But that seems to be the overriding meme within the Obamista culture—information control. Thought control. Why, just last week, I was watching a YouTube video of one of Obama’s lame attempts to explain his “clinging to religion and guns” faux pas. I read some of the comments under the video, and was thoroughly disgusted by the perfect unanimity displayed by the fawning, drooling boobs who were making the comments. So I thought I’d spice things up in the comments section by informing them that they were behaving like morons. But lo and behold, the comments were being moderated. Ergo the unanimity.

Information control. Thought control. The Obama freaks enforced it with Stalin-esque rigidity in the comments to the YouTube video. And that’s what the nutroots on Daily Kos and the Huffington Post wanted to enforce during last night’s Democratic debate. They wanted to prevent Stephanopoulos from asking Obama probing questions about the Wright/bitterness/Ayers situations.

There is quite a bit to know about Obama and The Obama File does a damn fine job organizing it for your research pleasure. Well, actually reading about this fool amounts to pure torture, but, at least it’s orderly torture.

I have been somewhat successful in blocking John McCain out of my mind. The only way that I have been able to imagine voting for him, is not to imagine him at all. And of course, the more I discovered about the horror that is Barack Obama, the more I could justify voting for McCain.

But the negatives just keep on coming;  his dances with Soros, his  questionable staff, his spineless politically correct pandering, his empty rhetoric on illegals. That is quite a bit of material to suppress, to ignore, to pretend isn’t there.

But McCain’s latest drama queen histrionics over the North Carolina’s GOP’s refusal to pander to his megalomaniacal posturing is about the tipping point. How can one reasonably expect McCain to work with actual conservatives when it is obvious that he holds them in no higher regard than does Obama. It seems clear that the North Carolinians are exactly the stripe of conservative whom McCain has every intention of marginalizing, now and later.

The deal breaker to me, however, is the sovereignty of this country. And John McCain doesn’t even have it on his dance card.

And now, he is no longer on mine.

In his March 26 speech to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council**, McCain never mentioned the need to preserve American sovereignty. He could have reassured conservatives by stating his forthright opposition to Senate ratification of the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty, which provides for international control over billions of dollars worth of oil, gas and minerals and undermines American claims to North Pole riches. But he chose not to.

Noting that McCain committed himself to adoption of a new U.N.-sponsored global warming treaty, which would be even more comprehensive and tougher than the Kyoto Protocol, Limbaugh said that, “The theme here is that there’s nothing special about America, and that we’re not going to be able to do anything without involving other nations and making them like us and showing them that we intend them no harm and that we want to be good stewards of the planet just as they want to be good stewards.”

The latter was a reference to McCain declaring that, “We need to be good stewards of our planet and join with other nations to help preserve our common home. The risks of global warming have no borders.” McCain sounded like another Democrat - Al Gore.

But despite his preference for what appears to be some kind of New World Order, McCain’s prior endorsement of a new Muslim state in Europe by the name of Kosovo could undermine all of his best-laid plans. Recognition of Kosovo could lead to war with Russia and more terrorist problems for Israel.

It is certainly a variation of “global governance,” which is the proposal that former Clinton State Department official Strobe Talbott makes in his book, The Great Experiment. Talbott calls McCain a “pragmatist” in foreign affairs, just like Obama and Hillary, and says that he expects his liberal Brookings Institution to have influence over a McCain presidency.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama celebrated Roe v. Wade on Tuesday as hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates came to the nation’s capital to condemn it. Obama said he’s worried the Supreme Court is just one vote away from overturning the infamous ruling that allowed virtually unlimited abortions.

“Thirty-five years after the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, it’s never been more important to protect,” legalized abortions.

Obama said the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision last April in upholding the national ban on partial-birth abortions could be a harbinger of things to come.

“With one more vacancy on the Supreme Court, we could be looking at a majority hostile to a women’s fundamental right to choose for the first time since Roe v. Wade,” Obama said.

“The next president may be asked to nominate that Supreme Court justice. That is what is at stake in this election,” he added.

Obama, an Illinois senator and former member of the state’s legislature, said he has a consistent 100% pro-abortion voting record with NARAL and Planned Parenthood.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been a consistent and strong supporter of [abortion],” he said.

This is a topic that needs more than one post and far more attention than one blog can bring to it. But, here is a start.

I want to bring to your attention  Grizzly Groundswell. Yes, an odd enough name, but it denotes, at least, the imagery that we conservatives and anti-jihadists would like to think is a bit prophetic. A groundswell of Americans rolling in, mounting an assault of grizzly-like ferocity to retake the ground that our lack of attention , among other things, caused to be forfeited to the left and political islam.

It is due to exactly that political inattentiveness or indifference that finds us appalled that muslim Keith Ellison obtains political office. Or to wake up one morning to the the cacophony of an Islamic “call to prayer” and wonder when the hell they started allowing that. Or when did they change the zoning that opened the door for a mosque to be built. Or you find out that, lo and behold,you are now stranded in a sanctuary city.

Well, if any of us kept as close an eye on the politics being practiced in our own back yard as we do on our favorite sports team or reality show, we’d know that aspiring candidates, proponents of socialism and islam , are making good use of all the empty seats at those local town council meetings that we never attend. Or those school board meetings where islamic textbooks are entered into the curriculum with little or no debate. Yup, the ground now fenced in by our enemies is ground we have ceded.

But, even yet, it may not be too late.

And, I speculate, for most of us the words activists, citizen groups, and protests are awkward and slightly silly. To me at least. Before 9.11 I would have thought that hippies had faded from the nation’s consciousness, as some ghosts of the sixties have had the graciousness to do. But alas, as we have witnessed, that graying, pot bellied, absurdly grotesque generation is still blocking traffic, stabbing the sky with signs and spitting contempt for you and me.

They may still be there, but, mostly as stage props, nostalgic cameos inserted into a larger picture of far more consequence to this nation. The real war theater is far removed from their addled contributions. Campaigns and propaganda originate from within the ganglion of the Soros media/think tank/NGO machine, are distributed through Hollywood and cable and embodies the chimera that we conservatives seem so ill equipped to withstand.

So you start somewhere and Grizzly Groundswell is one of many native and original grass roots efforts organizing to take aim at that chimera. Because if we don’t step out into our own backyard and see what the lay of the land is, we are just leaving the gates wide open for all kinds of vermin, be they of the progressive variety, or the Islamic variety.

These images are a pleasant change from the usual protesters, aren’t they? They record the recent turnout of Grizzlies and others in support of The Minnesota Tax Cut Rally. It is just one example of what can be done. Did it change anything? I don’t know. It’s a step. It’s part of a process.

I don’t know that anyone needs any more incentive than we presently have to get off our asses, but here is an article that demonstrates quite neatly what is going on in our backyards.

Now. All of those candidates are in someone’s backyard. And yes, I am focusing on Muslims. I have no qualms questioning their patriotism and wondering exactly where their allegiance to America ends and their march towards sharia begins. But there is also a harvest of young leftard lunatics chomping at their political bits to get in there and “make a difference” and “change somebody’s life”.

Grizzly Groundswell is one group trying to make a difference on our side. He is one of many such groups that appear to be organizing. Too late? Who knows. But we might as well fight until we find out.

He fumbled the Charlie Gibson question regarding capital gains tax rates and showed himself to be out of his depth when handling policy questions without his handlers. This avoidance of the press is clear. He has not made himself available for questions from the press for 10 days now and the number looks to go higher

When asked about the endorsement by the Hamas terror group, he had a snippety answer, “Why can’t I just eat my waffle” which echoes his behavior when confronted with questions about his ties to Tony Rezko, now on trial in Federal Court in Chicago. He avoided answering thsoe questiosn and then stalked off from a press conference whining to the reporters “C’mon guys. I answered 8 questions.”
Now comes news that he will not particpate in a debate with Hilalry Clitnon before the North Carolina primary. This refusal to answer questions from the press puts on display once again that Barack Obama tends to lose his appeal when he is without his teleprompter (see “Obama Unplugged” by Dean Barnett) and when he is not in front an adoring audience or a fawning press.

If he cannot handle the press and answer their questions-the man who thinks words are so important-how will he handle the world’s tyrants?

In case Congress missed the news, four U.S. airlines have gone broke during this month alone. Frontier declared bankruptcy, but will continue flying. Even worse, Aloha, ATA, and Skybus blamed unaffordable fuel as they grounded their jets. Aloha said sayonara to 1,900 employees, NBC News reports. ATA’s demise destroyed 2,200 jobs, while Skybus sacked 450 workers, atop the 80,000 positions lost across the economy as unemployment spiked from 4.8 percent in February to 5.1 in March.

The facts about capital gains rates and revenues are well known to our readers, but we’ll repeat them as a public service to the Obama campaign. As the nearby chart shows, when the tax rate has risen over the past half century, capital gains realizations have fallen and along with them tax revenue. The most recent such episode was in the early 1990s, when Mr. Obama was old enough to be paying attention. That’s one reason Jack Kennedy proposed cutting the capital gains rate. And it’s one reason Bill Clinton went along with a rate cut to 20% from 28% in 1997.

Either the young Illinois Senator is ignorant of this revenue data, or he doesn’t really care because he’s a true income redistributionist who prefers high tax rates as a matter of ideological dogma regardless of the revenue consequences. Neither one is a recommendation for President.

Congress has succeeded in making the student loan business less profitable. It did not think about the consequences of this, of course, but it should now see–if there is any wit on Capitol Hill–that when you make a business less profitable via government fiat, you decrease the incentives for that business to continue in its previous robust fashion–if at all.

Et voilà, that is precisely what we are seeing. Student loan lenders can’t make as much of a profit thanks to the caps on the interest rates they charge. As a result–especially given the current credit crunch–they are scaling back their activities or cutting out of the student loan business altogether. And this only serves to harm students. Larry Kudlow on Barack Obama and Tax Policy on NRO Financial

This is more than just a failure to understand the Laffer curve. It’s another cultural misstep by Obama. I can’t help but wonder if the senator knows any cops or firemen. His appeal is to well-educated latte liberals. That remark about middle-income folks having turned to God, faith, and guns because of economic setbacks? Not only was it ill-advised, it illustrates the wide cultural chasm that exists between the candidate and the rest of America.

In effect, Obama’s economics are bad and his social circle is very limited. This is one of the many reasons why a quarter of the Hillary Democrats are telling pollsters they’ll likely move to John McCain in the general election.

Obama’s real agenda is far-liberal left. It’s an ideology that places income redistribution above economic growth. That’s his real message. And it’s the same one that sunk Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry. Bill Clinton? He was a growth Democrat. So he won twice. But Obama is aligning himself with the Democratic losers. And that will make him a loser as well.

The many points where Islam and other totalitarians systems are in agreement are painfully obvious when one compares their respective goals and strategies.

Back in 2003 I posted on Dr. Anis Shorrosh’s Twenty-Year Plan: Islam Targets America, challenging readers to find examples in the US that stand as credible evidence that many of the strategies and objectives listed are becoming a reality.

Well, here is another challenge. Reproduced below the fold you will find the goals of communism in America from Cleon Skousen’s “The Naked Communist”, entered into the Congressional Record in 1963. See how many objectives on the list have either already been achieved, or will be should Obama or Hillary get in.

I say that Barrack Hussein Obama is what “…happens in America when government veers from its constitutionally granted powers, and decides it can “redistribute.” Reading the long term goals of communism in America is to understand that candidates like Barrack Hussein Obama or Hillary Clinton have been long in the making and a long time coming.

And so has Islam. The activist templates that are commonly employed in the implementation of this communist manifesto are those that “progressives” have long employed and those that CAIR and other Islamic front groups have adapted to their own purposes with great skill. Both agendas have the demise of America and the enslavement of her citizens as their ultimate objective.

Go ahead and read both the islamic and communist game plans, if you have the time, and start matching the various points and strategies with the ample evidence that we are witness to today testifying to the realization of many of those goals. After that, consider just what Barack Hussein Obama - a man who has overwhelming muslim support (as well as muslim kin), terrorist endorsements, radical left associations - a man rooted deeply in the theology of victinhood and oppression - ask yourself what exactly does he mean when he speaks of change.

If either Hillary or Obama are elected, no one can honestly say that we haven’t been warned.

To even make the list you needed minimum earnings of $350 million, which is $90 million higher than the year before. No chief executive of a traditional Wall Street investment bank even came close…For hedge fund billionaires Pickens and second-ranked George Soros ($2.4 billion), whose own investments compose a significant portion of their funds, there’s more to be made from asset appreciation than from fees. Soros made $2 billion from the growth of personal investments within his $17 billion Quantum Endowment Fund, which returned 32% for the year…
