– Barack Obama on Tuesday vowed he would break America’s addiction to “dirty, dwindling and dangerously expensive” oil if he is elected U.S. president — and one of his first targets might well be Canada’s oilsands.
A senior adviser to Obama’s campaign told reporters it’s an “open question” whether oil produced from northern Alberta’s oilsands fits with the Democratic candidate’s plan to shift the U.S. sharply away from consumption of carbon-intensive fossil fuels.
“If it turns out that those technologies don’t advance … and the only way to produce those resources would be at a significant penalty to climate change, then we don’t believe that those resources are going to be part of the long-term, are going to play a growing role in the long-term future,” said Jason Grumet, Obama’s senior energy adviser.
The remarks amount to a shot across the bow of Alberta’s oilsands industry, which is planning to boost production from 1.3 million barrels a day to 3.5 million barrels over the next decade.
The industry has come under sustained attack from U.S. environmentalists over the past year because the production of its heavy oil emits an estimated three times more greenhouse gases than conventional oil.

Shocker: Art exhibit of “The Assassination Of Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton”
The New York Times reports that the New York City Police Department and Secret Service shut down an exhibition yesterday entitled, “The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama.”We must forewarn you that these graphic images of Obama includes such things as, nooses painted along the gallery walls, an image of a monstrously enlarged, erect black penis stretching along several walls within the space. There is also a photo of Barack’s young daughters, with the overhead caption reading “nappy-headed hoes,” the artist also features a painting of RFK looming behind Obama, with captions on the opposing walls stating, “Just Passing” and “Passed.”
I must say, this is truly bizarre. One would expect a denizen of the art world to adore Obama. As much as I abhor the thought of an Obama presidency, this crosses a few lines.
Boston-born performance artist, Yazmany Arboleda, however, maintains that he is depicting the media assassination of both Obama and Hillary, (who also has a gallery of considerably less vicious images.)
“It’s art. It’s not supposed to be harmful. It’s about character assassination — about how Obama and Hillary have been portrayed by the media.” He added, “It’s about the media.”
Though I fail to see how the hell the media is doing anything but bowing down before Obama. This is, however, censorship.

I have just read the most bizarre example of treacly, fatuous, fawning prose yet to be written about Obamessiah, spewed from the fervid mind of Mark Morford - whom I’ve never heard of before, nor wish to hear of ever again. This is close to public fellatio. It’s embarrassing, the stuff you are likely to hear from alien obsessed midnight callers to George Noory on Coast to Coast radio.
Even Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn’t have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity.

In fact, he’s the perfect fit.
Curious about the term Obammunism, I googledit and found merely 50 references. I say let’s get this word out into the mainstream. It’s certainly easier than referring to Obama’s Marxist, Socialist, black liberation ideological roots all of the time. You can wrap it up in one convenient word; Obammunism.

So is every intelligent, currently wealthy person in the US. What, did you think that Obama is going to be able to take our stuff and give it to the poor? This isn’t the manly 1917 Communist revolt, this isn’t the French Revolution where individuals took things into their own hands. This is a whiners’ revolt where you will elect the most polished person who shows up to “bring change.” Please. Obama will take all, you’ll get nothing. If you want something you have to fight for it. However, good luck beating people who have worked hard to get where they are. We’ll fight to keep it.
Understand? If you really think that our country is unfair, the only way to change it is through revolution. But you are too weak and whiny to do that, aren’t you? And that’s why you are electing a person to do the dirty work for you. Guess what? The person who does the work, get’s the booty. You’ll get nothing for it. When are you going to learn that it takes work to get something.
The question is- Will you have enough to thrive, Mr/Ms Obama supporter? Or will you be living a la Communist Russia? Yeah, you’ll have most of the things you need but very, very few extras. Maybe that’s cool with you, I don’t know. I do know that under Communism MOST people lived unfulfilled lives. Under captitalism, only SOME people live unfulfilled lives. I’ll take capitalism.
But if you insist on electing obama, I hope you have all of your extras hidden away like I do. My dad and his parents are from the Ukraine. They know what government forced “equality” is like. It’s like this- a rich class and a poor class. The rich are in power, anyone not in power is poor- and they remain poor. There is no opportunity to escape your poverty. Under our current system, there is opportunity to escape whatever situation in which you find yourself- that is, there is opportunity if you aren’t too weak-minded or lazy to make something of yourself.
So, if you aren’t in power, have fun eating your government cheese. Your SUSHI will be taken away from you! Your coctail parties will be shut down. Your 2 bedroom condo will be given to a family of 6. You’ll be assigned to a studio apartment. I’ll be living in a studio apartment, too, but I’ll have hidden resources to still make life a little more enjoyable, though, just like all of my country club friends who have lots of resources hidden away.
Weak, whiners can’t take away freedom and wealth from strong people. Only strong revolutionaries can pull that off. Obammmunists are not strong people, they are whiners. They will get the short end of the stick as Obama and his pals get rich, rich rich. Just like me. Where are you going to be?

Despite 31,000 scientists debunking the idea that you and I are responsible for climate change on the planet, congress is going forward with enactment of laws that will have disastrous effects on our economy and way of life. Members of Congress are considering several bills designed to combat climate change. Chief among them is Senate bill 2191–America’s Climate Security Act of 2007–introduced by Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and John Warner (R-VA). This bill would set a limit on the emissions of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide from the combustion of coal, oil, and natural gas.

Each year, China adds more coal-fired electricity generation than all the power in Texas, and Texas is the U.S. leader in electricity generation. China is committed to raising its enormous population from poverty, and it has given every indication that it intends to stick with the current policy of breakneck economic development and job creation.
China argues that it has the right to grow and raise its standard of living closer to ours, and if we want to reduce worldwide emissions, we should do it by ourselves. In summary, cap-and-trade works badly in Europe, is DOA in Asia and makes no economic sense in America.

I’m a simple person. Since childhood, jumping in a car - just to cruise, just for a ride, just to get lost - was always a pleasant way to spend the day. According to the Boston Globe, Norman Spack, a pediatric endocrinologist and doctor at the Children’s Hospital Boston has begun a new program to drug children to delay puberty so they can decide on a male or female body for themselves.
Spack says he started the Gender Management Service Clinic because he found himself encountering 20- somethings who were “transgendered” and for the most part in good shape socially, “but they were having trouble getting their physique to conform to their identity.”
“I knew the 20-somethings could have better chances of passing if they were treated earlier,” he said.
The pro-family Mass Resistance organization stated, “We don’t think that demonic is too strong a word to describe this…it brings us thoughts of the Nazi doctors who thought they were doing good things.”
WND has reports on the controversies prompted by the belief that a man can be born in a woman’s body or vice versa. One such case occurred in Montgomery County, Md., where county officials adopted a law which precludes those who provide public accommodations from discriminating based on that “gender identity.”
Citizens have petitioned for a vote on the law because they fear men who “decide” they are female walking into women’s restrooms and locker rooms.

The district says it’s paying up to $20,000 a year more on electricity after installing solar energy systems at 28 schools. Plans for solar installations at 22 other schools have now been put on hold.
School district energy management coordinator J. William Naish says spiking energy bills are the result of how San Diego Gas and Electric calculates charges to large power users.
Naish says it’s almost like the district is being penalized for going solar.
The formula used to calculate electricity rates in California is expected to change next month. Naish says he wants to see a few bills under the new rate system before reviving solar energy use.
