Russia’s grip on the fractious, largely Muslim republics on its southwestern edge grows more precarious as fallout from the Chechnya war spreads. Bombings, kidnappings, and revenge killings by both sides are destabilizing the region. Russian leaders blame global Islamic terrorism, but most observers cite nationalism and ethnic rivalries…

Nationalism. Ethnic rivalries. I admit to being fuzzy on the real story of Chechnya, Bosnia or the “former Yugoslavia”. I certainly am not going to accept the PC riddled versions that the MSM offers up, wherein all news is reduced to “The West = Bad, Islam =Good”, or “AmeriKKa Sucks, Jews Suck - Everyone Else is Innocent”. I’ve witnessed the MSM’s faux photography and the continuous dissemination of seditious lies and half truths proffered by CNN, and BBC, the AP, and the New York Slimes. How can I trust anything from any of these so-called news organizations when none of them even have the damn nerve to name the enemy. They are far more practiced at kneeling before their Islamic masters instead of exposing them, dropping to their knees as readily as any seasoned whore kneels before her latest trick.

So I’ve just begun researching Chechnya and Bosnia, Russia, trying to find factual accounts, ones written without a politically correct lens focused on the events - a lens that somehow turns words like nationalism and ethnicity into pejoratives.

In America that tendency shows up when patriots are referred to as nativists and those who esteem America and the “West” are cast as nefarious white supremacists. In Europe, charges of nationalism and nazism and other various ‘isms prevail.

I wonder what their take would be on the “Declaration of the Caucasian Emirate“, (excerpted below) recently issued by Islamist terrorist Dokka Umarov , who, by the way, describes Islamic hatred for the “swinish” Russian Kafir as going back for generations; “Our glorious ancestors were waging Jihad against these enemies…”

This “declaration” demonstrates that this engagement goes far beyond the realm of “ethnic rivalry”. Just like LaRaza’s declared intent to reclaim the American Southwest goes far beyond a mere immigration issue. In both cases, war has been declared.

As the Russian kafirs fight for whatever remains of their national identity, their Islamist foes will call them swine and the nations that helped create this hell will call them nationalists and and elitist Western progressives will dismiss them as xenophobic racists. Dokka Umarov has demanded their submission.

I appeal to the Mujahideen who are fighting in the Caucasus and the oppressed Muslims of Idel-Ural, Siberia and other parts of the occupied Rusnya (Russia).
I would like to remind the fact that many Muslims are inclined to forget: Russian kafirs (infidels) have occupied our land and swinish life is being imposed on us for a long period of time. This is a punishment of Allah because we have moved away from his right path, because nothing could happen in the world without the will of Allah, praise to Him the Almighty.
Only imagine, how Allah is incensed at us, taking into consideration the fact that he’s send this nation on us. The nation, which is considered to be the most contemptible and the poorest among the kafirs.
Our glorious ancestors were waging Jihad against these enemies, and today Allah is testing out generation, as he tested our fathers. Everything is repeating. The Jihad reveals faith and disbelief. Today, as in earlier times, people are divided on Mujahideen, hypocrites, and apostates.

As soon as my archives are restored I hope to review a few posts that I wrote about George Soros. You could call them my "Armchair Redneck" observations regarding a man whose persona, for some reason, always brings to mind the gelatinous image of Jabba the Hutt. Be that as it may,  I have always watched him with the type of perverse fascination usually reserved for circus freaks. There seem to be very few countries who have escaped his many faceted machinations. But the following news report is intriguing and I would welcome educated guesses as to what such a meeting might have covered….

One of the men is the Bush administration’s most bitter foe, who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to prevent the president’s election and who still supports strident anti-Bush organizations like Moveon.org.

The other is the president’s handpicked envoy to the United Nations, one of the Bush administration’s most sensitive posts.

On the surface, they were not likely to have much to talk about.

So what were billionaire George Soros and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Zalmay Khalilzad discussing Tuesday when they met for a secret lunch at a luxurious but discreet restaurant close to the United Nations?

Nobody but the two men knows.

They met together for roughly 90 minutes after arriving at the restaurant separately, Khalilzad with a Secret Service escort.

They also left separately, several minutes apart: Khalilzad in his official black Cadillac, Soros in a flashier red Mercedes-Benz.

Maybe it was the spirit of the Annapolis peace conference that drew the men together.

Or perhaps the media attention on Annapolis was one reason they hoped their lunch would go unnoticed.

An Interview with Zalmay Khalilzad

A school teacher in the Sudan by the name of Gibbons might have to endure forty lashes for the mere sin of naming a Teddy bear Mohammad. As usual, Muslims claim to be insulted, but, unlike Christians, they demand that a price be paid. This is one headline that you will never read in America.

Rosie O’Donnell… was also charged with inciting hatred and showing contempt for religious beliefs… If convicted, she could face 40 lashes, a fine, or one year in jail.

You could substitute any one of hundreds of names for O’Donnell’s. There are countless "stars" and "artists" who manage to  find reserves of courage when it comes to maligning Christians.  They are all too aware that they will suffer nothing as consequence for their irreverence.

But , Christianity’s critics are contemptuous for all the wrong reasons. If Christians were even  one third as dogmatic as Miss O’Donnell and her peers assert, there might be hope that they’d muster up some type of defense against their enemies. If, indeed, Christians exercised the same religious zeal as do Muslims, Miss O’Donnell would be back in the closet and buried under a burqua somewhere.

Alas, today’s dreaded Christians seem to be unable to even locate an enemy, let alone possess the foresight and strength to engage in battle. The fulminating  fundamentalists  that  Miss O’Donnell imagines to be such malignant threats are far  too busy spreading turning their "other" cheeks to Muslims in their  latest display of dhimmitude dementia; the nauseous letter of apology by abject Christians that rivals even Bush’s Muslim pandering. But I digress. …

It just boggles my mind that the left is so willingly blind to the dangers of Islam when evidence can be found daily in news reports across the globe. This teddy bear brouhaha is just one of thousands of similar incidents that occur anywhere that Muslims are in sufficient number to combine their collective umbrage and wail.

Gibbons was arrested after some parents complained about the bear being named after the Prophet Mohammad.

"If the teacher apologised to the Sudanese people and to all Muslims because she insulted the Prophet Mohammad then this is enough to end the matter," he said.

I can’t imagine what would happen if a urine soaked koran were put on display.   But nations  will continue to allow this damn caterwauling from offended Muslims to hold sway over media and governments, and Christians will continue to remain the temperature that qualifies them to be spit out of their Savior’s mouth and the Rosie O’Donnells of the world will keep shadow boxing with imaginary enemies, too lost in denial to see  the descending  whip.

I fear the day will too soon arrive when Keith Ellison (the Muslim Trojan horse currently posing serving as a congressman from the lamentable state of Minnesota) feels sufficiently confident that this nation is so subsumed by dhimmitude that he will feel free to express himself as candidly as Raleb Majadle, the first Arab minister in Israel.

This is the true belief of every silver tongued Islamic politician who uses the democratic process to subvert the nation that they falsely swear to support. Keith Ellison has no allegiance to this nation. He, like Majadle, “will know what to choose“, and it will not be America.

Ellison’s oath of office is as good as the Koran it was sworn on, and far as I have observed, the Koran serves best as toilet paper and Congressman Keith Ellison serves only the umma.

Collectivism, Cultural Marxism, Transnational Progressivism, Post-Modernism, Environmentalism are welcomed much more warmly in one party than in the other. The same can be said for Patriotism, Constitutionalism, Federalism and Capitalism. One party has many members who believe that OUR country is a force for good in the world, and is worth defending, and honors our defenders. One party has many members who believe that OUR country is the focus of evil in the modern world, that we deserve it when OUR cities are attacked and OUR countrymen are killed, and support our troops when they shoot their officers.

Well, I have about had it with this elitist guilt complex that demands that America be reduced to some third world country in atonement for her human and material riches. They denigrate preachers for imputing guilt to homosexuals, adulterers and murderers.They so disdain the suggestion of guilt that they are, again, resorting to censorship by attempting to have the Bible designated as “hate speech”. Yet, they continue to attempt to impose their freaking suicidal martyr complex on simple old me and I’m just having none of it. I don’t care if their arguments are gilded with PHD’s and a freaking Nobel prize. Like they say, you can put lipstick on a pig but damn little good that will do ya - it’s still a freaking pig. And that is all the elitists on the left remind me of - a damn herd of lipsticked pigs. ( hey- they think rubes like me ought to be sterilized. The appellation of pigs to social engineering elites is me being tactful)

Why do those on the left so willingly self-flagellate under the mantle of ” guilt” yet bristle when accused of specific immoral acts? Excuse my non-nuanced take on the world, but it seems to me, for guilt to be operative, it must exist in the context of some moral code. Yet the left rejects “morals”. Well, more accurately, morals are a fashion accessory, accoutrements, subject to change per the dictates of the reigning intellectual fashionistas or political expediency.

Well, my moral wardrobe consists of tried and true classics and yes, “Patriotism, Constitutionalism, Federalism and Capitalism” are the designer labels that have consistently served me well, in any season.

I’m with the blogger quoted above when he declares the following.

I’m a Conservative. Always have been. I consider myself Patriotic. I believe in American Exceptionalism. I think Political Correctness/Cultural Marxism and White Liberal Guilt and Postmodernism and Transnational Progressivism and Anthropomorphic Global Warming are all bullshit. That makes me an enemy of the Left. I am really not a Bushie, nor am I an enthusiastic Republican, and I don’t really buy the Right Wing - Left Wing political spectrum, but I will not accept defeat in the Global War On Terror, and anybody who will is walking on the fighting side of me.

Personally, I see no appeal in returning to the primitive lifestyles that the global warming zealots seem to be so enamored of. The green-weenies, as I refer to them, never seem to touch on even the most practical implications and repercussions from their insane proposals. How, indeed, does commerce thrive if it is slowed down to a crawl? Or a trot, by France’s measures.

All I can say is that the new gods of secularism are far more draconian than their arch enemy, the Christian god. Having dominion over the earth and being good stewards doesn’t translate into a recommendation for living in the squalor that would result should these earth zealots have their atavistic way. Why the hell can’t we read headlines about the latest advances in colonizing the moon? Instead the hypnotized acolytes of Gore-ism, who have the audacity to classify themselves as some sort of “progressives”, herald the return of the horse. At least such nonsense has yet to be announced in America, but no doubt it will be.

Letters to the editors. At one time a letter to the editor was one of the few ways an average citizen could hope to voice their opinion. Of course now the same citizen can start a blog. But newspapers do remain, circulation somehow keeps them afloat, and now, all of us can read what one woman in Maryland, in a letter to the editor, thinks of sanctuary cities.

Yes indeed, millions might read it, but my guess is that those she wants to read it have stopped caring what their constituents think a long time ago. In city after city, state after state, citizens are ignored and quite frankly, I’m thinking everyone is getting a tad ticked off, to put it mildly.

It is time now to address our issues of being a ‘‘sanctuary city.” Who decides this? I don’t recall seeing a referendum on a ballot or anything else. It makes my blood boil every time I see Lou Dobbs (CNN) put the map up regarding cities that give sanctuary and licenses to illegal immigrants. Now the nonprofit organizations are moving out of the district into Maryland (we have more tax dollars here) to provide more services to, you guessed it, illegal immigrants.

Wake up [Prince George’s] and Montgomery County, we are in for the ride and fight of our lives. Our legislators are not listening or reading the paper so perhaps they can see it at the polls. Gov. [Eliot] Spitzer has withdrawn giving licenses to illegals in New York; we need to do the same in Maryland. Gov. [Martin] O’Malley, are you paying attention?

Maryland residents are seeking sanctuary in not only Maryland, but in America. Is there someplace we can go to get the same protection that is being poured on illegal immigrants who broke our laws just by coming here?

I want a vote on the ballot for this in 2008. I want to be able to vote no to being a sanctuary city, no to giving licenses to illegal immigrants and no to illegal immigration!

Yeah, that got your attention. Because it ain’t likely to happen. As much as Christians are pilloried, most sane folks (excluding Rosie O’Donnell, for whom no Christian is ever quite silent or dead enough) know that Christians do not turn their kids into suicide bombers. Even if the odd woman did, nothing in their Holy book mandates or sanctions that.

Unfortunately, too few Americans realize that Islamic women all too frequently will offer up their children for jihad, which is, apparently, sanctioned by their god Converting children into artillery at least serves a purpose in the minds of these god forsaken creatures. It’s a vile offering to their vile god. They imagine that it gives them purchase in heaven, it earns them brownie points with Allah, or a payoff from the Saudis or Hamas.

The same can not be said of those liberal women who kill the babies who have inconvenienced them and their sacrosanct wombs. I very much hate to ponder what in the west corresponds to what I have seen in Islam, but, push comes to shove, this approaching war , one one level, isn’t so much about Islam as it is a battle between life and death. When you remove the labels, Islamists blend in quite readily with all and any who espouse a nihilistic death creed, regardless of the political or religious instruments that express that creed.

I very much want to rail about the barbarity in Islam, and, indeed, there is little else but barbarity. But I can’t fail to note the same barbarity practiced by those Western women who have convinced themselves that the life that they snuff out is mere tissue. Their belief in that fallacy mimics the muslim woman’s equally perverse belief that the baby or child sacrificed to Jihad is blessed by her god. Both women delude themselves in service to a lie. Both women, willingly or not, serve death.

If too many serve death, death will win. Be it death in degrees by socialism and creeping sharia, or death by the hands of a mad muslim with nukes, a people who no longer reverence life, are doomed. The fact remains, as far as America goes, were there nary an Islamist on our shores, the so-called progressives and the elites denigrate life as faciley as does Islam. No matter what color skin shrouds our soul nor which creed instructs our hearts, in the end, human beings must choose whom they will serve; life or death.

In the name of Allah, Islamic children serve death. In the name of convenience, so do these children.

In a nation wherein half the population has chosen an alternate reality of false peace, sleeper cells have very little to worry about. Members of such groups can count on the somnambulistic American public to ignore any suspicions, falling back on the soporifics of the liars who insist that terrorism is a George Bush construct meant to deflect attention from nefarious oil deals.

Well, at this stage I haven’t much faith in George Bush, but Islam is not a figment of his imagination. His constant refrain that Islam is a religion of peace, however, is very imaginative on his part.

A lone jihadist in America can cause incalculable damage. Multiculturalism and political correctness provide a good deal of his camouflage. We can thank the left for providing those tools to our enemies. We can also thank the left that documented information on the nature of the Islamists is buried or attacked as racist delusions.

If only that were true. I often wish that I was still a deluded liberal who could buy into their alternate reality. That way, at least, I can enjoy my time with children and grandchildren instead of watching them while my heart is gripped with fear for their future.

Because men like the Islamist quoted below are in this country, looking for ways to kill my children and yours, while liberals whistle Dixie and other deceived Americans join the chorus.

When it comes down to it, I’m a really lousy conservative. Could be because I have been a default liberal for 49 years longer than my brief, few years as a conservative. I embarrass myself when I recognize my old liberal, knee jerk reactions kicking into action. Though leftist indoctrination is far more pervasive in schools today, the boomer generation certainly were recipients of the hate-America meme as well, though we hardly originated it. We were just such malleable freaking tools for those who have long sought to bring this country down.

I started noticing my “indoctrination” when I first started blogging in 2001. I had this instantaneous hostility towards Christianity. I knew I had my own arguments with God, but none that justified my automatic sneer as soon as Christianity was mentioned. I started looking at that and asking why, and of course, that opens the door for examining all the other indoctrination that I had bought into over the years. It’s rather hard to be raised in America without coming to the conclusion that Christianity is the enemy. Which, as it turns out, like most liberal dogma, is false.

My liberal background certainly explains my ineptitude at debate. I have always argued from emotion, using over blown oratory to deliver an emotional punch that, usually, failed to have factual substance. It was enough that I b-e-l-i-e-v-e-d whatever it was that I was prattling on about. My shrink called this ‘magical thinking’. At the time, I had no idea that half the country suffered from it.

I am reminded of my liberal-ness when reading this conservative describe her experience in liberal Massachusetts.

“One benefit of moving to Massachusetts is that I have been forced to clearly define my political beliefs. I am more of a Conservative Republican in Massachusetts that I ever was in the mid-West…

I usually fare pretty well during these brief discussions because I know the facts and can defend my positions. That is what strikes me the most. The left-winger liberals defend their positions with emotion and attack, not fact. Many of them, when queried, cannot even explain why it is they have taken the left side.”

That is what I found to be true when questioning my antipathy towards Christianity - I couldn’t adequately explain it. I had no real reason to disdain it. Christians had never done me nor mine any harm. I had never experienced them to be any more than irritants. They may have thought I was a depraved druggie and declared me to be a hedonist, but they never sought to silence me, or imprison me as Islam would. And besides, they were right. Moreover, Christians may have loathed my abuse of them, but they didn’t invent “hate speech” laws in order to censor me. That is the brainchild of the left.
In actuality, it is the secular religious police who now threaten us all with censorship and thought controls. While Christians are associated with the tactics employed in the Salem witch hunts, no one seems to notice the witch hunt that sustains the ACLU. If Christians had sought to shut down opposing views as zealously as the left currently does, I would have been justified in my hatred for them. As it is, it turns out the left are the real religious police and their criticisms of Christianity are little more than neurotic projections.

Fortunately, I now have facts to defend my positions. There are ample reasons to defend America and her Judeo-Christian roots. More importantly, the freedom that has always defined this nation had begun eroding long before the Twin Towers fell. In fact, the islamists’ attack resulted in illuminating the rot in the American body, exposing the cancer that has been eating away at her foundations; the so-called Progressives/socialists in academia, government and science. They are every bit the enemy that Islam is - they all derive their ideology from the same nihilistic roots.

I am may not end up being a particularly articulate defender of America and the West, but at least I am standing on solid ground. The left likes to refer to themselves as “reality based”. I, seriously, beg to differ. All the left can do is violate reality. It’s up to the rest of us to mend it back together.

I have been circling this first post for a very long time. This blog, RoadSassy, is actually almost six years old and was known primarily as SpicedSass, though the domain name has always been RoadSassy. It began as a type of tribute to the American road, a nostalgic foray into the romance of the American highway and the freedom that “the road” represents. It was a way for me to begin writing again after years of having been unable to do so.

When the topic of Islam and the treacherous and treasonous behavior of the left started consuming my attention, I created SpicedSass, trying to save RoadSassy from the vitriolic words that strutted about on Spiced. But alas, my anger consumed me, still does, and I found it painful to write about Route 66 and other Americana while knowing the many forces determined to besmirch and destroy the America I love. I abandoned RoadSassy for my political rants in Spiced, writing for several years, until the burden of doing so became more than I could handle.

I quit writing over a year ago and my faithful Canadian blogging partner, Ligneus, kept SpicedSass alive. Finally, problems with the blog itself made it impossible to maintain.

I have no idea how RoadSassy will now evolve. But Ligneus and I are preparing to get back in the saddle and head out back into “the blogosphere”, trailing our words behind us.

We have changed hosts and are in the process of yanking several years worth of archives out of the jaws of the old b2evolution blogger platform into a new WordPress platform. When I say we, I actually mean our magical web dude,”Ron”, who has undertaken the task. Without Ron, RoadSassy wouldn’t having any rubber with which to “hit the road”.

But I find it sad that so much of what is written in those archives pertains to what is ongoing. By that I mean, when I wrote some of those pieces, I truly didn’t imagine the schism in this country being so deep, did not see the speed with which political islam would gain ascendancy. Though I early on recognized the cozy fit between islam and the left, I could never have foreseen the suicidal support of the left for their own eventual elimination.

So I find myself wanting to review those initial posts; to review my awakening to my love for this country, my initial introduction to the world of race card politics, introduced to me locally by the 2001 Cincinnati riots. And then there was 911. I want to re-visit my emerging realization of the value of our Judeo-Christian roots, and my growing horror of what Islam represents.

I guess I want to trace my original thoughts as an amazed, stunned, angry, frustrated American because, quite frankly, I need to find the heart of my writing again. If there is one. I have to find where RoadSassy started, so I can resume my journey. My anger put me off track. My capacity for hatred of the enemy unnerved me - still does.

Mind you, not that I am bothered by hatred. Call me a hater all you damn well please. I hate censorship, political correctness, and liberal thought police. I hate socialism and the Orwellian social engineering propagated throughout the media and academia. And I loathe Islam, sharia law and tribalism. I find that hatred is an appropriate response to an enemy. It just isn’t the most productive.

The essence of writing issues from a type of inner reservoir that, no matter how masterfully crafted, prose cannot adequately mask. My reservoir has been a pool of bitterness, fear and anger, and thus, such has been the character and cadence of my words. If roadsassy is to have any value, it has to actually move the journey that I initially started, forward. I have to reach the other side of that anger. My writing has to come through the fire purged, or simply be consumed by it.

If my anger does not forge my words into instruments that at least serve to elucidate, there is no point, at least, not for me. Because there has to be “the other side” of the impotency and pain of watching your nation betrayed and your children and grandchildrens’ future sacrificed. I must find a way to use this blog to create something useful, something for my children to read and, perhaps, be guided by.

Because the coming battle is, god help them, theirs. This is what my lamentable generation has bequeathed them…………. One voice at Roadsassy is simply that of one American, finding her way , seeking to be a warrior and knowing she is ill equipped to be other than what she is.. a woman, mother, and grandmother, cursing at the darkness while trying to chart a course through it.

Now, when Ligneus starts posting, you’ll hear a saner, far more refined voice. Ever the optimist to my doom saying, he brings to this site great insight and a unique, thoughtful perspective.
