Obamadebacle.

I’m starting a new category on Obama Will Lose. I don’t think I’m an optimist, I just don’t see him as electable, any more than McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis or Kerry were. What a collection of turkies!

Roger L Simon has a post on Obama and Hillary’s lies on NAFTA.

Stephen Bainbridge writes on ‘Obama, Judicial Selection and the Rule of Law, in which he criticises Obama’s take on the role of judges, such as:

We need somebody who’s got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it’s like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it’s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that’s the criteria by which I’m going to be selecting my judges.

Some of the commenters disagree with SB, quite eloquently sometimes, but they miss the point which is that judges should not make decisions based on a political agenda. For better or worse we have elected politicians and occasionally a Statesman to do that. Something to do with Democracy I’ve heard tell.

The crazy thing is that leftists will fall for that, but if you tell them you will select judges who know what it’s like to pay tax, have your faith driven out of the public forum, to bust your balls so some parasite can live off your work, a judge who loves America and rightly thinks it’s superior to some craphole like Cuba or Mexico and criminals should be punished and when necessary executed. Suddenly you’ll see leftists yearning to keep the political agenda out of it.

Yep, that’s the left for you, so morally and intellectually adrift that they manage to be wrong on just about everything and the only catch-all explanation I’ve been able to come up with is that they are the people who never got to grow up. You see it when you try to discuss anything with them, it’s like talking to over indulged fifteen year olds. [Apologies to the fifteen year olds out there who do have a brain that works].

Everything out of that man’s mouth horrifies me.His beliefs seem to be rooted in this lowest common denominator type equation. Forget setting your sights high, shooting for the stars or any other metaphor which serves to depict mankind as powerful and free masters of their fate.
What good do you do the poor or disadvantaged if there is nothing left to aspire for but a meal ticket from the Obama soup kitchens?
