John R.I.N.O McCain is Off My Dance Card

I have been somewhat successful in blocking John McCain out of my mind. The only way that I have been able to imagine voting for him, is not to imagine him at all. And of course, the more I discovered about the horror that is Barack Obama, the more I could justify voting for McCain.

But the negatives just keep on coming;  his dances with Soros, his  questionable staff, his spineless politically correct pandering, his empty rhetoric on illegals. That is quite a bit of material to suppress, to ignore, to pretend isn’t there.

But McCain’s latest drama queen histrionics over the North Carolina’s GOP’s refusal to pander to his megalomaniacal posturing is about the tipping point. How can one reasonably expect McCain to work with actual conservatives when it is obvious that he holds them in no higher regard than does Obama. It seems clear that the North Carolinians are exactly the stripe of conservative whom McCain has every intention of marginalizing, now and later.

The deal breaker to me, however, is the sovereignty of this country. And John McCain doesn’t even have it on his dance card.

And now, he is no longer on mine.

In his March 26 speech to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council**, McCain never mentioned the need to preserve American sovereignty. He could have reassured conservatives by stating his forthright opposition to Senate ratification of the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty, which provides for international control over billions of dollars worth of oil, gas and minerals and undermines American claims to North Pole riches. But he chose not to.

[...]

Noting that McCain committed himself to adoption of a new U.N.-sponsored global warming treaty, which would be even more comprehensive and tougher than the Kyoto Protocol, Limbaugh said that, “The theme here is that there’s nothing special about America, and that we’re not going to be able to do anything without involving other nations and making them like us and showing them that we intend them no harm and that we want to be good stewards of the planet just as they want to be good stewards.”

The latter was a reference to McCain declaring that, “We need to be good stewards of our planet and join with other nations to help preserve our common home. The risks of global warming have no borders.” McCain sounded like another Democrat - Al Gore.

But despite his preference for what appears to be some kind of New World Order, McCain’s prior endorsement of a new Muslim state in Europe by the name of Kosovo could undermine all of his best-laid plans. Recognition of Kosovo could lead to war with Russia and more terrorist problems for Israel.

[...]

Does McCain’s vision look like an emerging world government? It is certainly a variation of “global governance,” which is the proposal that former Clinton State Department official Strobe Talbott makes in his book, The Great Experiment. Talbott calls McCain a “pragmatist” in foreign affairs, just like Obama and Hillary, and says that he expects his liberal Brookings Institution to have influence over a McCain presidency.

[...]

McCain seemed blind not only to the issues that conservatives regard as critical in an election year, but he went out of his way to reach out to liberals and Democrats. The only part of the speech they probably didn’t like was on Iraq.

The tragedy of this approach is that it comes from a man who served his country in uniform and risked his life on behalf of the U.S. McCain would have been a natural choice to lead a campaign for restoration of American sovereignty in foreign affairs. He could have been “The American President Americans have been waiting for.”

For reasons that remain largely a mystery, he has chosen to take the U.S. down the road of “global governance,” in which the U.N. and other international agencies, institutions and alliances determine our fate as a nation. It is the same road the Democrats are on. It is a tragedy for our country.

If Only the Elections Actually Mattered

It’s true. This election is but a distraction from the real evil that besets this nation. Evil set in motion decades ago and, short of the second coming, unlikely to be reversed or overcome by this election. Feckless, power hungry politicians perform on a stage that might as well be set up on the deck of the Titanic. They are as hapless to prevent the coming catastrophes as the captain on that doomed voyage. If anything, America’s ruling elites are positioning us to run directly towards the iceberg.

EurabiaMap

I was just reading about Condoleezza Rice’s latest obsequious behavior before her muslim overlords (this fresh from the travesty that is Kosovo where we handed islam yet another nation to subjugate) and I can’t help but think that, like Europe, America’s elite are more than willing to use islam as proxy. Why facilitate the ascent of a totalitarian and repressive ideology unless you feel that you can wield it to help suppress a restive population?

Be it here or in Europe, those who value national sovereignty, those citizens who commit the sin of patriotism, who have the nerve to defend their nation’s traditions - we have become the impediments to a global order designed to suppress those very things.

In the end, who will devour the other first; the minions of allah or the minions of the left? It will not matter much to the likes of me. I suspect us common folks were written out of the script before we were ever born.

And you know, I can’t help but think of all the children that this nation has aborted who might have risen up with the moral rectitude and power to defend America. I know, nothing to do with the topic at hand…but then again, if a people fail to revere life, whose only objective is expediency and ease, whose vision does not extend past pleasure and whose spirit embraces death, what can be hoped for from such a people?

But Baron Bodissey at Gates of Vienna says it much better than I can.

It’s important to keep either Democrat from winning. But it’s not as important as many people think it is, and the long-term effect on the political momentum of this country will be minimal.

The permanent political class in America has nailed our rudder in place, and the ship of state is headed in a direction that will not easily be changed. The media focus is on the presidential candidates, and the big horse race, and who’s in and who’s out, but the real decisions are always being made by others. Congress, the Federal Reserve, the nameless functionaries in the permanent bureaucracy, the mandarins of the MSM who determine what the average American believes about what’s happening — these are the people who control the direction the country is headed in.

Without a leader of real character in office, the presidency is just a bit of froth on the surface of things.

…none of the major candidates for President is addressing the most important and pressing problems that face us. Continued mass immigration and the imminent collapse of the New Deal/Great Society welfare state are our most urgent issues.
Ten years from now these problems will be cutting through our national politics like a scythe, and the issues which are preoccupying us today will be forgotten.

And none of the major presidential candidates has addressed these grave threats in any serious fashion.

Hetero-phobes, Sovereignty, and Bestial Behavior ( all brought to you by Progressives)

Heard on The Halls of Vahalla ON ATW Radio, the account of a Christian librarian suing the hetero-phobes at Ohio State for free speech violations. Good on him. Got to start giving back as good as we get when it comes to censorship.

Also, reported on the same show….

A combative Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters was accused in a Senate hearing yesterday of defying a congressional vote to halt the Bush administration’s controversial project allowing Mexican trucks to operate freely on U.S. roads. “I regret supporting your nomination to be secretary of transportation,” Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., told Peters. “Your legal counsel is giving you bad advice that unfortunately you have willingly accepted.” Dorgan charged the Department of Transportation was “hell-bent on proceeding with this pilot program” regardless of safety concerns the agency’s inspector general continues to document. “You believe you have found a loophole, but you are making a very big mistake,” Dorgan warned Peters. “This is a slap in the face of Congress,” he declared, “and your arrogance will have consequences.” (Source)

I hope to god there are consequences. It seems to be something that the “progressives” never suffer from. And spitting in America’s face is exactly their intent. But, as the show host remarked, this is how the rats will continue to dismantle our borders and rape us of our sovereignty; piece by piece, stealth bill by stealth bill.

Which brings me to a piece posted by Aurora at Midnight Sun reporting the stealth military agreement between Canada and America.

Interesting what is happening while you’re not watching, America! This is the regionalization of the continent and the beginnings of the loss of your national sovereignty, just as the U.K. has lost theirs to the continent of Europe. Once you’ve got one military and one currency, not to mention huge cross-continental trade routes, everything else will end up being a formality. Perhaps Obama will be king of a bigger kingdom than we realize. No wonder they’re trying to distract us by the Obama/Hillary show…

And finally, also over at Midnight Sun, a report of a new “liberty” in the Netherlands guaranteed to attract every pulchritudinous pig, rapist, pedophile and progressive able to make the scene. Hey, it’s a perfect place for Elliot Spitzer to do all his rutting.

Read and weep.

Today, the Dutch police are calling for public sex to be legal in all parks. Ooh, goody! Let’s take our bottle of red down for a sight-seeing picnic on the grass, and grab the children for some real life lessons on what grownups do in their spare time! They’ll probably see the show as they ride through the park on their bikes anyway. continue reading here….

Yeah, Like We Really Need to Import More Unskilled Labor

This from an email sent by Californians for Population Stabilization:

Take Action!

In spite of evidence that the U.S. is slipping into a recession, Congressional leaders of both parties are trying to increase the number of visas available for foreign workers. This will lead to fewer jobs and lower wages for America’s own workers.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) has repeatedly sought to raise the annual limit of H-2B (non-skilled seasonal worker) visas beyond its annual cap of 66,000. Her increase in foreign workers was included in the Senate’s fiscal year 2008 spending bill but removed in conference with the House. HR 1843 is a similar stand-alone measure in the House.

Click here to learn more and to Take Action.

Like we really need more unskilled workers. Let’s have a conspiracy theory moment. Just because it seems so plausible, but yet, ludicrous. Even so, evidence seems to keep adding up.

When considering our government’s perverse indifference to the will of it’s citizens on immigration, while also contemplating the specter of Eurabia, it’s hard not not to speculate as to what exactly is afoot in the world. Great Britain, France, Germany - it all seems so pervasive and methodical- governments are incrementally erasing their native populations with immigrants.

From…

The Coming of Eurabia

The demographic Arab and Muslim weight in Europe is combining with the flow of Arab capital, the globalization of markets and the huge European financial investments in Arab lands to produce a gradual but inexorable movement toward the Islamification of Europe.

and Fjordmans must-read The Eurabia Code

…Eurabia – which asserts that the Islamicization of Europe didn’t happen merely by accident but with the active participation of European political leaders — is hardly ever referred to at all, despite the fact that it is easier to document. Does the notion of Eurabia hit too close to home? Perhaps it doesn’t fit with the anti-American disposition of many journalists? Curiously enough, even those left-leaning journalists who are otherwise critical of the European Union because of its free market elements never write about Eurabia.

Browse the European blogs and you can almost hear the susurrous spit of outrage rising among the people. Comments snarl with anger at obtuse, PC-riddled leaders. The sense of betrayal felt by every day citizens is almost palpable.

Out of control immigration by complicit governments, so much of it accomplished by stealth via treaties and agreements citizens have had absolutely no say in. Because, you see, those of us of us who cherish sovereignty, individuality and freedom - we are negligible -anachronistic commoners. With a couple more generations indoctrinated in multiculturalism, no one will remember the taste of freedom anyway. Those of us old enough to will more than likely get killed off by the “Progressives” socialized healthcare. I’m sure my chart will read; “Conservative: Do Not Resuscitate”.

Random Election Thoughts…

Not one step of my political journey has a damn thing to do with the Republican Party. I feel neither loyalty nor obligation  to any party. But I am beginning to think that the advice Michelle Malkin outlines in her post on the coming election is a sane approach.

Some on the Right advise their readers and listeners to vote Democrat or sit home. My advice is exactly the opposite: Get off the couch and walk the walk for conservative candidates and officeholders who need all the help they can get defending free markets, free minds, and secure borders—no matter who takes the White House in November.

9-11 removed my liberal blinders, galvanizing the fruition of “traditional” values long dormant, planted long ago by parents who never took a dime from anyone, but achieved the American dream that began when they were babes in their legal immigrant parents’ arms.

I have had to re-examine, among other things, my knee jerk antipathy to Christianity, my inclination to blame America first, as well as my appalling ignorance about how rare and unique the American experience is. I find it ironic that so many like me are now accused of being brainwashed - by talk radio no less - when it is only in the last few years that I have become aware that I was navigating on a type of lackadaisical blind trust for much of my life.

And whom did I trust? The same media, cultural mavens, press and academia that have succeeded in indoctrinating, on a far more pervasive scale, the post-boomer generations.

Not only do we need to rally behind conservative incumbents and candidates, I really would love to see conservatives invest considerable effort and influence into preparing offensive and defensive strategies to prevent the “Progressives” from cutting us off at the knees, something they will ardently seek to do, no matter who wins the White House. Conservatives will simply need to do the jobs that elected Republicans won’t do.

The Fairness Doctrine, for instance, (along with various “hate speech/crime” legislation) is one threat that I hope we prove capable of successfully defending against. I’d rather lend my hand to a battle engaged in protecting free speech than campaigning for McCain or shilling for “the party”. Perhaps I’m guilty of some type of siege mentality, but the fight against political Islam, judges, immigration, property and gun rights, etc can not be waged if we do not stand our ground on a few linchpin issues, some of which are:

Freedom of Speech/Press/Internet…be it the PC thought police ramming hate speech codes down our throat, creeping sharia, the grasping and greedy UN, or the “progressive’s” fondness for the Fairness Doctrine - we have to prepare to win these battles, no matter which socialist rules from the White House.

American sovereignty…under threat via many fronts, i.e., open borders, illegals, immigration reform, UN and International courts, treaties that will cripple the economy and muzzle us, foreign- (primarily Arab) investment (Citibank, NASDAQ)

Parental rights/Education…They will go after home schooling. Ideally, parents need to take back control of the curriculum in the public schools, challenging textbook companies and the teachers union and whoever else is responsible for the self loathing, Ameri-phobic, revisionist, social engineering voodoo that is presently taught. But even if we could reverse years of liberalism in the schools, which seems doubtful, we need to concentrate now on strengthening the rights of parents to control all aspects of their children’s education.
