Super Slave on Rev Jeremiah Wright

Black & White on the Grey Matters (Jermiah Wright)

I want to say that it’s been so long since I have heard a sane black American speak that I forgot how much I used to enjoy the black race, but, no doubt, that will be bait for the race card hucksters to crow about. Too bad.

“Super Slave” nails Rev Wright and his militant black theology and he certainly could give Barack Obama a clue or two. But, unfortunately, I think the Obamas of the world refer to this kind of black man as an Uncle Tom. That’s a shame. I’d call him my kind of American.

Oh, Christo-phobes will be offended. This guy knows his Christianity. He must read a different bible than Obama.

Don’t Like the Price of Gas? Then Get Off Your Ass and Do Something About It.

global warming lies
This is taken in it’s entirety from Grizzly Groundswell. It’s a site that you will want to bookmark if you need guidance, direction and ideas to start fighting back. They have chapters in every state for localized action.

Activism isn’t a conservative strength but it damn well better become one. An Obama presidency is a damn harsh penalty to pay for not acting now. And not just regarding gas prices and oil production, but, that’s another post.

What is hard to convince folks of is that every little bit helps. And even if it doesn’t, do you really want to look back after the global warming hucksters break America’s economic back and wonder if it would have made a difference if everybody had fought? So, it can be as simple as re-posting the piece below on your blog.

Further, we are asking all of our friends, subscribers and readers to blogburst this EVERYWHERE! Don’t wait another minute, this is a GENUINE crisis.

If you don’t have a blog, you can click the “share” Icon below the post. You will find an option to email this post right from here.

THIS IS NOW A NATIONAL EMERGENCY

The issue of skyrocketing oil prices can no longer be dismissed as the natural tugging of market forces.

In the last 24 hours of the workweek ending on Friday, June 6th, flimsy speculation drove the price of a barrel of crude oil up approximately $16 a barrel, to a record high of nearly $140.

It is way past time for President Bush, and our leaders in Washington, to recognize that speculators in the world oil market have declared economic war on the United States, and take immediate action to defend this country. This is now nothing short of an economic and National Security Emergency that is a clear and present danger to the United States.

We are calling on President Bush to - without delay - declare a NATIONAL EMERGENCY and:

1: Suspend all Summer Blends of gasoline and all Federal Gas taxes.

2: Release at least 2 million barrels of oil per day from the Strategic Petroleum reserve from now until Labor day.

3: By Executive order, open ANWR and other areas currently closed to immediate oil exploration.

4: By Executive order, Construction to dramatically increase our refining capacity should start immediately.

American anger must now reach the point of rage and American inaction must cease now. We are asking you to bomb the White House with phone calls, e-mails, faxes and post cards, stressing these 4 points and do it now.

Further, we are asking all of our friends, subscribers and readers to blogburst this EVERYWHERE! Don’t wait another minute, this is a GENUINE crisis.

Web 2.0 for Conservatives: Part 1

When I look at the proficiency with which the Obama camp utilizes the web, I feel overwhelmed - especially given that so much is fueled by the gargantuan Soros media network, off line and on. And we conservatives, well, not so much.
Web 2.0
I don’t begin to understand the complexity of social networking;Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn. In fact, my very nature is to be repelled by this idea of indiscriminate joining, this faux-bonding that online life is rife with. I am in Facebook, but I do not interact with anyone. I am put off at clicking a stranger’s request to befriend me. WHo the hell are you? Why should I want to know you? And it seems that most of these networking applications do not have a function that basically says “F%$*k Off. At least Facebook gives you the option to have an enemy list. If I ever actually interacted, I’m sure I’d make use of it.

ANd then there is the Digg and YouTube crowds of rabidly Ameri-phobic Gore/Obama/Ron Paul geeks that dominate those sites. They gleefully lick bloody lips daily after chewing up yet another conservative entry that offends their ever fragile sensibilities.

So OK, I’m 56. Sue me. I don’t like this online social networking. Blogging is as friendly as I get. But that is a big disadvantage to me and to conservatives who, while not being as anti-social as I, are uncomfortable with and confused by this media called Web 2.0. Cause that is what they call it.

But, glory be, there are conservative Geeks out there, of that generation, who so understand the necessity of mastering Web 2.0. And a few of those Geeks have been trying to woo the rest of us to learn enough to make our words travel a bit faster, disseminate them more widely. Because as we all know, Obama’s camp has mastered it.

So, you want your blog to count?. Patrick Ruffini wants it to as well, and even though I do not understand all that he is talking about, I know enough to recognize that he certainly knows whereof he speaks. If you take the time to write daily to your blog, you owe it to yourself to take the time to read his post. And if you are still unsure what the hell he is saying, as this commenter remarked:

How about presenting these ideas in a manner that does not rely on marketing or internet jargon? Other than some of my younger geek type friends, no one I know will understand most of what you have written here — and neither can I. Those of us who you are aiming this at can not understand the specifics of what you are saying. I’m 45 and I know of no one who has used or would know how to use Twitter, for example, who is near my age.

And GOP_Rebel was kind enough to respond “in English” at this comment.

Now an excerpt from Ruffini’s post, though you ought to just jump over there now and read How McCain’s Website Can Beat Obama By Becoming a Platform posted at TheNextRight, a site on our side, described as a “place for wired activists to build a new Republican Party and conservative movement.”

Barack Obama’s Internet operation is beginning to resemble a mid-sized tech startup with 8 figures of Sand Hill Road money more than it is a political campaign. The Obama Internet team hit the ground running with ten staffers in February 2007, including Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes. Don’t be surprised to see them recruit more tech and data geeks for the general, including former Clintonistas and from Silicon Valley.

Their raw work product — even beyond the stunning online fundraising results — is impressive.

The level of detail on the Obama site is nothing short of phenomenal. You’ve got individual microsites built for Pennsylvania Neighborhood Teams, West Virginia Faith Captains, Oregon Community Organizers This is not stuff plopped in off some template, but stuff that only a large team can produce.

John McCain is never going to have the resources to do this kind of deep dive on his website. But he doesn’t have to.

Continue reading by clicking the links above. I’ll introduce you to another site of impressive young conservative Web 2.0 folks in Part 2. They have been in earnest trying to educate the rest of us for quite awhile. Or jump ahead and see for yourself: Ft. Hard Knox

The People Speak

Published by zee under The People Speak

Letters to the editors. At one time a letter to the editor was one of the few ways an average citizen could hope to voice their opinion. Of course now the same citizen can start a blog. But newspapers do remain, circulation somehow keeps them afloat, and now, all of us can read what one woman in Maryland, in a letter to the editor, thinks of sanctuary cities.

invasion

Yes indeed, millions might read it, but my guess is that those she wants to read it have stopped caring what their constituents think a long time ago. In city after city, state after state, citizens are ignored and quite frankly, I’m thinking everyone is getting a tad ticked off, to put it mildly.

It is time now to address our issues of being a ‘‘sanctuary city.” Who decides this? I don’t recall seeing a referendum on a ballot or anything else. It makes my blood boil every time I see Lou Dobbs (CNN) put the map up regarding cities that give sanctuary and licenses to illegal immigrants. Now the nonprofit organizations are moving out of the district into Maryland (we have more tax dollars here) to provide more services to, you guessed it, illegal immigrants.

Wake up [Prince George’s] and Montgomery County, we are in for the ride and fight of our lives. Our legislators are not listening or reading the paper so perhaps they can see it at the polls. Gov. [Eliot] Spitzer has withdrawn giving licenses to illegals in New York; we need to do the same in Maryland. Gov. [Martin] O’Malley, are you paying attention?

Maryland residents are seeking sanctuary in not only Maryland, but in America. Is there someplace we can go to get the same protection that is being poured on illegal immigrants who broke our laws just by coming here?

I want a vote on the ballot for this in 2008. I want to be able to vote no to being a sanctuary city, no to giving licenses to illegal immigrants and no to illegal immigration!
