett may have faked his own death.
Fossett’s disappearance sparked the biggest search in American history, with the Civil Air Patrol’s Black Hawks, fitted with infra-red technology, joined by over 30 private planes and internet experts scanning the Nevada desert looking for clues.
Lt Col Ryan believes Fossett may have faked his own death due to personal problems or fears about his business dealings.
If you read the article you will probably agree that it all looks highly suspicious. The thing that gets me about people like this is, don’t they care about the enormous effort they cause to be made by other people? And the expense? I guess the taxpayer foots the bill, the poor benighted tax payer, like it’s free money to all these people. Then there is the danger to the searchers of an accident causing death or injury and more destruction of someone else’s property. Don’t they care? Doesn’t it matter that they do all that just to avoid facing up to whatever problems they have? I start to admire people who really do commit suicide to escape their problems.

The McCain Op-Ed The New York Times Wouldn’t Publish – America’s Election HQ
Sphere: Related ContentIn January 2007, when General David Petraeus took command in Iraq, he called the situation “hard” but not “hopeless.” Today, 18 months later, violence has fallen by up to 80 percent to the lowest levels in four years, and Sunni and Shiite terrorists are reeling from a string of defeats. The situation now is full of hope, but considerable hard work remains to consolidate our fragile gains.
Progress has been due primarily to an increase in the number of troops and a change in their strategy. I was an early advocate of the surge at a time when it had few supporters in Washington. Senator Barack Obama was an equally vocal opponent. “I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is going to solve the sectarian violence there,” he said on January 10, 2007. “In fact, I think it will do the reverse.”
Now Senator Obama has been forced to acknowledge that “our troops have performed brilliantly in lowering the level of violence.” But he still denies that any political progress has resulted.
Perhaps he is unaware that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has recently certified that, as one news article put it, “Iraq has met all but three of 18 original benchmarks set by Congress last year to measure security, political and economic progress.” Even more heartening has been progress that’s not measured by the benchmarks. More than 90,000 Iraqis, many of them Sunnis who once fought against the government, have signed up as Sons of Iraq to fight against the terrorists. Nor do they measure Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki’s new-found willingness to crack down on Shiite extremists in Basra and Sadr City — actions that have done much to dispel suspicions of sectarianism.
The success of the surge has not changed Senator Obama’s determination to pull out all of our combat troops. All that has changed is his rationale. In a New York Times op-ed and a speech this week, he offered his “plan for Iraq” in advance of his first “fact finding” trip to that country in more than three years. It consisted of the same old proposal to pull all of our troops out within 16 months. In 2007 he wanted to withdraw because he thought the war was lost. If we had taken his advice, it would have been. Now he wants to withdraw because he thinks Iraqis no longer need our assistance.
To make this point, he mangles the evidence. He makes it sound as if Prime Minister Maliki has endorsed the Obama timetable, when all he has said is that he would like a plan for the eventual withdrawal of U.S. troops at some unspecified point in the future.
Senator Obama is also misleading on the Iraqi military’s readiness. The Iraqi Army will be equipped and trained by the middle of next year, but this does not, as Senator Obama suggests, mean that they will then be ready to secure their country without a good deal of help. The Iraqi Air Force, for one, still lags behind, and no modern army can operate without air cover. The Iraqis are also still learning how to conduct planning, logistics, command and control, communications, and other complicated functions needed to support frontline troops.
No one favors a permanent U.S. presence, as Senator Obama charges. A partial withdrawal has already occurred with the departure of five “surge” brigades, and more withdrawals can take place as the security situation improves. As we draw down in Iraq, we can beef up our presence on other battlefields, such as Afghanistan, without fear of leaving a failed state behind. I have said that I expect to welcome home most of our troops from Iraq by the end of my first term in office, in 2013.
But I have also said that any draw-downs must be based on a realistic assessment of conditions on the ground, not on an artificial timetable crafted for domestic political reasons. This is the crux of my disagreement with Senator Obama.
Senator Obama has said that he would consult our commanders on the ground and Iraqi leaders, but he did no such thing before releasing his “plan for Iraq.” Perhaps that’s because he doesn’t want to hear what they have to say. During the course of eight visits to Iraq, I have heard many times from our troops what Major General Jeffrey Hammond, commander of coalition forces in Baghdad, recently said: that leaving based on a timetable would be “very dangerous.”
The danger is that extremists supported by Al Qaeda and Iran could stage a comeback, as they have in the past when we’ve had too few troops in Iraq. Senator Obama seems to have learned nothing from recent history. I find it ironic that he is emulating the worst mistake of the Bush administration by waving the “Mission Accomplished” banner prematurely.
I am also dismayed that he never talks about winning the war — only of ending it. But if we don’t win the war, our enemies will. A triumph for the terrorists would be a disaster for us. That is something I will not allow to happen as president. Instead I will continue implementing a proven counterinsurgency strategy not only in Iraq but also in Afghanistan with the goal of creating stable, secure, self-sustaining democratic allies.

The Prisoner Exchange.
I find I can’t criticise Israel for freeing a child murderer and others in exchange for the bodies of the two soldiers captured south of Lebanon. They have their reasons for doing so, of which giving their soldiers the knowledge that they would not be abandoned even in death is maybe the deepest and most human of them. But it bothers me for the message it sends to their enemies, that they can bargain for the release of the most heinous of the terrorists even with captives no longer alive. It gives them a great incentive to kidnap more Israelis, not necessarily military personnel, and they have no need to even bother keeping them alive. These consequences one might think would outweigh the deep emotional need to look after their own and so I admire immensely that in spite of that they do what they think they ought.
Jeff Emanuel takes a more serious look at the problem of releasing prisoners like these and the Gitmo inmates, taking in as he does how the NYT has been getting it wrong for ever.

Good on Oklahoma

State Rep. Charles Key of Oklahoma is attempting to do what I hope all states will pursue. They are reminding the federal government that it’s power is limited
Sphere: Related Content“Whereas, the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads as follows: ‘The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.’; and Whereas, the Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of federal power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the United States and no more; and whereas, the scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and Whereas, today, in 2008, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government. … Now, therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the 2nd session of the 51st Oklahoma Legislature: that the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. That this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.”
[...]
State efforts, such as Oklahoma’s, create a glimmer of hope that one day Americans and their elected representatives will realize that the federal government is the creation of the states. A bit of rebellion by officials in other states will speed that process along.

Why We Left Islam: Former Muslims Speak Out
A book worthy of your attention.
Sphere: Related ContentIt’s a funny thing. When one makes the seemingly straightforward observation that the vast, vast majority of terrorist attacks in the world are perpetrated by Muslims, one is told that one is tiptoeing close to the dreaded “Islamaphobia” line, and that more education about Islam is needed to rectify this backwards view of one of the world’s great religions.
Then, something even funnier happens. The more one learns about Islam, the MORE accurate the initial impression becomes. This book, a candid discussion of a religious third rail that most Westerners simply refuse to acknowledge, let along confront, throws into stark relief the burdens and perils of both living under Islam, and having the temerity to dare leave it. One finally sees through the veneer of Westernized language to discover that Islam does indeed offer freedom of religion: you can choose Islam, or you can choose death. Islam truly is a religion of peace – so long as the death of “innocents” is narrowly defined to protect only fellow Muslims and the mere fact of being a kaffir is grounds for summary execution. The list goes on and on.
The 23 accounts in here provide gripping, factual representations of just what it is actual Islam holds for those it engulfs. The fact that it is controversial that this book “dares” even print a picture of Muhammed shows you the depths to which truly free speech has sunk even in our nation (it’s also telling that some of Amazon’s ‘tag suggestions’ for this book include ‘sad, bias, drivel, polemic’ and ‘anti-islam’). Understand the “logic” here: this is a truthful book about people’s experiences trying to leave Islam, and that alone is considered “anti-Islam”. I encourage everyone to read this book to truly educate themselves as to what Islam has in store for all of us.

Bloggers with Focus on Kosovo/Balkans, Soros, Free Speech
Well, here is an experiment. There are so many topics that I wish I could cover in this blog that just never make it to a post. I especially wish I could dig deeper and write more about the Balkans, Kosovo in particular. Soros could fill several books. I have been fooling myself to imagine that I could tackle any of these subjects with any type of depth and still keep up daily here. It’s one thing to throw up small posts, it’s another thing to dissect an issue thoroughly and offer any cogent argument for or against, with requisite documentation to support the conclusions reached. I have no illusion that my words carry weight in and of themselves.
So the experiment is to solicit writers/bloggers who may have a particular interest in the following:
- Soros
- Kosovo/Serbia/The Balkans
- Free Speech Issues
I am more than willing to share the links and research I have gathering dust in Diigo. I don’t fool myself in thinking I can do any damage to Soros. By the same token, it can’t hurt to describe his multifarious reach throughout the globe. People are usually stunned when made aware of his agenda and how thoroughly it is being implemented.
I also really doubt the accounts of Kosov, Serbia fed to us by mainstream. Nor do we have a full account of the growing muslim presence in the Balkans and America’s damnably unfortunate role in facilitating it.
The importance of covering the encroaching restrictions on speech go without saying. I fear that too many are asleep on this issue as well. So, the more info out there, the better.
Lig and I would appreciate any serious interest. Email either one of us ( see right sidebar) or leave a comment. Sad to say, I can’t pay. And I would add that some may hesitate because of the acerbic and combative tone I tend to maintain in here. (Ligneus is far more gracious) I am willing to discuss ameliorating that a bit. Other details can be discussed via email or Skype.

(H/T: Gateway Pundit) Isn’t it interesting how many criminals Obama is friends with? Yeah, that’s a real change for America.
And, as usual, America’s cowards peace freaks want to deny our soldiers an effective weapon. The Active Denial System inflicts pain instead of death, but, leave it to reprogressives to prefer dead American soldiers to enemies in pain.
And now for one of the most inane, nauseating statement to be uttered by a leader of a free nation that I have yet heard ( besides Bush’s “Islam is a religion of peace“), I bring you French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s pap at the summit of the Union for the Mediterranean.
“The purpose of the summit of the Union for the Mediterranean is that in the Mediterranean, around the Mediterranean, we learn to love each other rather than hate each other and make wars,” Sarkozy told reporters after a meeting with Abbas and Olmert. (…)
Oh yeah, make love not war. Can someone inform the fool that the sixties are over….

The “Patriotic” Left: Wolves in Sheeps Clothing
One reason that I find the left to be contemptible is that they so often don the costumes of sheep while ravishing their unsuspecting prey like the wolves that they truly are. They’ll curse America in their heart while assuming the veneer of patriotism in order to further their efforts to destroy her.

Given the propensity of leftists to appropriate the symbols, language and causes of the right, I have learned to investigate any group wearing the “red white and blue” on their sleeves and I find that all too frequently a quick google of their board of directors or staff will reveal another anti-American organization with a roster full of leftists.
Take for instance a site calling itself “In Their Boots”.
IN THEIR BOOTS is a compelling new magazine show about the dramatic impact the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are having on us – the people here at home. The show will feature our Iraq and Afghanistan service men and women, and their families, in stories that have universal appeal.
Funded by a grant from the Iraq Afghanistan Deployment Impact fund (IADIF) and produced by Brave New Foundation, IN THEIR BOOTS will be streamed exclusively online.
In Their Boots will be hosted by Jan Bender, a veteran of the war in Iraq who served as a rifleman/combat correspondent in Iraq with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines from 2004 to 2005.
Every week a live episode will be built around a dramatic and emotional IN THEIR BOOTS “Real Story,” a non-fiction narrative about how our service people, their families, and their communities have been profoundly changed by the nation’s campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then, in a live forum, Jan Bender, our host, will interview the participants and lead a discussion that includes experts, service-providers and individual viewers in an interactive discussion of the issues raised.
Well, the first red flag is that a diarist at Daily Kos promotes it favorably. The rest of the clues are found on Brave New World’s “About” page.
Starting with the president of the organization, Robert Greenwald, co-founder of ‘Artists United to Win Without War’, and going on down the line-up, you find a host of left wing activists who have actively sought to undermine the very war that these Vets – whom they purport to give a damn about – sacrificed so much for.
Film director and producer Robert Greenwald is the co-founder along with actor
Mike Farrell, of Artists United to Win Without War (AUWWW),a political activist group formed by hundreds of Hollywood actors, directors, and industry personnel who oppose the Bush Administration’s war and liberation efforts in Iraq. Citing the “flawed case for war in Iraq,” this group calls for an investigation into claims that weapons of mass destruction were being manufactured in Iraq. AUWWW is associated with MoveOn.org, an online political activist group that has generated hundreds of millions of dollars for left wing political campaigns… (Source)
Regardless what this government is failing to provide our returning troops, to be embraced by a cadre of hypocrites like these is a deep insult to the men and women who fought. It is rather like a rapist deigning to offer comfort and care to the woman he raped.
Their list of partners include ACORN, Code Pink and CAIR. Moving on to their Board we find Katrina Vanden Heuvel, editor of the Nation and author of “Taking Back America: And Taking Down the Radical Right” . Then there is Dolores Huerta, co-founder with Cezar Chavez of the United Farm Workers of America.
Need I say more? Like vultures, the left sweeps down on any group of people that they can use in their never ending quest for victims. I find it reprehensible that they are plucking their carrion meat from the bodies of our wounded troops.

Population Control and a World Food Authority
Part 1 of this series gives an overview of the proposed new international order described by the RIO report as “humanistic socialism”. This includes: collective neighbourhood armies, a fully planned world economy, global free trade, public international enterprises, proposed changes in consumption patterns among other topics. Changes to the financial system including international taxation and the creation of a World Treasury, World Central Bank and World Currency are examined in part 2. Part 3 addresses the redefinition of sovereignty from “territorial sovereignty” to “functional sovereignty” as well as the use of the concept of the “common heritage of mankind” to gain international control of not just the oceans, atmosphere and outer space but also all material and non-material resources. Part 4 discusses the generation of public opinion and the use of white coated propagandists.
H/T:
Cars in California Must Display Global Warming Score
California is making it mandatory for cars to be labeled with global warming scores, figures that take into account emissions from vehicle use and fuel production.
The law requiring the labels goes into effect at the start of next year for all 2009 model cars, though its expected the labels will be popping up on cars in the coming months.
The labeling law forces cars for sale to display a global warming score, on a scale of one to 10, which is based on how vehicles in the same model year compare to one another. The higher the score, the cleaner a car is. The score takes into account emissions related to production of fuel for each vehicle as well as the direct emissions from vehicles.
BRITISH GOVERNMENT BODY: RACIST BABIES AND TODDLERS MUST BE PUNISHED
So, here’s the scenario. You send your child to school or preschool and your child says ‘yuk’ to a curry or looks askance at someone. The nursery director, afraid of being labeled racist, reports you and the next thing you know, your child is forced to appear in court.
Smacking bans, forced sex education, the stress of worrying about your child setting a foot out of place, of upsetting people like nursery directors and child welfare services…How much are you going to take before you snap and want to fight back? How much before people take to the streets rioting and end up being rounded up and slammed into the jails and their children seized by the State?
I BELIEVE THEY WANT TO DRAW OUT THE FIGHTING INSTINCTS OF ANY DISSENTERS SO THEY CAN BE CRUSHED, PILLORIED IN THE MEDIA AND MADE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF BY DRACONIAN PUNISHMENTS.
This is the future shaping up in the U.K. The problem for the rest of us is, will the U.K. then be held up as the model on racism control at the next G8 summit with other leaders being goaded into ‘following their example’ no matter how unpopular they might be with their people?

BESIEGED IN BROOKLYN
When I climbed up the grimy station stairs and surveyed the street, I suspected that some supernatural time-and-space warp had transported me to Islamabad. This couldn’t be Brooklyn.
Women strode attired in hijabs and male passersby sported all manner of Muslim headgear and long flowing tunics. Kathy met me at the train and astounded me by pointing out long kurta shirts as distinguished from a salwar kameez. She couldn’t help becoming an expert. She’s now a member of a fast-dwindling minority because “people are running away. We’re among the last holdouts of our generation. My kids have fled.”
Pakistani and Bangladeshi groceries lined the main shopping drag, and everywhere stickers boldly beckoned: “Discover Jesus in the Koran.” An unremarkable low-slung building on the corner of Kathy’s block was now dominated by an oversized green sign identifying it as Masjid Nur al-Islam (the Light of Islam Mosque) and announcing that “only Allah is worthy of worship and Muhammad is his LAST prophet.” Here too Christians were urged to “turn to the Koran” if they were “genuinely faithful to Jesus.”
It wasn’t hard to identify the remaining non-Muslim residences. Kathy’s was typical. A huge American flag fluttered demonstratively in the manicured front yard, accompanied by a large cross on the door and an assortment of patriotic/jingoistic banners.
What we should be fighting for this July 4
Sphere: Related Content1. Freedom of religion
What we must defend:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” — First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
What we must defend it against:
“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” — CAIR co-founder and longtime Board Chairman Omar Ahmad (he denies saying it, but the original reporter stands by her story)
“I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.” — CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper
The Muslim Brotherhood “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” — Mohamed Akram, “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America,” May 22, 1991
