Like Zee in her post below, I have been somewhat mortified that the good old US of A could elect a beginner for President in these complicated times, but there you go, what’s done is done, we have to wait and see how badly the neophyte screws up before being thrown out in 2012. [You'd think I'd be a little circumspect in my predictions, well in the words of the prophet, No Way!] He’s made a good start on the screwing up if reports of Hill as Sec of State and Eric Holder of Marc Rich pardon fame as Attorney General turn out to be true. Goes right along with Wright, Ayers, Rezko and co. The leopard’s spots remain the same.
The media has a lot to answer for in Obama’s victory, what a job they did on Sarah Palin that when given one of O’s or Bidens idiot statements to attribute, they automatically think it must have been her. I hope they get their just reward and I note that the NYT is trading today at $7.08, down from $18.66 one year ago. There is a God.

I have other reasons for not posting much, seven day work week, daughter and grandchildren and all the other everyday activities that take up time. I have played a trick on myself, kept my clocks on summer time, gets me up early in the morning and to bed earlier than would otherwise be the case at night. It’s cool too, I feel like I’m in my own little time/space one hour separated from the rest of the world. it’s restful and liberating at the same time. Am I making too much of it? Well so be it. I like it.

One more reason, it’s November and winter is coming on……

He is convinced justice in America needs to be “established” rather than enforced; he’s excited about hate crimes and enthusiastic about the constitutionally dubious Violence Against Women Act; he’s a supporter of affirmative action and a practitioner of the statistical voodoo that makes it possible to burden police departments with accusations of racial profiling and the states with charges of racially skewed death-penalty enforcement; he’s more likely to be animated by a touchy-feely Reno-esque agenda than traditional enforcement against crimes; he’s in favor of ending the detentions of enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay and favors income redistribution to address the supposed root causes of crime.

In any other time, Holder would simply be an uninspired choice. But these are not ordinary times — we face a serious, persistent threat from Islamist terrorists. At the same time, Democrats have expressed outrage over both the alleged politicization of the Justice Department and the reckless disregard of its storied traditions. For these times, it is difficult to imagine a worse choice for AG than Eric Holder.

Much has been made, and appropriately so, of Holder’s untoward performance in the final corrupt act of the Clinton administration: the pardons issued in the departing president’s final hours. Of these, most notorious is the case of Marc Rich, an unrepentant fugitive wanted on extensive fraud, racketeering, and trading-with-the-enemy charges — but granted a pardon nonetheless thanks to the intercession of his ex-wife, a generous donor to Clinton’s library and legal-defense fund.

I wonder how many who voted for Obama knew this is what they’d get.

Alright, I have to do something here. I have been circling my blog like a wary animal circling a fire for a few days now. I haven’t responded to comments - and I will, my apologies - haven’t done much other than listlessly peruse a file of posts that have been lingering in various stages of composition. I will get back in the saddle here tomorrow, just going thru some post election blog lethargy.

But, this video is interesting. It won’t surprise you, but will surely amaze and dismay you. It wasn’t an election. It was a freaking American Idol contest. The Obama voter is the new stupid.

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama’s limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple… the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

Always on Watch has over an hour of conversation with Robert Spencer. If you have only heard Spencer via 5 minutes on Fox, I strongly recommend that you hear him uninterrupted by commercials, or Bill O’Reilly. Rich with facts and exegesis, painful to listen to, compounded as it is with the knowledge that America is now in the hands of those who agree more with Islamists than they do with Americans.

For those who may not know, Robert Spencer’s work can be found on his blog Jihad Watch.

Always on Watch (blogging at The Gathering Storm) is always able to secure excellent guests. It amazes me sometimes what “folks” can do. I just heard someone refer to it as “MainSt. Media”. Sounds good. Since the anarchists, rebels and dirty old hippies have managed to go turn themselves into the “Establishment”, maybe they can remove their sorry asses from the streets. The streets belong to our side now.

The damnable thing is, the hippies and leftists of the sixties ranted against an imaginary oppression. They now come swaggering through the doors of power bearing with them the very oppression which they had proclaimed America was guilty of exercising. Obviously, given their ascent to power, their infiltration of education, their dominance in culture, that they were not then, nor since, oppressed.

That have become that ogre of fascism that they have always feared.
Obama and his possee have already demonstrated their willingness to suppress speech. If you want to do anything, fight for the right of “MainSt.” broadcasters like “Always on Watch” to retain the right to broadcast. Support their efforts and the hundreds of other worthy media outlets that are aligning themselves for the fight ahead.

Speaking of censorship, another worthy recipient of our support is ‘No Compromise’ - just recently “permitted” to resume broadcasting again. You’ll find them talking about it here, and their site here.

Just as well that I haven’t had the time or energy to post much lately. This guy says it all just fine. I excerpt a post that I’d suggest that you click here ,or on the title, to read in full.

Some people scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe–and why I believe it.

That he would not take private funding for his campaign. He ended up doing just that, and shunning the public money, which is why he may escape a campaign finance audit.

Adding insult to injury for Republicans: The FEC is obligated to complete a rigorous audit of McCain’s campaign coffers, which will take months, if not years, and cost McCain millions of dollars to defend.

I was going to do a post on all the ways that the entrepreneur will be skewered by the Obamination, but I have to get to a meeting online for my job, a job that will certainly disappear soon, given that you need a healthy mortgage market to employ lackeys like me. You know, some of the wealth that used to dribble down to folks like me who provide needed services to those oh-so-nasty mortgage brokers.

But given that they are prepared to eliminate the mortgage industry, my position will go down the obama tubes too.

Senior Yemeni Al-Qaeda: New Attack Planned Against US

Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will “outdo by far” September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a “positive phase”, reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next “wave of action” against the West.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi — and widely reported in the major Italian papers — quotes a person described as being “very close to al-Qaeda” in Yemen.

The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to “change the face of world politics and economics”. The operative is quoted as saying that “this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia”.

The ex-operative says he remains in contact with current chiefs of the organisation in Yemen and that only six months ago bin Laden had sent a message to all jihad cells in the Arab world which asked them not to interact with their governments or local political parties and to deny any request for mediation or formal talks.

The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organisation may send a sign of its violent intentions.

A few things in the statement make sense 1) the end of the truce (”the period of calmness”) in Yemen came as a result of an order from bin Laden, not because of agitation from returnees from Iraq, 2) the continuing importance of the original trusted network of Yemenis, 3) bin Laden’s ability to communicate with people in Yemen.

Here It Comes: Obama To Use Executive Orders For Immediate Impact

WASHINGTON - President-elect Obama plans to use his executive powers to make an immediate impact when he takes office, perhaps reversing Bush administration policies on stem cell research and domestic drilling for oil and natural gas.

John Podesta, Obama’s transition chief, said Sunday Obama is reviewing President Bush’s executive orders on those issues and others as he works to undo policies enacted during eight years of Republican rule. He said the president can use such orders to move quickly on his own.

“There’s a lot that the president can do using his executive authority without waiting for congressional action, and I think we’ll see the president do that,” Podesta said. “I think that he feels like he has a real mandate for change. We need to get off the course that the Bush administration has set.”

Podesta also said Obama is working to build a diverse Cabinet. That includes reaching out to Republicans and independents - part of the broad coalition that supported Obama during the race against Republican John McCain. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has been mentioned as a possible holdover.

Obama’s Constellation of Supporters are Not Working for America

Just doing some desultory reading, following up on a google alert I have for Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings. Before the advent of obamassiah, I concentrated most of my attention on the other enemy within - Islam. I wonder how long it will be before the obama nazis make it illegal to refer to muslims as the enemy within. Judging by the constellation of muslim sympathizers and infidel traitors now forming around Obama it won’t be long. Elijah Cummings is just one dark star composing that constellation and his prior support for CAIR is what originally brought him to my attention.

The other names in that CAIR press release, along with those shown below are points in the same converging constellation and how they intersect and who actually navigates within Obama’s inner circle ought to be instructive. Trust me, there will be none in that inner circle who will name islam as the enemy.

Enemy Within

Had I kept up with Elijah Cummings activities I’d have found out he was Obama’s man in Maryland.

Elijah Cummings made an Obama bet, too.

Twenty months ago, he said yes when Obama called, asking if Cummings would head his campaign in the state. And when Obama won the presidency, the congressman from West Baltimore won big, too.

Elijah E. Cummings is now the man to see if you want something from the incoming administration.

“People want to be on the transition team, and they want jobs,” he said. “They see me as a link to those opportunities.”

There are a few interesting things to note about this, otherwise, innocuous article. Not one word is about America, about policy, about, well, the nation’s business. The entire article focuses on a political gamble that will pay off for this opportunistic hustler. You can easily imagine Cummings salivating over his expanded political horizons…“He’s happy to drop references to conversations with “Barack”

His emergence as a Maryland go-to guy for the president-elect is politics at its most elemental: What Cummings did for Obama has made him an obvious conduit.

So, if Cummings is the “obvious conduit” to Obama, it would be interesting to see which islamists and dhimmis will be going thru his door seeking a closer position to Obama. Love to see his email, but, unfortunately, the right doesn’t seem to have any juvenile hackers to pry open his email accounts like they did to Palin.

Over the past two years, he traveled to Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West Virginia, Arkansas, Virginia and Florida to campaign for Obama. He spent last weekend, two days before his own re-election (he won with almost 80 percent of the vote), spreading the Obama gospel at black churches in Toledo, Ohio.

It would also be interesting to have a list of the “black churches” where he spread the “obama gospel”. I think you would find that many of their pulpits are being pounded by clones of Rev. Wright. And to think I used to love to listen to black gospel singers, used to find comfort in knowing that so many black Americans held fast to the Christian faith. Now I have to look at each black church with suspicion, wondering if they espouse Christian theology or “liberation” theology glazed with a Christian veneer.

Another interesting point made in the article echoes the warning I gave in a post about the continued presence of Obama’s internet cockroaches, the Obamabots. That obama made a point of referring to his legions of internet nazis to Cummings serves to indicate the degree of enthusiasm that this strategy evokes.

He said he believes Obama will use his revolutionary campaign organization to help him govern.

“I remember one time he told me, he says, ‘Elijah, the technology is so important, because I can [even] reach people on the beach. Instantly,’” Cummings said. “If he’s got a problem with the Congress, and the Congress seems reluctant to carry through the agenda that he has put forth, he’s going to text message [supporters] and say, ‘Look, call your congressman. Tell him we need your help.’”

This technolgy, these people, are not working for America. I think this statement by Cummings is quite telling and likely descriptive of most of Obama’s support.

“I believe that I was placed here, to be here at this moment in history, to help him [Obama] accomplish what he needs to accomplish,” said Cummings. “That’s what my goal is now.”

And as most of us well know, Obama’s goals will take us all to hell.
