Why do people think home ownership has always been called the American Dream? Not American Entitlement, not American Freebie, but DREAM – something for which you strive, not something that one is given. But the socialists that are rising out of America’s  soil like a blight of poisonous weeds seem to think differently. Obama has been playing a siren song that has summoned greed from the heart of a beast most of us didn’t know skulked about in this country. But the lefties knew and they have been cultivating and breeding those skulking souls into ACORN and one such ACORN is Donna Pearce. I ran into this comment listing some of Donna’s stellar performances..

She can be seen posing with Senator Chris Dodd at Acorn headquarters,  another picture of her can be seen in this original NY Times article. Donna is a grandmother living in a 2 bedroom condo in bridgeport. You can see in the picture she is starting her grandson out very young in the ways of political activism. Donna’s story was a centerpiece of Chris Dodd’s Op Ed on May 17th 2008. Her story was even covered on ABC World news tonight, but an elderly White woman was used as a stand in for Donna Pearce so as to be politically correct and avoid painting black people as dead beats who default on mortgages. (Link) Donna has even been used by the Ct AG Dick Blumenthal named as a victim in legal complaints against ‘predatory lending‘. However, in an article “liars into victims” points out that in reality Donna Pearce appears to have lied about her income on mortgage applications…that in signing her mortgage agreement she had to sign off on the income stated on the papers. What these stories also show is that the mob protesting outside of private citizens was most likely rented by none other Chris Dodd Himself as a form of damage control for his contemptful decision to author and vote for the bonus amendment. It is also worth noting the AG Dick Blumenthal has taken the bonus fight to the local level seeking legal action against the AIG executives…These strong personal connections of Chris Dodd to the AIG mob participants suggest the confidentiality of the bonus recipients was violated by Congress. This state sponsored harassment of private citizens convicts the entire democratic congress of a grotesque act of open fascism unlike any seen in my lifetime . It rises to a level of vulgarity equal to the German scapegoating of jewish bankers. via fallout of subprime loans.

ACORN, the masters of voter fraud, the key culprits in the housing boondoggle, Obama’s army of trained Poverty Pimps Extraordinaire, and recipient of billions of bail out money. Change.

ACORN has been involved in rampant voter registration fraud across the nation this election cycle and is actively supporting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama for president. “Our partnership with Election Protection will play a major role in NBC News’ ‘Making Your Vote Count’ coverage, said Phil Alongi, Executive Producer of NBC News’ Election Coverage in an Oct. 22 press release. “Not only will we be able to direct voters who are experiencing problems with a hotline to call, we will also have our team of reporters and producers follow-up on the information Election Protection is gathering.” When asked for comment about ACORN’s role in the project MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines wrote Townhall in an email “this a question for them, not us.”

The suit is brought under the Ohio Corrupt Practices Act, a state law similar to the federal RICO act. Among its factual assertions are these developed in Congressional hearings: * From 2004-2006 ACORN has received $4.6 million in federal funds for its Housing Corporation. * ACORN has 150 subsidiary organizations with a total operating budget of over $110 million this year. * All the 150 subsidiaries operate from the top as a single enterprise, including the nonprofit Project Vote and the political operation known as Citizens Services. * Citizens Services has endorsed Barack Obama and has received over $832,000 from Obama’s campaign during the primary period for services. * ACORN and Citizen’s Services share the same board of directors. They also share office space in New Orleans. The suit documents numerous instances of in-state predicate acts, including the following: * Forgery, uttering forged documents, tampering with writings and records. * Harassing people to encourage them to register multiple times; bribing people to register multiple times; registering non-existent and clearly ineligible voters (like minors); registering the same person in multiple counties; providing fraudulent and forged documents. The suit documents numerous predicate acts committed by ACORN outside Ohio as well, specifically in Nevada, Indiana, Missouri, Colorado, Vrginia, Washington, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina. Twenty-five residents of a Gainesville neighborhood woke up this morning to discover their homes had been spray-painted with an obscene comment about the 2008 presidential race. Several businesses were hit as well.

“This is clear voter intimidation,” Corey A. Stewart, At-Large Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, said. “The residents targeted by these hoodlums all had McCain for President yard signs in their front yards.”

That March, House Speaker Newt Gingrich was scheduled to address a meeting of county commissioners at the Washington Hilton. But, first, some 500 protesters from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) poured into the ballroom from both the kitchen and the main entrance.

Hotel staffers who tried to block them were quickly overwhelmed by demonstrators chanting, “Nuke Newt!” and “We want Newt!” Jamming the aisles, carrying bullhorns and taunting the assembled county commissioners, demonstrators swiftly took over the head table and commandeered the microphone, sending two members of Congress scurrying.

The demonstrators’ target, Gingrich, hadn’t yet arrived – and his speech was cancelled. When the cancellation was announced, ACORN’s foot soldiers cheered.

The “Death of American Business Act”

n a less remarkable time, an issue which might be leading the discussion and which more voters should be paying attention to today, is the Employee Free Choice Act (“EFCA, H.R.800), sponsored by the union’s best friend in the House of Representatives, George Miller (D-CA), whose donor list is a who’s-who of “International Brotherhoods”, “Associations of Workers”, and “Political Leagues”.

The EFCA, also called “Card Check”, allows unions to force a workplace to be unionized by public signing of voting cards by workers, complete with the pressure or overt threats which one might expect union organizers to bring against hesitant workers.

A secret ballot is an absolutely fundamental principle in America’s labor system. Under EFCA, that goes away, at great peril to businesses and their employees alike.

The Heritage Foundation calculates that EFCA “would disenfranchise 105 million workers.”

ACORN Whistleblowers Expose More Fraud

Nothing like getting the information straight from the horses mouth. According to Newsmax, four former employees of ACORN and of ACORN Housing Corp. have supplied sworn affidavits to the Consumer Rights League that provide eyewitness accounts of how the two organizations have commingled funds and resources, in apparent violation of federal law. By commingling the funds it is not only using government funds to push its liberal political agenda, but also it provided a smoke screen for some ACORN leaders to line their own pockets with your tax dollars.

# AHC employees were instructed to hide documents from federal auditors with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD.

# AHC employees were instructed on “steering” loans to partner banks, including Chase (for loans in the New Orleans area) and Bank of America for other areas around the country.

# AHC National Field Director Lee Trujillo stated in the presence of several of these witnesses that “AHC and ACORN would be funded out of the same account.”

# AHC and ACORN have also shared “voter initiative money.”

# Internal AHC emails and other documents “clearly show that AHC is paying for lease space occupied by ACORN.”

Delusional Democrats DARE to Accuse the Right of Hate Mongering

Throughout this post I borrow heavily from the incomparable Zombietime collection of protest photos to demonstrate the absolute absurdity, hypocrisy and abysmal deceitfulness of current democratic claims that recent crowds at Palin events constitute dangerous and hate mongering politics.

CNN contributor David Gergen, who has advised Democratic and Republican presidential administrations, said Thursday that the negative tone of these rallies is “incendiary” and could lead to violence.

“There is this free floating sort of whipping around anger that could really lead to some violence. I think we’re not far from that,” he said. “I think it’s really imperative that the candidates try to calm people down.” (Source)

True to their MO, we see here on a grand scale the Progressive’s psychopathic exercise of projection, a practice  that liberals execute with unceasing predictability.
Where were these guardians of civil discourse and respectful politics when their side gave awards for a movie depicting a Bush assassination?

By unanimous vote of a five-member jury of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), despite having received “largely negative reviews.”

FIPRESCI’s general secretary insists there was nothing political about their decision, and that in fact the film “irritated us a lot.” On what basis, then, did they award it a prize?

“…distorts reality to reveal a larger truth.” Isn’t that always the way with liberals? Their vaunted “larger truth” – a truth as far removed from reality as the distortions that they use to support it. Much like Dan Rather’s “fake but accurate” used to defend his perfidy.

Where was their outcry for civility when a play produced another assassination scenario?

On the heels of last year’s “documentary” by Gabriel Range concocting an assassination of President Bush in “Death of A President,” Bill Hutchinson of the New York Daily News reported a new play in the Big Apple that also treads along the Bush-assassination theme. The playwright’s thinly disguised Bush-resembling fictional president gets “whacked like Julius Caesar by a confidant.”

A FAMED CITY theater group is inviting controversy by staging a play in which a character thinly veiled as President Bush gets assassinated. “President and Man” begins a five-day run at The Duke on 42nd St. tonight as one of eight one-act plays staged by the Naked Angels Theater Company, whose members include Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Conservatives are already panning it as another sick liberal jab at the President. (Source)

That one person at a recent McCain rally called out “kill him” – someone I personally suspect may have been an Obama goon squad plant – should somehow be construed as beyond the pale is laughable when those accusations come from the side who have had wet dreams about the deaths of Bush and Cheney for eight years. But oh, now we have Soros’s tactics in play, the old race card, as enunciated by the pathetic John Lewis

Comedian Sandra Bernhard isn’t laughing about a woman’s shelter in Boston canceling her speaking engagement over an attack she made on Sarah Palin. Bernhard made a crude remark about Palin becoming a victim of rape but she insists her comments were only about abortion and taken out of context. Bernhard’s initial comments came in a one-woman stand up show Bernhard did last month in Washington, D.C. During the event, Bernhard said Palin would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” and the comments came in a diatribe against Palin’s pro-life views….

RNC Announces New Security Measures Following Violence & Vandalism

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 — Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan released the following statement today in response to attacks against Republican volunteers and supporters, and acts of vandalism against Republican Victory centers.

“There is no place for violence, vandalism, or intimidation in politics. As a result of violence against Republican volunteers and supporters, and acts of vandalism against Republican Victory centers, the RNC has redirected funds previously allocated for get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts — totaling at least two millions dollars — for 24-hour security at volunteer centers across the country. We are making this investment in protective security because our staff and volunteers deserve to know they are safe as they work to elect the next President of the United States.

“I am appalled that the RNC must take this action. The fraudulent activities of ACORN combined with thuggish behavior of intimidation, violence, and vandalism on the part of others are clear signs that our opponents don’t believe in free and fair elections.

Hundreds of Demonstrators Rally Outside Palin Fundraiser near San Francisco

Sarah Palin flew into San Francisco to attend a GOP fundraiser on October 5 but did not speak publicly and won’t be staying a minute longer than necessary to collect money in the bay area. Several hundred angry protesters gathered in front of the Hyatt-Regency Hotel in Burlingame, adjacent to the San Francisco airport, to demonstrate their displeasure with the GOP platform. Following the vice-presidential candidates recent debate with Democratic candidate Joe Biden, many protesters’ signs referred to Palin as an outright liar. Others took issue with her extremist views on abortion. The California Democratic Party sent invitations to area party members to “Greet Sarah Palin” in protest, but representatives of groups World Can’t Wait and the Raging Grannies outperformed the more staid Democrats with colorful costumes, props and chants.

Environmental activists dressed as wolves howled in pain while union members led chants from a flatbed truck. Veterans for Peace members from chapters 101 (San Jose and SF Peninsula) and 69 (San Francisco) mocked the Republican McCain ticket campaign poster by adding the tag line “War Without End” and “Give Us Several Trillion Dollars” to their signs.

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.”

And now we read, in The New York Post, today:

Two Ohio voters, including Domino’s pizza worker Christopher Barkley , claimed yesterday that they were hounded by the community-activist group ACORN to register to vote several times, even though they made it clear they’d already signed up.

Barkley estimated he’d registered to vote “10 to 15″ times after canvassers for ACORN, whose political wing has endorsed Barack Obama, relentlessly pursued him and others.

Claims such as his have sparked election officials to probe ACORN.

“I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register,” Barkley said. “They’d ask me if I was registered. I’d say yes, and they’d ask me to do it [register] again.

“Some of them were getting paid to collect names. That was their sob story, and I bought it,” he said.

Barkley is one of at least three people who have been subpoenaed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections as part of a wider inquiry into possible voter fraud by ACORN. The group seeks to register low-income voters, who skew overwhelmingly Democratic.

“You can tell them you’re registered as many times as you want – they do not care,” said Lateala Goins, 21, who was subpoenaed. “They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter,” she told The Post.

Acorn’s tactics are famously “in your face.” Just think of Code Pink’s well-known operations (threatening to occupy congressional offices, interrupting the testimony of General David Petraeus) and you’ll get the idea. Acorn protesters have disrupted Federal Reserve hearings, but mostly deploy their aggressive tactics locally. Chicago is home to one of its strongest chapters, and Acorn has burst into a closed city council meeting there. Acorn protestors in Baltimore disrupted a bankers’ dinner and sent four busloads of profanity-screaming protestors against the mayor’s home, terrifying his wife and kids. Even a Baltimore city council member who generally supports Acorn said their intimidation tactics had crossed the line.

Acorn, however, defiantly touts its confrontational tactics. While Stern himself notes this, the point is driven home sharper still in an Acorn-friendly reply to Stern entitled “Enraging the Right.” Written by academic/activists John Atlas and Peter Dreier, the reply’s avowed intent is to convince Acorn-friendly politicians, journalists, and funders not to desert the organization in the wake of Stern’s powerful critique. The stunning thing about this supposed rebuttal is that it confirms nearly everything Stern says. Do Atlas and Dreier object to Stern’s characterizations of Acorn’s radical plans — even his slippery-slope warnings about Acorn’s designs on basic freedom of movement? Nope. “Stern accurately outlines Acorn’s agenda,” they say.

Do Atlas and Dreier dismiss Stern’s catalogue of Acorn’s disruptive and intentionally intimidating tactics as a set of regrettable exceptions to Acorn’s rule of civility? Not a chance. Atlas and Dreier are at pains to point out that intimidation works. They proudly reel off the increased memberships that follow in the wake of high-profile disruptions, and clearly imply that the same public officials who object most vociferously to intimidation are the ones most likely to cave as a result. What really upsets Atlas and Dreier is that Stern misses the subtle national hand directing Acorn’s various local campaigns. This is radicalism unashamed.

There best not ever be a Progressive “getting in my face”. I shall make their asinine accusations come true in a manner that they will not in the least bit enjoy. To be sure, I loathe the Marxists creeping in under the banner of Obama, and I will not apologize for it. But at least I have the freaking integrity to confess it, while they wallow in their absurd pretensions of enlightenment. Let their enlightenment be damned to the hell from which it issues.

John Boehmer Stands Up to ACORN, John McCain Kisses Obama’s Ass

I can only say that John Boehmer is one of the few Republicans left who have stones. John McCain certainly doesn’t. I am dismayed and appalled that John McCain has the freaking temerity to demand respect for Barack Obama while that *$#@** is closely associated with the very organization that is not only responsible for our current housing debacle, but will see to it that this election is stolen out from under McCain’s feet. Not to mention the rabid behavior of Democrats not only during this campaign but for the last eight years.

I have long suspected McCain has no intention of winning. His affiliations with Soros have long perturbed me. Soros has little to lose if McCain becomes his Oval Office stooge. I have repeatedly stated here as well as in emails to his office that whatever balls McCain may have owned were left in the POW camp he was tortured in. What damn good was it for him to stand up to the enemy in Viet Nam if he all but concedes the election to the enemy within, Barack Hussein Obama.

Screw you John McCain and God help you John Boehmer and those few in our government who retain an ounce of character.

So Bohmer is going after ACORN. Great, but I fear it is a little too late. If Obama gets in he’ll squelch any and every investigation, and based on his behavior during this campaign, he’ll silence any media that actually might have the courage to investigate it.

Boehner declares war on ACORN

Congressional Republicans have finally demanded an end to federal funding for ACORN after more than a dozen states have opened investigations into fraud in their voter-registration efforts. House Minority Leader John Boehner has not only called to end that funding for ACORN but also for all federal candidates to stop contracting with ACORN while investigations continue into their business practices:

House Republican leader John A. Boehner of Ohio escalated the war on ACORN today, calling for it to be cut off from all federal money and going so far as to call for a ban on ACORN contracting with candidates for federal office.

ACORN, a community organizing group allied with Democrats, has been blamed by the GOP for pushing housing policies that Republicans say contributed to the housing crisis. It has been the subject of investigations for voter registration fraud and its Nevada offices were recently raided. …

ACORN receives federal money through the affordable housing trust fund after that money has been sent to states and local governments. So Congress, to keep the group from getting money, would need to specifically forbid ACORN from being eligible to get federal funds.

“Contracting for services between candidates for federal office and ACORN, as Sen. Obama has done, must end,” says Boehner. “Now that the taxpayers own Fannie Mae, any funding from Fannie Mae’s nonprofit foundation to ACORN must stop.”

To properly understand the potential impact that ACORN’s activities may have on the upcoming and future elections, it is important to understand their structure. In all, ACORN’s massive enterprise includes as many as 150 subsidiary organizations, according to a recent legal filing by members of its board of directors.1 This list includes two affiliated labor union locals, TV and radio broadcast operations, immense housing counseling operations, and
a number of lobbying and political entities. In all, ACORN’s total operation this year has an estimated budget of $110 million.2 That is big business. Thanks to what appears to be a carefully executed plan, the disparate parts of ACORN are often not recognized as being part of one large enterprise. However there is evidence that these organizations are operated as a single enterprise, which is controlled from the top down.
Their practice of juggling funds and blame between entities has often created good deal of confusion as to which crimes are allegedly committed by ACORN and which activities are those of subsidiaries such as the “non-partisan” 501(c)(3) Project Vote. But, it should be noted at the outset of this discussion that evidence indicates that the non-profit organization known as Project Vote and the political operative organization known as Citizens Services Inc.are wholly owned subsidiaries of the ACORN web of organizations.3 There should be no distinction between crimes or alleged crimes perpetrated by personnel from Project Vote and those from ACORN.
Comments the Consumers Rights League has received from current and past ACORN employees demonstrates that command and control of ACORN’s political operations is based in its national headquarters. While many view voter registration problems in different states as a series of random events, it is important that observers not lose sight of the fact that ACORN is a giant corporation potentially responsible for massive fraud across the United States. A careful observer will note a ten-year record of voter registration fraud that spans the contiguous United States. Ten years and five election cycles is not a series of mistakes; it is a pattern.

There IS a RICO investigation of ACORN and the Obama campaign underway – this has now been established by the mainstream media. Right now it’s rumored here in Chicago that Patrick Fitzgerald is heading it (confirmation on that has not come yet). There is a lot of activity in Chicago right now, with a lot of IRS agents looking into the finances coming in and out of this city, and across state lines (this was established on Monday when the GOP issued emergency press releases that much of Obama’s campaign contributions could very well be illegal foreign contributions – what appears to be deliberately poor record keeping designed to hide the true identities and monetary sources of online donors is at issue here). We see in 15 states now that ACORN is being busted for attempted voter fraud, and for fraudulent, illegal voter registratons in the hundreds of thousands, if not a million. The article below states, and we have confirmed this with people who know for sure, that the people who gathered evidence of Obama’s fraud and voter intimidation techniques during the primaries against Hillary Clinton are sharing everything they have with the Republican Party and the federal government.

I don’t know if the time remaining before the election is sufficient to bring Obama down, but one can dream. The blogger quoted above seems to think Obama will fall.

Republicans and centrist Democrats are joined together on this effort to get the truth out about Obama before the November election. We firmly believe in McCain’s victory and do not believe it hinges on any developments with RICO. The polls, in our opinon, are wrong, and the internal numbers we see coming out of NC, VA, PA, OH, IN and FL show McCain wins in all of those states (there is no mathematical possibility for Obama to win without taking PA, OH, or FL). We believe after McCain’s win there will be a continued prosecution of Obama and members of the Democratic party for voter fraud under RICO statutes in the months and years ahead. I Bet He Makes Obama Beam With Pride

A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.

“Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they’ll give me a dollar to sign up,” said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

“The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, ‘You are?’ I say, ‘Yup,’ and then they say, ‘Can you just sign up again?’ ” he said.

Johnson used the same information on all of his registration cards, and officials say they usually catch and toss out duplicate registrations. But the practice sparks fear that some multiple registrants could provide different information and vote more than once by absentee ballot.

ACORN is under investigation in Ohio and at least eight other states – including Missouri, where the FBI said it’s planning to look into potential voter fraud – for over-the-top efforts to get as many names as possible on the voter rolls regardless of whether a person is registered or eligible.

It’s even under investigation in Bridgeport, Conn., for allegedly registering a 7-year-old girl to vote, according to the State Elections Enforcement Commission.

It’s an all-out scramble to scrape up every last unregistered voter sympathetic to Obama’s big-government vision. “Our volume,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe bragged of the voter-registration program, “is going to be enormous.”

Let’s take a look at a quote from a 2004 article – Case Study: Chicago- The Barack Obama Campaign – written Toni Foulkes, a Chicago ACORN Leader, which was published in the journal Social Policy. Did we mention that Social Policy recently pulled this particular article from their website, while leaving links to all articles up?

“Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar (the name of the Republican governor at the time) and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year. Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).

Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office. Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for STate Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends.”

Not only does Foulkes boast of Obama’s ACORN leadership training, but also makes it clear that Obama’s post-law school organizing of “Project VOTE” in 1992 was undertaken in direct partnership with ACORN.

And about that “Marxist New Party” mentioned above?

Co-founded in 1992 by Daniel Cantor (a former staffer for Jesse Jackson’s 1988 presidential campaign) and Joel Rogers (a sociology and law professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison), the New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials — most often Democrats. The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party.

Yeah, I feel much better now that I know that addicts are going to be provided for. Maybe they’ll start putting these miscreants in the foreclosed houses that will be sitting empty. I’m just waiting to hear one of these poverty pimps suggest that. So picture that nice, foreclosed, four bedroom colonial sitting, empty, next to your – now devalued – home being turned over to some pooooooor people who have never earned a freaking dime in their life, because it’s all about them you know. Just ask Acorn graduate Obama who must be having wet dreams over this turn of events.

And screw McCain who put his name to this travesty. I have little love for the man anyway, but it seems he left his powder and his balls in Viet Nam, because he ain’t defending American ideals now. What an opportunity for him to say that it is just these types of “progressive” policies that Barack Obama advocates that brought us to this juncture. What an opportunity for him to ask Obama and his band of advising thieves for a show of the dirty hands that they have had in the Fannie Mae pie for over a decade.

What an opportunity, for a real American with a pair of balls to say, enough already.

But it seems we have few real Americans in Washington, Just the spiritually emasculated and the character deprived clowns who are wiping the back of their hands across their greasy, greedy mouths as they feast on the carcass of America.

Indeed, analysts at the Heritage and Cato Institute, and commentators in The Wall Street Journal and on this very page, have made declarations in favour of the massive “injection of liquidities” engineered by central banks in recent months, the government takeover of giant financial institutions, as well as the still stalled US$700-billion bailout package. Some of the same voices were calling for similar interventions following the burst of the dot-com bubble in 2001.
“Whatever happened to the modern followers of my free-market opponents?” Marx would likely wonder.

This morning on a local talk show, several people called in reporting that they were positive some of the “youth” that Obama’s team were recruiting for voter registration were voting more than once. One man overheard a group of teens in his building bragging about it But how can that be? How can you register to vote and actually vote on the same day.

That law went into effect today.

Jennifer Brunner has also directed county boards of elections to deny absentee ballots to thousands of qualified Ohio electors who support Senator John McCain who fail to check a box that was not mandated by Ohio law.

Normally in an election, partisan election monitors are allowed into polling places so that they can police each other. But not in two counties, Franklin and Montgomery, in Ohio. Brunner also issued an advisory opinion to counties saying that they are not required to allow election monitors.

The Obama Campaign GAVE ACORN THIS YEAR APPROXIMATELY $800,000 for use in election registration efforts.

Obama said nothing about this payoff in the bill to ACORN when meeting in Washington last week in the White House. Only McCain did, and if it was not for him, we would have passed that bill, without the changes that were made following the “big Blow UP” in the white house last week, and the American Taxpayer would have funded another behind the scenes payoff to the democratic liberals and Obama, who are all corrupt.

Obama knew all about this payoff and was out telling the American people how NO RICH EXECUTIVE SHOULD GET A DIME, and the AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD BE PROTECTED.

In other words, community organizers help to undermine the US economy by pushing the banking system into a sinkhole of bad loans. And Obama has spent years training and funding the organizers who do it.

THE seeds of today’s financial meltdown lie in the Community Reinvestment Act – a law passed in 1977 and made riskier by unwise amendments and regulatory rulings in later decades.

CRA was meant to encourage banks to make loans to high-risk borrowers, often minorities living in unstable neighborhoods. That has provided an opening to radical groups like ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) to abuse the law by forcing banks to make hundreds of millions of dollars in “subprime” loans to often uncreditworthy poor and minority customers.

John Boehner and the GOP House Plan That Democrats Fear

Contrary to the Obama camp’s accusations of political chicanery, McCain was invited to Washington by none other than Treasury Secretary Paulson.

BOB SCHIEFFER: I am told, Maggie, that the way McCain got involved in this in the first place, the Treasury Secretary was briefing Republicans in the House yesterday, the Republican conference, asked how many were ready to support the bailout plan. Only four of them held up their hands. Paulson then called, according to my sources, Senator Lindsey Graham, who is very close to John McCain, and told him: you’ve got to get the people in the McCain campaign, you’ve got to convince John McCain to give these Republicans some political cover. If you don’t do that, this whole bailout plan is going to fail. So that’s how, McCain, apparently, became involved. (source)

The Dims likely thought that McCain would herd recalcitrant Republicans in line, but it appears that McCain did what he always does – the unexpected. And if the Dim’s disastrous legislation is killed, America can thank John Boehner and McCain’s support of the Republican proposed legislation that will spare us the nightmare that the damnable DemocRATS wanted to shove down our throats.

Boehner and the bailout

It is Boehner who has emerged as the most powerful voice against the rescue package that involves the government buying up toxic debt from financial institutions in an attempt to get the credit markets rolling again. And Boehner has met with Republican nominee John McCain, leading some to wonder if he and McCain are working in tandem to kill the deal that seemed amenable to Democrats and some Senate Republicans.

But Boehner is simply representing the wishes of the majority of his House Republican Conference, conservatives to whom the bailout is anathema, says one GOP consultant familiar with Boehner and House Republicans. And if the bailout package has angered many Americans who see it as rescuing greedy Wall Street executives and don’t necessarily buy the necessity or threat to the overall economy talked about by Bush, it is especially unpopular in the districts of conservative Republicans, said this consultant, who spoke only on condition of anonymity.

“This is by no means John Boehner (alone) trying torpedo this thing,” the GOP consultant said. “This is Boehner taking the concerns of his conference to this mediation. If anything, he is probably underrepresenting the negative sentiment among his members about this.”

Will House Republicans Get What They Want?

Representative Jeb Hensarling of Texas, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee who is one of the most vocal critics of the administration’s plan, has been urging lawmakers to slow down and consider alternative proposals.

“We have a lot of folks who say we are looking at financial catastrophe on the one hand, but we may be looking at national bankruptcy and the road to socialism on the other,” Mr. Hensarling said in an interview on Wednesday. “Once you lose your freedom to fail, you also lose your freedom to succeed and you cease to be a free society. So we will continue to look at other alternatives.”

The Republican presidential candidate, Senator John McCain, was at least willing to listen.

“There was no deal or offer yesterday that had a majority of support in Congress,” a McCain campaign statement issued on Friday said. “There was no deal yesterday that included adequate protections for the taxpayers.”

The GOP Plan

Here’s the bullet points directly from the House GOP plan:

* Rather than providing taxpayer funded purchases of frozen mortgage assets, we should adopt a mortgage insurance approach to solve the problem.

* Currently the federal government insures approximately half of all mortgage backed securities. (MBS) We can insure the rest of current outstanding MBS; however, rather than taxpayers funding insurance, the holders of these assets should pay for it. Treasury Department can design a system to charge premiums to the holders of MBS to fully finance this insurance.

* Have Private Capital Injection to the Financial Markets, Not Tax Dollars. Instead of injecting taxpayer capital into the market to produce liquidity, private capital can be drawn into the market by removing regulatory and tax barriers that are currently blocking private capital formation. Too much private capital is sitting on the sidelines during this crisis.

* Temporary tax relief provisions can help companies free up capital to maintain operations, create jobs, and lend to one another. In addition, we should allow for a temporary suspension of dividend payments by financial institutions and other regulatory measures to address the problems surrounding private capital liquidity.

*Immediate Transparency, Oversight, and Market Reform. Require participating firms to disclose to Treasury the value of their mortgage assets on their books, the value of any private bids within the last year for such assets, and their last audit report.

* Wall Street Executives should not benefit from taxpayer funding. Call on the SEC to review the performance of the Credit Rating Agencies and their ability to accurately reflect the risks of these failed investment securities.

*Create a blue ribbon panel with representatives of Treasury, SEC, and the Fed to make recommendations to Congress for reforms of the financial sector by January 1, 2009.

Schumer: McCain Is ‘Not Helping’

During a speech on the Senate floor this morning, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D) urged President Bush to “respectfully tell Sen. McCain to get out of town. He’s not helping.”

Schumer also requested that Bush get the his House Republicans in line. “We need President Bush to take leadership. We need President Bush, first and foremost, to get the Republican House members to support his plan or modify it in some way to bring them on board,” he said. (source)

Here are just a couple of the reasons why the execrable Schumer wanted McCain to “get out of town” when he didn’t play the game. The several posts prior to this one provide many other reasons that this “bailout” must fail.

The Democratic ACORN bailout

The real purpose of section D is to send more funds to La Raza and ACORN through housing welfare, via the slush fund of the HTF. They want to float their political efforts on behalf of Democrats with public money, which was always the purpose behind the HTF. They did the same thing in April in the first bailout bill, setting aside $100 million in “counseling” that went in large part to ACORN and La Raza, and at least in the former case, providing taxpayer funding for a group facing criminal charges in more than a dozen states for fraud.

It’s bad enough that taxpayers have to pay the price for Congress’ decade-long distortions of the lending and investment markets. If we realize a profit from the bailout, that money should go to pay down the debt or get returned to taxpayers as dividends from their investment — not to organizations committing voter fraud, and not to restarting the entire cycle of government meddling in lending markets. I’d support a rational bailout package, but anything that funds the HTF needs to get stopped.

Global Poverty Act: Revenge of the Community Organizers

A better name for Barack Obama’s Global Poverty Act (S.2433, based on H.R. 1302) might be Revenge of the Community Organizers.

The Global Poverty Act requires that the President craft a U.S. foreign policy aimed at reducing global poverty by one-half the number of people worldwide between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.

To do so, it taxes the entire United States economy (our GDP) at a rate of nearly one percent.

The law refers directly to a United Nations declaration called the Millenium Development Goal, which calls “for a ‘redistribution (of) wealth and land,’ cancellation of ‘the debts of developing countries’ and ‘a fair distribution of the earth’s resources.’”

It effects a “tax on the rental value of land and natural resources,” a “royalty on worldwide fossil energy production – oil, natural gas, coal,” “fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels.”

What it translates to is the surrender of U.S. sovereignty to the U.N., an organization generally quite hostile to our interests.

It seems a tad ironic that Obama would levy such an astoundingly high tax on Americans when CNN reports that his own brother lives on a dollar a day in a Kenyan slum.

Obama’s Immigration Bill Includes Funding For Leftist Groups to Organize Immigrant Communities

Marinka Peschmann reported at Canada Free Press on Barack Obama’s immigration bill that will soon come up for a vote in the US Senate.

Obama put his community organizing skills to work on this one. He must have learned a few things from all of those years working with Bill Ayers. The bill would give millions to (Leftist) groups to organize immigrants politically.

Peschmann reported:

The Citizenship Promotion Act, S. 795’s, primary goal is “to assist aliens who have been lawfully admitted to becoming citizens of the United States.” It does not provide funding to secure the borders or assist in the USCIS’s quest towards efficiency or its capabilities to root out corruption. Instead, Obama’s bill will organize the immigrant community by allotting U.S. $80 million for outreach programs targeted at immigrants and future voters.

In Section 6 of Obama’s bill, costing U.S. $80 million, the Secretary of Homeland Security would “award grants,” to “not for profit organizations” with “experience working with immigrant communities” to “carry out outreach activities,” including teaching English, providing education and citizenship classes, plus provide legal assistance” to applicable aliens towards citizenship and the right to vote. Typically, studies show that immigrant voters vote Democrat.

If passed into law, organizations seeking Obama’s grant eligibility must show, how they plan “to leverage available private and State and local government resources;” their experience “in carrying out the activities, including the number of aliens and geographic regions served; and, …[how] to employ best practices developed by adult educators, State and local governments, and community organizations.” The Secretary of Homeland Security would also “develop outreach materials” such as “public service announcements; advertisements…other media…” to “encourage” applicable aliens to become U.S. citizens.

The Secretary of Homeland Security serves at the pleasure of the President; if elected that would be Obama.

Kill the bailout: More ACORN funding?!

Just heard from several readers that Lindsay Grahamnesty told Fox that the Mother of All Bailouts includes a reported $100 million more in funding for the left-wing housing entitlement thugs and heavily tax-subsidized fraudsters at ACORN. Under the original bailout proposal, apparently, a large portion of any repayment of the $700 billion would go to Barack Obama’s good friends at ACORN with a smaller allocation to debt repayment. Readers heard him say it was 20 percent.

Meanwhile, the watchdog Consumer Rights League testified on the Hill this week about rampant ACORN fraud:

Behind the Mortgage Meltdown

Here is another way the Latino immigrants take the housing market down. One immigrant buys a single-family property, for which the payments are way beyond what is affordable. Then several other families move in with them and help to make the mortgage payments. (This is against zoning regulations, but these are not enforced by politically correct public officials pandering for the immigrant vote.) One family lives in the dining room, another in the living room, and each of the bedrooms becomes home to an entire family.

Once this happens to several homes on a street, the resulting mess and litter begin to depress property values. Maintenance is neglected and the immigrants’ homes become shabby. So the legitimate homeowners are the first to suffer, as their neighborhood begins to look like a third world country and housing values decline.

I can not urge you enough to read Melanie Phillip’s Revolution You Can Believe In, a dissection of what Barack Hussein Obama’s community organizing actually served to do. Far from some benign outreach to the poor and young, it was no more than another chapter in this Marxist’s malignant vision for a broken and castrated America. Below find a few excerpts, but damn, you simply have to read the entire piece. It will chill you to the bone.

…in the world of Barack Obama, community organisers are a key strategy in a different game altogether; and the name of that game is revolutionary Marxism.

The seditious role of the community organiser was developed by an extreme left intellectual called Saul Alinsky. He was a radical Chicago activist who, by the time he died in 1972, had had a profound influence on the highest levels of the Democratic party. Alinsky was a ‘transformational Marxist’ in the mould of Antonio Gramsci, who promoted the strategy of a ‘long march through the institutions’ by capturing the culture and turning it inside out as the most effective means of overturning western society. And by ‘change’, he meant a Marxist revolution achieved by slow, incremental, Machiavellian means which turned society inside out. This had to be done through systematic deception, winning the trust of the naively idealistic middle class by using the language of morality to conceal an agenda designed to destroy it. And the way to do this, he said, was through ‘people’s organisations’.

The organizer, he said, ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people; fan the latent hostilities to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act.’[40] The organizer’s function, he added, was ‘to agitate to the point of conflict’[41] and ‘to maneuver and bait the establishment so that it will publicly attack him as a “dangerous enemy.” ‘[42] ‘The word ‘enemy,’ said Alinsky, ‘is sufficient to put the organizer on the side of the people’;[43] i.e., to convince members of the community that he is so eager to advocate on their behalf, that he has willingly opened himself up to condemnation and derision.

Obama’s connection with Alinsky, whom he never met but whom he reportedly idolised, was through two bodies promoting the Alinsky model of community organisation, ACORN and the Gamaliel Foundation.  John Perazzo again:

Obama was trained by the Alinsky-founded Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in Chicago and worked for an affiliate of the Gamaliel Foundation, whose modus operandi for the creation of ‘a more just and democratic society’ is rooted firmly in the Alinsky method. As The Nation magazine puts it, ‘Obama worked in the organizing tradition of Saul Alinsky, who made Chicago the birthplace of modern community organizing…’  In fact, for several years Obama himself taught workshops on the Alinsky method.

If anyone should doubt Obama’s debt to Saul Alinsky, they might ponder this encomium from no less an authority than Alinsky’s own son. In a letter to the Boston Globe, L. David Alinsky wrote of his father’s influence at the Democratic Convention:

All the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.

Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.

Let me clarify something. Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors’ lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Obama’s brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.

What deserves derision is “community organizing” that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.

Obama’s community organizing days involved training grievance-mongers from the far-left ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). The ACORN mob is infamous for its bully tactics (which they dub “direct actions”); Obama supporters have recounted his role in organizing an ambush on a government planning meeting about a landfill project opposed by Chicago’s minority lobbies.

With benefactors like Obama in office, ACORN has milked nearly four decades of government subsidies to prop up chapters that promote the welfare state and undermine the free market, as well as some that have been implicated in perpetuating illegal immigration and voter fraud.

The group continues to garner scrutiny from law enforcement.

Last week, Milwaukee’s top election official announced plans to seek criminal investigations of 37 ACORN employees accused of offering gifts to sign up voters (including prepaid gas cards and restaurant cards) or falsifying driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers or other information on voter registration cards.

Last month, a New Mexico TV station reported on the child rapists, drug offenders and forgery convicts on ACORN’s payroll. In July, Pennsylvania investigators asked the public for help in locating a fugitive named Luis R. Torres-Serrano, who is accused “of submitting more than 100 fraudulent voter registration forms he collected on behalf of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now to county election officials.” Also in July, a massive, nearly $1 million embezzlement scheme by top ACORN officials was exposed.

ACORN’s political arm endorsed Obama in February and has ramped up efforts to register voters across the country. Meantime, completely ignored by the mainstream commentariat and clean-election crusaders, the Obama campaign admitted failing to report $800,000 in campaign payments to ACORN. They were disguised as payments to a front group called “Citizen Services Inc.” for “advance work.”

Irrefutable evidence indicates that Obama’s campaign has been doing business with CSI, which appears to have been operating fraudulently in the State of Maryland and Ohio, and ACORN, which has been associated with a laundry list of fraudulent business practices. The full nature of the relationship between ACORN and Citizens Services Inc. is not known but this much is clear: both share the same address in New Orleans and officials with CSI refer folks to ACORN for questions about “political consulting” and “Get-Out-The-Vote” activities. Indeed Obama has a long history of working with ACORN in his community organizing days in Chicago. A subsidiary of ACORN, Citizens Services Inc (CSI), is part of what John Fund of the Wall Street Journal calls “Obama’s Liberal Shock Troops”.

For example, a search for ACORN at the 1024 Elysian Fields Avenue address in New Orleans uncovers at least 70 different organizations operating out of that front. One of these, Citizens Services Inc, has received almost $1 million dollars from Barack Obama’s campaign in the last five months….

ACORN fraud expands beyond elections

Barack Obama’s ACORN is part of the problem. Involved in voter registration fraud and embezzlement, ACORN also bears some responsibility for the housing crash.

ACORN’s “victories” often have harmed rather than helped their intended beneficiaries. ACORN-sponsored community groups, for instance, regularly have invoked the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 in their attempts to block bank acquisitions and mergers with flimsy charges of mortgage lending “discrimination.” The current mortgage meltdown, especially in the subprime market, in large measure owes to lenders responding to pressure to increase loan volumes to barely qualified or outright unqualified borrowers, many of whom now have lost their homes.

We have evidence of voter registration fraud in Wisconsin, Townhall recalls Obama supporter McCaskill in Missouri (remember):

In 2006, for example, ACORN members engaged in vote fraud in several states, especially Missouri. In that state’s Senate race, Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill defeated Republican incumbent James Talent by about a 50,000-vote margin. A sizable portion of that margin was attributable to ACORN organizers submitting phony or at least suspicious voter-registration cards to election officials in the St. Louis and Kansas City metro areas. Several ACORN members in Kansas City were indicted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office just prior to Election Day, and eventually pleaded guilty. Rathke, not one for subtlety, called City of St. Louis election officials “slop buckets” when they questioned the veracity of ACORN-submitted forms. And who was Missouri state auditor during 2006? That would be Claire McCaskill.

Frisco foundation head repays $1 million embezzlement

The head of a foundation that has funneled millions to liberal causes anonymously repaid $1 million embezzled from one of the organizations the foundation financially supports.

The New York Times reported Sunday that Drummond Pike secretly agreed to replace the money embezzled from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or Acorn. Pike is chief executive of the San Francisco-based Tides Foundation.

According to the Times, Pike was aiding Wade Rathke, the Acorn founder and a Tides Foundation board member, when he decided to buy the promissory note requiring the Rathke family to repay money taken by Rathke’s brother, Dale.

Acorn discovered the embezzlement in 2000, but did not alert law enforcement officials. Acorn’s management committee instead negotiated an agreement to have the Rathke family pay back the stolen funds.

Barack Obama and the “New Party”, Acorn, and Other Various Leftist Vermin

I, like thousands of bloggers, it would seem, have been tracking down all of Obama’s little Marxist/Commie/Socialist playmates. I was scouting out his relationship with self-declared Socialist Bernie Sanders – more on that later – and in doing so, ran into this piece describing Obama’s brief relationship with something called the “New Party”. While reading, you’ll find the group ACORN referenced. Please, also read a thorough examination of Obama’s intimate ties with that group, by Stanley Kurtz – Inside Obama’s Acorn.

Americans drink, eat, and breathe freedom from birth. Obama aims to change that, let there be no doubt. The following will give you an idea of the kind of politics Obama plays.

The New Party

• Endorsed Barack Obama for Illinois state senate seat in 1996

Co-founded in 1992 by Daniel Cantor (a former staffer for Jesse Jackson‘s 1988 presidential campaign) and Joel Rogers (a sociology and law professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison), the New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials — most often Democrats. The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party.

Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN. The party’s Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence, a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, Trotskyists, and Communist Party USA members.

The New Party’s modus operandi included the political strategy of “electoral fusion,” where it would nominate, for various political offices, candidates from other parties (usually Democrats), thereby enabling each of those candidates to occupy more than one ballot line in the voting booth. By so doing, the New Party often was able to influence candidates’ platforms. (Fusion of this type is permitted in seven states — Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, and Vermont — but is common only in New York.)

Though Illinois was not one of the states that permitted electoral fusion, in 1995 Barack Obama nonetheless sought the New Party’s endorsement for his 1996 state senate run. He was successful in obtaining that endorsement, and he used a number of New Party volunteers as campaign workers.

In 1996, three of the four candidates endorsed by the New Party won their electoral primaries. The three victors included Barack Obama (in the 13th State Senate District), Danny Davis (in the 7th Congressional District), and Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in the 7th Subcircuit Court. All four candidates attended an April 11, 1996 New Party membership meeting to express their gratitude for the party’s support.

The New Party’s various chapters similarly helped to elect dozens of other political candidates in a host of American cities.

One of the more notable New Party members was Carl Davidson, a Chicago-based Marxist who became a political supporter of Barack Obama in the mid-1990s.

In 1997 the New Party’s influence declined precipitously after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that electoral fusion was not protected by the First Amendment’s freedom of association clause. By 1998 the party was essentially defunct. Daniel Canto and other key party members went on to establish a new organization with similar ideals, the Working Families Party of New York.
