Obama’s father, who met his mother when they were studying in Hawaii, returned to Kenya when the future senator was 2.

Also, “by 2022, I will make it a goal to have 6 billion gallons of our fuel come from sustainable, affordable biofuels.”
Under the Obama Five Year Plan, he will be “directing billions in loans and capital to entrepreneurs who are willing to create clean energy businesses and clean energy jobs right here in America.” Those “entrepreneurs” will consequently be bought and paid for Obama supporters.
Under an Obama regime, America will “invest federal resources, including tax incentives and government contracts, into developing next generation biofuels” and “raise our fuel mileage standards four percent every year.”
Except for Hugo Chavez and Barack Obama, the whole world learned in the last century that central economic planning does not work. Yet, that is where we are today in our national energy policy. That is why it is all such a mess.
Under Obama, it will all get much, much worse.
INDEED, WE HAVE just experienced a huge central planning disaster with the ethanol fiasco. Ethanol production consumes at least as much energy as it produces, still costs more than oil counting all of its never ending subsidies, actually harms the environment on net, and causes sharply rising food prices.
Food riots have broken out in poor Third World countries, where people are starving because so much land is being used for ethanol production rather than food production. Yet our central planning geniuses in Congress have “mandated” sharply increased use of ethanol over the coming years. This is precisely the model for Obama’s energy policy.

You certainly do make a habit of insulting good Americans. Your latest is dangling another government giveaway -what was it - $1000 this time? Was all your so-called community activism strictly performed in welfare neighborhoods? Because you seem to operate under the illusion that all Americans rejoice at the thought of government hand outs.
Personally, I don’t want your dirty money. Because deciding how much profit any business can make and then extracting what you deem to be an excess is dirty business in my book. But then, you and your posse of progressives live and breathe in order to plunder private businesses.
It seems to me that the the government has gouged the oil companies enough. Yet you want more. When is it ever enough with you people?

….. In other words, Exxon Mobil paid $32.361 billion in taxes in the second quarter, which works out to $4,114 in taxes per second.
Looking at it from another perspective, Exxon Mobil’s profit of about 8.4% of sales, while the taxes paid represented over 23% of sales. (August 1 AM Note: This was originally said to be 32%, but has been corrected. The transposition zombies have been appropriately tracked down and punished.)
It’s remarkable that CNN even reported the taxes paid, as they were the clear exception:
The word “tax” does not appear in the Guardian, Chronicle, or AP articles. Bloomberg only used the word in connection with the after-tax effect of the company’s Exxon Valdez settlement.
So who are the greedy ones — Exxon shareholders who want a return on their investment, or the myriad government entities who insist that their grubby fingers be in the pie?
And now you are whining because most Americans find your inflated tire fetish amusing. Well, we have to laugh at this point, Obama sweetie, because it is getting rather surreal that you can continue to pontificate, uttering inanities at every opportunity, and the main stream media just let’s you get away with it. It seems like it is affirmative action with you all the way. The media will ignore your every inadequacy in order to assuage their collective white guilt and try to see to it that you get elected into a position that you aren’t in the least bit qualified for.
But sane Americans do have your number, Obama, and a lesson in basic math that your tire gauges can’t inflate.
Properly inflating your tires can improve gas mileage by 3%. Of course, many people already keep their tires properly inflated, and many more are at least close to being properly inflated. Let’s be generous and assume that one-half of the total possible savings would be realized if we all inflated our tires properly; that’s a net gain of 1.5% fuel efficiency.
Americans drive approximately 2,880 miles per year. If we average 24 mpg, we use around 120 billion gallons of gasoline in our vehicles. If, through perfect tire inflation, we improved our collective fuel efficiency by 1.5%, that would be 1.8 billion gallons. A barrel of oil produces around 20 gallons of gasoline, so the total savings available through tire inflation is approximately 90,000,000 barrels of oil annually.
How does this stack up against “all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling?”
ANWR: 10 billion barrels
Outer Continental Shelf: 18 billion barrels (estimated; the actual total is undoubtedly much higher, since exploration has been banned)
Oil shale: 1 trillion barrels
So, on the above assumptions, it would take only 11,308 years of proper tire inflation to equal “all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling.”

Along with soaring oil prices, add into the mix soaring food prices, partly due to pushing biofuels, and you have the makings of another perfect storm. A storm which George Soros intends to profit from.
Georgie’s mechanism for pushing prices up is typified by his recent acquisition of all the commodities trading and merchandising business of the giant multi-national ConAgra Foods. This acquisition was made by a private investment fund managed by Soros Fund Management LLC, acting as part of a consortium with New York hedge fund Ospraie Management and New York asset manager General Atlantic. The $2.8 billion deal is estimated as the largest acquisition ever by a hedge fund.
The agreement includes 144 ConAgra facilities, located primarily in North America. Renamed Gavilon, the new company provides physical distribution and merchandising of grains, feed ingredients, fertilizer, and energy products; as well as agriculture, energy, and other commodity trading activities, and “risk management services” — i.e., commodity futures derivatives speculation.
It doesn’t stop there. It goes without saying that Georgie is right in there pushing biofuels. Another string to the bow, the biofuels insanity is a strategy that even the greenies don’t want. The ConAgra operations provide “procurement and marketing services” for ethanol and bio-diesel producers, supply chain infrastructure, as well as financial hedging. (source)
If you are wondering how America has willingly moved this close to the precipice, well, it’s been in the works quite a long time. While all of us were enjoying the bounty of the American dream, the elites have been orchestrating a world order where such bounty will come under their control - along with the rest of us. The threat of environmental catastrophe to further the population control agenda is nothing new and continues to this day with the manmade global warming scare. Back in the 1970’s the Club of Rome was not shy at using the environmental catastrophe card to push for population control

Two imminent surveys of meteorologists may further complicate the climate debate. […] “[Y]ou know, there was some great power in that movement back in January of 2007,” Spann said. “It’s pretty rapidly running out of gas and it just seems like every day more and more people are coming out with the fact that that’s pretty much a hoax. And these are Ph.D climatologists that are pretty much saying what I said all along.”
In January 2007, Spann received national attention when he wrote a post on his blog challenging a post by The Weather Channel climate expert Dr. Heidi Cullen. Cullen had argued that meteorologists should have the American Meteorological Society (AMS) credentials taken away if they doubt the validity of manmade climate change. “If a meteorologist can’t speak to the fundamental science of climate change, then maybe the AMS shouldn’t give them a Seal of Approval,” Cullen wrote for Weather.com on Dec. 21, 2006. Spann fired back on Jan. 18, 2007: “Well, well,” Spann wrote. “Some ‘climate expert’ on ‘The Weather Channel’ wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for ‘tolerance’, huh?” Spann claimed at the time he didn’t know any broadcast meteorologists who were sold on the theory touted by global warming alarmists.

And that $845 BILLION global tax is in addition to our nation’s current Foreign Aid programs, which, in 2006, cost American taxpayers about $300 BILLION!
