She hunts. She fishes. She was voted Miss Congeniality after winning a beauty pageant in her small town in Alaska. She is a mother of five and a churchgoer who says her favourite meal is moose stew.

But the quality that may serve Sarah Palin best after being chosen by John McCain as his running mate yesterday may be the competitiveness and determination to win that earned her the name Sarah Barracuda for her sharp elbows as high school basketball player.(Source)

Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, she challenged and defeated the incumbent mayor, criticizing wasteful spending and high taxes.[6] The ex-mayor and sheriff tried to organize a recall campaign, but failed.[6] Palin followed through on her campaign promises to reduce her own salary, and to reduce property taxes by 60%.[6] She ran for reelection against the former mayor in 1999, winning by an even larger margin.[6][11] Palin was also elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.[12]

In 2002, Palin made an unsuccessful bid for Lieutenant Governor, coming in second to Loren Leman in a five-way race in the Republican primary. After Frank Murkowski resigned from his long-held U.S. Senate seat in mid-term to become governor, Palin interviewed to be his possible successor. Murkowski appointed his daughter, then-Alaska State Representative Lisa Murkowski.[6]

Members of Barack Obama’s campaign HQ in Chicago tried to shut down a local radio show on the City’s most powerful radio signal, WGN 720, because they didn’t like a conservative guest that was on going on the air to discuss Senator Barack Obama’s ties to local terrorist William Ayers. This is a shocking attempt at stifling political free speech and a bald attempt to quash debate by the office of the Democratic Party’s nominee. When I first saw this, I thought it likely to be as credible as the allegations by the idiot who claims to have had sex with Obama in a limo or some such nonsense. But it has indeed been confirmed that Frank Marshall Davis is the Frank that Obama speaks so eloquently of in his book. And, as The Telegraph reports, that same Frank Marshall Davis is a confessed, and apparently proud, pervert. (H/T to Porcupine Rim)

Now I know in the world of ReProgressives, Davis’s sexual antics are not likely to be scorned, in fact, too many of the ReProgressive breed count such thinking as acceptable and, well, progressive. Fine and dandy. But I seriously do not want a president who finds value in counsel from such a man, be it political or sexual.

Bill Clinton put his seal of approval to blow-jobs, defining it as an inconsequential form of sexual activity, giving America’s youth a green light to indulge. Since Obama views babies as punishments, has no qualms about executing live babies, and advocates sex ed for kindergarteners, I really, really don’t want to imagine what his sexual parameters are. I suspect they would be just as repugnant as his political parameters.

Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama’s half-sister, told the Associated Press recently that her grandfather had seen Mr Davis was “a point of connection, a bridge if you will, to the larger African-American experience for my brother”.

In his memoir, Mr Obama recounts how he visited Mr Davis on several occasions, apparently at junctures when he was grappling with racial issues, to seek his counsel. At one point in 1979 Mr Davis described university as “an advanced degree in compromise” that was designed to keep blacks in their place.

Mr Obama quoted him as saying: “Leaving your race at the door. Leaving your people behind. Understand something, boy. You’re not going to college to get educated. You’re going there to get trained.”

He added that “they’ll tank on your chain and let you know that you may be a well-trained, well-paid nigger, but you’re a nigger just the same.”

And this is the man who Obama sought counsel from on racial issues? Perhaps he absorbed the man’s sexual ethics as well. Given that he seems to think sex ed for 5 years old is beneficial, one can only wonder.

It has also been established that Mr Davis, who divorced in 1970, was the author of a hard-core pornographic autobiography published in San Diego in 1968 by Greenleaf Classics under the pseudonym Bob Greene.

In a surviving portion of an autobiographical manuscript, Mr Davis confirms that he was the author of Sex Rebel: Black after a reader had noticed the “similarities in style and phraseology” between the pornographic work and his poetry.

“I could not then truthfully deny that this book, which came out in 1968 as a Greenleaf Classic, was mine.” In the introduction to Sex Rebel, Mr Davis (writing as Greene) explains that although he has “changed names and identities…all incidents I have described have been taken from actual experiences”.

He stated that “under certain circumstances I am bisexual” and that he was “ a voyeur and an exhibitionist” who was “occasionally mildly interested in sado-masochism”, adding: “I have often wished I had two penises to enjoy simultaneously the double – but different – sensations of oral and genital copulation.”

The book, which closely tracks Mr Davis’s life in Chicago and Hawaii and the fact that his first wife was black and his second white, describes in lurid detail a series of shockingly sordid sexual encounters, often involving group sex.

One chapter concerns the seduction by Mr Davis and his first wife of a 13-year-old girl called Anne. Mr Davis wrote that it was the girl who had suggested he had sex with her. “I’m not one to go in for Lolitas. Usually I’d rather not bed a babe under 20.

“But there are exceptions. I didn’t want to disappoint the trusting child. At her still-impressionistic age, a rejection might be traumatic, could even cripple her sexually for life.”

He then described how he and his wife would have sex with the girl. “Anne came up many times the next several weeks, her aunt thinking she was in good hands. Actually she was.

“She obtained a course in practical sex from experienced and considerate practitioners rather than from ignorant insensitive neophytes….I think we did her a favour, although the pleasure was mutual.”

On other occasions, Mr Davis would cruise in Hawaii parks looking for couples or female tourists to have sex with. He derived sexual gratification from bondage, simulated rape and being flogged and urinated on.

He boasted that “the number of white babes interested in at least one meeting with a Negro male has been far more than I can handle” and wished “America were as civilised as, say, Scandinavia”. He concluded: “I regret none of my experiences or unusual appetites; for me they are normal.” [ed: all bold mine] (Source)

The convoluted reasoning that justifies the depravity of pedophilia and reduces a black man’s successful entrance into college to one of simply being prepared to be a “well trained nigger” doesn’t suggest that the purveyor of such gutter thinking ought to be sought out for counseling. The fact that Obama even includes the warped fool in his book further confirms for me that Barack Obama is totally alien to American values, not to speak of the Christian values he ludicrously claims to uphold.

Yeah, I can just see the sex ed that would garner acceptance during an Obama administration. It would be like a green light to all the moldy “flower children” and their intellectual spawn currently indoctrinating teaching in our pathetic schools now.

Seldom has it been my misfortune to endure such a loud illogical stream of venom from a public speaker. Al-Mansour must have been an embarrassment to all sane Muslims. Al-Mansour claimed that Muslims were heirs to the greatest civilizations and achievements in history. Muslims had reached America before Columbus was born! The Zimbabwe Ruins had been built by Muslims, as had the Pyramids in Egypt. That the greatest strength of Black culture in Africa was literature. “Reading is our tradition. The slaves from Africa read, read, read.” That before the Whites came to Africa “To steal the land”, Blacks had built “great civilizations that had blast furnaces able to heat up to 1 000°C — making copper and knives and spears. We must rebuild our civilizations!” The first human beings in the world were Africans, he claimed.

Censorship: Barack Obama Flexes His Brown Shirt Muscles

The convention of Mad Marxists proceeds apace and the reknown photographer Zombie is keeping multiple audiences abreast of all of the antics of all the little beasties gathered in Denver. Michelle Obama, I hear, gave a dull and treacly speech, so one imagines that they must have her on a tight leash.

Equally noxious Kennedy idolatry ran rampant while outside the convention walls, on streets braided tightly with police, Michelle Malkin was accosted by frothing-at-the-mouth moonbat Alex Jones, who was screaming, among other absurdities, “Kill Michelle Malkin”. Perhaps he can apply for a job leading Obama’s future Brown Shirts, a role he seems most eminently qualified for.

Perhaps this Alex Jones is a harbinger of what we can expect to be given license from an Obama administration. Barack Obama has clearly signaled that he is not, nor will he be, a friend of free speech.

His “Most Precious” is stamping his feet and demanding the curtailment of the now familiar Ayers ad that suggests that America best give heed to warnings about Obama’s Marxist political roots and ideology.

I’d say Obama is a bit panicked, wouldn’t you? What’cha hiding Barry sweetie?

The Obama campaign is giving a glimpse of the future for conservative free speech. They’re trying to sic the Justice Department on TV stations, many of them Sinclair Broadcasting stations, that are airing the independent ad on Obama and Bill Ayers.

The “progressives” have long had a problem with speech that displeases them. Recall also a similar stunt by the Clintons over the release of the movie “Path to 911″ . In looking for a link to reference that , I run into a more recent account and I was surprised to learn that the 40 million dollar production was never released as a DVD. Now there is a new documentary out that gives insight into the mechanics of the censorship involved.

Remember the controversy over the ABC miniseries “The Path to 9/11″? For some mysterious reason, it has yet to appear on DVD. Why might that be? Now the story is told in a documentary by John Ziegler that is to be screened tonight at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times reports:

["Blocking The Path to 9/11"] makes the case that former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton have pressured television and studio executives into quashing the DVD release of ABC’s 2006 miniseries “The Path to 9/11.” The privately financed documentary argues that the Clintons, who decried the original miniseries as a right-wing hatchet job, are out to salvage their political influence and legacy at the expense of free expression.

We are informed by Andrew Breitbart that John Ziegler “is a really good guy” who understands the power of media bias. Andrew comments:

Countless movies are being made to affect the culture, the election. One was made that tried to play it straight, and because the Clintons pulled a stunt claiming it was a GOP hit job (what if it was?!), the producers were left holding the bag. A movie that was seen by tens of millions, cost $40 million to make and was stunningly photographed and entertaining, cannot make its way to the public via DVD. It’s pathetic and should outrage everyone.

Mr. Senator to use a term like disastrous to describe what President Mugabe means to Zimbabwe…demonstrates that blinded political ambition which makes you feel like you must keep a safe distance from President Mugabe similar in the manner you claim not to identify with Nation Of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan. I believe it was Minister Louis Farrakhan who endorsed your US Presidential bid in February, as well as, more recently, your former Pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Mr. Senator, since Zimbabwe was not on the list of African countries you visited almost two years ago, so what makes you feel you are qualified to recommend what is in the best interest of the people and its government?

Anyone who thinks that kind of ravenous acquisition of resources is a thing of the past should take a close look at the suction China is applying in the sub-Sahara.

China slaughtered 50,000 dogs in a government-ordered crackdown after three people died of rabies, sparking unusually pointed criticism in state media Tuesday and an outcry from animal rights activists.

Health experts said the brutal policy pointed to deep weaknesses in the health care infrastructure in China, where only 3 percent of dogs are vaccinated against rabies and more than 2,000 people die of the disease each year.

The five-day slaughter in Mouding county in Yunnan province in southwestern China ended Sunday and spared only military guard dogs and police canine units, state media reported.

George lives in a 3×3 shanty made of wood scraps and corrugated metal. Obama has a gate to protect his family. George has scars from fights in his Kenyan neighborhood where people are routinely hacked to death with machetes.

Gone to Meetin’: DNC Convention Rev. Wright Style

It’s either that Obama really is an ace at audacity, or he simply doesn’t care. Rev Wright wasn’t good PR for Obama. And most folks, apparently, still want to sweep Wright and his black liberation theology under the rug as if it were some aberration. Much like we are expected to believe it was some egregious case of ADD that allowed Obama to assign his and his family’s spiritual care to a church and pastor for twenty years, yet remain totally oblivious to the heart of the man and institution. Unless, of course, it’s what he believes anyway.

Fallen: The "christian" Left

And that is my conclusion, it has always been my conclusion. Just as Obama judges the muslim call to prayer to be “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth”, black liberation theology offers an ideology that resonates ever so sweetly with Obama’s soul.

And so must it also resonate for John Dean and the DNC. I tell you what, if I were Rev Wright, I’d apply for re-admission on that bus. After all, it was America’s appalled response to black liberation theology that triggered the cowardly embarrassed Obama to shun his pastor. Yet, I have just discovered, Howard Dean’s chief of staff and chief executive in charge of the Denver DNC hullabaloo, Leah Daughtry, turns out to be, unashamedly, pounding on the same Marxist  pulpit as Rev Wright. (The IRS needs to be nosing around in these churches’ books. Seems to me that there is damn too much politicking going on in Sunday meetings.)

Like I said, it’s Gone to Meetin’ time in Denver. Ya’ll gonna get your honkey asses saved from your evil white spirit and you will come to know the glory of Obama – just as soon as you pony up some money for those reparations.

Daughtry is of the same school as Wright, according to the profile the New York Times ran of her on July 20, 2008. As daughter to Herbert Daughtry, Wright’s fellow traveler, Leah Daughtry has preached in her father’s church with its “simple wooden cross hung on a brick wall in the vaulted and sizable sanctuary… [and] below the sanctuary, in the fellowship hall, a banner for slavery reparations proclaimed, ‘They Owe Us.’”

When she speaks about black liberation theology and its author, James Cone, Daughtry’s voice takes on an “extra passion.” Daughtry doesn’t distance herself from Cone’s book “A Black Theology of Liberation” because she thinks Americans are more concerned about “disparities” in American society than they are about ideas dependent for their validity on Malcolm X’s Islamic radicalism.

The excerpts of Daughtry’s “sermon” which the NYT’s Daniel Bergner quotes reflect Wright’s anthropocentric rather than Christocentric sensibility that is the hallmark of liberation theology.

Obama will have no trouble embracing Daughtry. He may have tossed Wright under the bus, but he has never tossed Malcolm X who is the source of the noxious “theology” James Cone created and Jeremiah Wright taught him. He’ll feel right at home.

Yes indeed, if she is cut from the same “christian” cloth as Obama, she’s a fine fit for the party that will never let a perversion remain taboo and hasn’t met a dictator, rapist, murderer or thief that they couldn’t love (unless they are conservative).

In fact, Barack Obama is more liberal than any U.S. senator, voting against identical language of a bill that body passed unanimously, 98-0. In fact, Barack Obama condones infanticide if it would otherwise interfere with abortion.

Also, “by 2022, I will make it a goal to have 6 billion gallons of our fuel come from sustainable, affordable biofuels.”

Under the Obama Five Year Plan, he will be “directing billions in loans and capital to entrepreneurs who are willing to create clean energy businesses and clean energy jobs right here in America.” Those “entrepreneurs” will consequently be bought and paid for Obama supporters.

Under an Obama regime, America will “invest federal resources, including tax incentives and government contracts, into developing next generation biofuels” and “raise our fuel mileage standards four percent every year.”

Except for Hugo Chavez and Barack Obama, the whole world learned in the last century that central economic planning does not work. Yet, that is where we are today in our national energy policy. That is why it is all such a mess.

Under Obama, it will all get much, much worse.

INDEED, WE HAVE just experienced a huge central planning disaster with the ethanol fiasco. Ethanol production consumes at least as much energy as it produces, still costs more than oil counting all of its never ending subsidies, actually harms the environment on net, and causes sharply rising food prices.

Food riots have broken out in poor Third World countries, where people are starving because so much land is being used for ethanol production rather than food production. Yet our central planning geniuses in Congress have “mandated” sharply increased use of ethanol over the coming years. This is precisely the model for Obama’s energy policy.

Well, I think it just ate all of my comments. Premature to declare a disaster yet, there is an import function that has yet to be begin so we shall see. I’m hoping whatever damage I’ve done is reversible. It usually is. Well, it is on blogs.

The damage an Obama presidency will inflict on America , however, will not be so easy to mop up after.It just came to my attention that Obama has dissed our ICE agents, those men and women tasked with apprehending and exporting illegals. Here is the exact verbiage.

When communities are terrorized by ICE immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing, when people are detained without access to legal counsel, when all that is happening, the system just isn’t working, and we need to change it.(Source)

At least Obama is consistent in skewing the meaning of words so far out of range from their given definition that you’d think that someone completely rewrote Webster’s dictionary while most of us were asleep. Just like babies are a “punishment”, in Obama’s mind, ridding America of criminals – which is what illegals are – can best be described as terrorizing.

And quite frankly, screw a bunch of “nursing mothers” and distraught children. That’s the price you pay when you break the law – you put your entire family at risk. Unless of course we are going to extend the same hand wringing sympathy to the wives and girlfriends of busted drug dealers and gang bangers. Perhaps we need to return the homes and savings confiscated in those drug operations so that these poor “terrorized” families can live their lives in peace again.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

It was unclear what the soldiers were doing in the United States, but U.S. law enforcement authorities have long said that current and former Mexican military personnel have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers.

“Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years,” union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. “They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of ‘Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States.’(Source)

The world powers circle jerk. The mad mullahs prepare for the coming of the 12th mahdi. The West, seemingly hardwired for delusion, convinces itself it can live with a nuclear Iran. The fantasy being it will level the nuclear playing field in the Middle East and mirror the nuclear stand off that kept the Ruskies and the Yanks from using their nukes in the last century. But the salve of MAD (mutually assured destruction) is not logical. The state was godless, no religious dogma to cling to. And the Russians wanted to live.

We are dealing with an enemy bent on death, who lives to die for the glory of their god. And yet,despite the close to 12,000 Islamic attacks since 9/11, the homicide bombings, the almost daily arrests of jihadis across the world, we still refuse to accept this. We love life and this love will be the death of us all. It renders us incapable of believing that there are millions of pious fanatics who do no love life.

They didn’t believe Hitler when he wrote Mein Kampf. He made his objectives quite clear. Islamic jihad has made its intentions bloody clear. How dare we not believe them? Ahmadinejad has spewed the most violent annihilationist rhetoric. Who are we to toy we mass destruction? It irks me to hear the left whine about “saving the planet” when no threat to the planet exists (it will outlive us all, trust me). But the threat to mankind is dismissively shrugged off.

I’m restless and I don’t want to be here and yet I am too agitated not to be here. Writing used to be an exercise of meandering, careless discovery, sifting through words, tinkering with sentences. But now, all my words are shackled to the political times we live in and I am so damnably tired of the noisome Obama and his Reprogressive posse of Ameri-phobic, Christo-phobic, hetero-phobic freak show – many of whom continue to end up under his very big bus.

But it’s expeditious for Obama to rid himself of their stink, for now. What he won’t answer is why their stink didn’t dissuade him from ever keeping their company in the first place…unless of course you realize that it is the air he is used to breathing and that their fragrance is a sweet scent in his nostrils.

The latest to have a tire track striping his ass is Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist sympathizer,Mazen Asbahi. Will someone please tell me why the hell we need a freaking muslim coordinator. Who the hell are muslims anyway? Are they not Americans? Are their interests so special, their needs so peculiar, that they have to insert themselves into every cultural and political nook and cranny demanding recognition and consideration? But I digress…

Media Near-Secret: Exxon’s Taxes Almost 3x As Much As Profits

“In addition to making hefty profits, Exxon also had a hefty tax bill. Worldwide, the company paid $10.5 billion in income taxes in the second quarter, $9.5 billion in sales taxes, and over $12 billion in what it called ‘other taxes.’”
….. In other words, Exxon Mobil paid $32.361 billion in taxes in the second quarter, which works out to $4,114 in taxes per second.

Looking at it from another perspective, Exxon Mobil’s profit of about 8.4% of sales, while the taxes paid represented over 23% of sales. (August 1 AM Note: This was originally said to be 32%, but has been corrected. The transposition zombies have been appropriately tracked down and punished.)

It’s remarkable that CNN even reported the taxes paid, as they were the clear exception:

• This UK Guardian article about the Democrats’ objections to Exxon’s profits didn’t.
• Kristen Hays at the Houston Chronicle didn’t.
• Bloomberg didn’t.
• The Associated Press ….. you’re kidding, right?

The word “tax” does not appear in the Guardian, Chronicle, or AP articles. Bloomberg only used the word in connection with the after-tax effect of the company’s Exxon Valdez settlement.

So who are the greedy ones — Exxon shareholders who want a return on their investment, or the myriad government entities who insist that their grubby fingers be in the pie?

And now you are whining because most Americans find your inflated tire fetish amusing. Well, we have to laugh at this point, Obama sweetie, because it is getting rather surreal that you can continue to pontificate, uttering inanities at every opportunity, and the main stream media just let’s you get away with it. It seems like it is affirmative action with you all the way. The media will ignore your every inadequacy in order to assuage their collective white guilt and try to see to it that you get elected into a position that you aren’t in the least bit qualified for.

But sane Americans do have your number, Obama, and a lesson in basic math that your tire gauges can’t inflate.

Properly inflating your tires can improve gas mileage by 3%. Of course, many people already keep their tires properly inflated, and many more are at least close to being properly inflated. Let’s be generous and assume that one-half of the total possible savings would be realized if we all inflated our tires properly; that’s a net gain of 1.5% fuel efficiency.

Americans drive approximately 2,880 miles per year. If we average 24 mpg, we use around 120 billion gallons of gasoline in our vehicles. If, through perfect tire inflation, we improved our collective fuel efficiency by 1.5%, that would be 1.8 billion gallons. A barrel of oil produces around 20 gallons of gasoline, so the total savings available through tire inflation is approximately 90,000,000 barrels of oil annually.

How does this stack up against “all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling?”

ANWR: 10 billion barrels
Outer Continental Shelf: 18 billion barrels (estimated; the actual total is undoubtedly much higher, since exploration has been banned)
Oil shale: 1 trillion barrels

So, on the above assumptions, it would take only 11,308 years of proper tire inflation to equal “all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling.”

Fact is: Obama is not fit to be CIC. Someone else may argue the case of his fitness — or lack thereof – as regards the other executive duties of an American president. But my focus here – and in subsequent pieces we will be publishing over the next weeks and months leading up to the November elections – is his unfitness for supreme command of the American military.

But it’s not just inexperience. When examining Obama’s unfitness for command, we have to look along two tracks: His leadership experience and his life experience – both critical components in any executive decision-making on the part of any CIC.

It’s like the young man who confidently swaggers onto the showroom floor of a Maserati dealership, hoping at the end of the day he’ll be driving out in a brand new Quattroporte. He either has good credit, no credit, or bad credit. Obama has the latter two when it comes to his fitness for command.

On the first track we see Obama has no credit in the sense that his leadership experience is limited to his work as a community organizer, a stint in the Illinois legislature, and a shorter hitch in the U.S. Senate of which he often has been absent. So his only real leadership experience has been the OJT of his presidential campaign, the success of which, he freely admits, has surprised him beyond his wildest imaginings (In other words, his campaign success has been something of a phenomenon beyond his control.).

On the second track, Obama has bad credit in the sense of his life experience: associations and/or long-strong relationships with America haters like his close friend and former spiritual-political advisor the lunatic Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the equally maniacal Michael Pfleger, the late Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis, criminal Tony Rezko, terrorist-bomber Bill Ayers, and so many others connected to the black liberation movement, the dark Chicago underworld, the Communist Party USA, and, yes, radical Islam.

Adventures in Kenya: The Clumsy Arrogance of Barack Hussein Obama

I have over three hundred links covering Barack Obama’s Kenyan adventures and kinfolk. It’s a tangled weave of info, if for no other reason than that one must have some sort of grasp of the region’s tribal wars, which is what Kenyan elections seem to be rooted in. Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga is of the same Luo tribe Obama’s roots are in, and I imagine this 2006 missive to Obama (quoted below) from the Kenyan government may well have been written by a member of a tribe hostile to the Luos, or at least hostile to Raila Obinga.

Though I do not know to what extent, Jerome Corsi’s new book, The Obama Nation, does go into Obama’s relationship to Raila Odinga..

But Kenyan politics is not the focus of this post. I’m confident Corsi’s book has research and documentation beyond any I can match. (Though I will say, many of us bloggers have been writing about Obama’s Kenyan ties for awhile.) No, the focus in this post is on Obama’s imperious swagger, his bumbling arrogance, his casual deceits, his silver tongued manipulation and his readily dispensed disrespect. All present during his Kenyan trip in support of cousin Odinga and all qualities that Obama has delivered during this presidential contest, and will continue to deliver should he ever ascend to his coveted presidential throne.

The only “change” Obama brings to the political table is his black skin. Beyond that, he is simply another puffed up little man dressed up in ill fitting senatorial robes, grabbing for a crown – and as a favorite commenter has expressed it, he is a common politician “lost in the fragrance of [his] own virtue.” What should damn well be evident by now is he is most emphatically not a uniter.

Response To American Senator Barack Obama’s Poorly Informed comments about terrorism, wanted genocide criminals and governance in Kenya:

Senator Barack Obama indicated that he was visiting Africa to help nurture relations between the continent and the United States. His mission, therefore, was warmly welcomed by the Government and the people of Kenya. The fact that he has roots in Kenya endeared him to the people of this country.

However, during his public address at the University of Nairobi, Senator Obama made extremely disturbing statements on issues which it is clear, he was very poorly informed, and on which he chose to lecture the Government and the people of Kenya on how to manage our country.

We would like to make the following facts clear:

a) Kenya is no less vulnerable to terrorism than the United States or any other country. Kenya has in the past suffered incidents of terrorism because of our friendship with the United States and not because as a people, we are less efficient in the management of our security. Indeed, his own country and other countries with higher levels of development, have had more incidences of terrorism despite their sophisticated security systems. Therefore, blaming terrorist attacks in Kenya on possible corruption is highly misplaced and insincere. Using his logic, then, it follows that the terrorist attacks in the United States and other countries are as a result of corrupt border and customs police in his own country and other countries which have experienced incidents of terrorism.

b) The allegation that wanted Rwandese genocide fugitive Felicen Kabuga may have purchased safe haven in Kenya is an insult to the people of this country and negates the fact that Kenya, Rwanda and the United Nations have an excellent track record in collaboration in the search and apprehending of Rwandese suspects. This country has turned over to the United Nations Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda the highest number of genocidal suspects for trial. For that reason also, this country cannot be a safe haven for any genocide suspect and especially Kabuga. If it was an issue of corruption money, as Senator Obama states, then the bounty of US$5 million (Kshs 365 million) being offered by the United States for the apprehension of Kabuga, would be irresistible to the alleged corrupt police. If anybody knows where Kabuga is, this Government would like to know so that we can apprehend him immediately and hand him over to the tribunal.

c) Senator Obama enjoyed the vibrant freedom of expression and wide democratic space existing in this country, during his tour. Instead of acknowledging this big leap in this country, he chose to dwell on none issues as far as the governance of this country is concerned. He ignored the fact that strengthening of democracy and institutions of Governance has been the strongest thrust of this Government. Today, every Kenyan can openly talk about and address issues of corruption without fear and associate himself or herself to any political party he or she chooses. Bold decisions have made to bring down the rate of corruption with great success. For example, the success in our fighting corruption is evidenced by the fact that Kenya is one of the best performing countries in Africa in the collection of public revenue and the economy has had a turn-around from near zero percent (0%), three years ago, to about six percent (6%) economic growth today. This cannot be achieved in a country, which Senator Obama says, is experiencing a “corruption crisis.”

d) Senator Obama also trivialized the harmony and peaceful co-existence that exists between different ethnic groups and races that live in this country, and chose to magnify tribalism as a major problem in this country.

During Senator Obama’s visit, the Government spared no effort in making his stay and travel all over the country enjoyable and fulfilling. Senator Barack Obama is welcome to come again to learn more about the country, the Government and the people of this country.

The Cohen resolution referred to is Steven Cohen’s pandering piece of nauseous legislation that presumes to render an apology for slavery from all Americans. (Not getting one from me) There is no need to specifically refer to reparations,it is inferred – “…rectifying “the lingering consequences…” – and it is expected. Doesn’t matter anyway, Obama and his incoming passel of marxists have it handled.

Now I wonder who gets our tax dollars first. As Obama’s destructive policies roll out, will the paycheck you busted your ass to earn be buying 40 mules and land for those oh-so aggrieved “african” americans, or will your pay check be distributing “social justice” to the millions of global whiners who will supposedly benefit from Obama’s Global Poverty Tax.

Or you could vote for McCain. Face it, McCain is hard to swallow, but swallowing Obama is asking for a prolonged and pernicious death.

After these links and below the fold I’ve reproduced the Resolution Regarding Reparations For Slavery, submitted in 2000, by none other than Trinity United Church of Christ and University Church. In it’s preface it states that these institutions – “have held church school classes and study groups on reparations.” I suppose we are expected to believe that Obama – the passionate “community activist”, the law “professor” who hammered his students about “social justice” – was sleeping through those classes and that he had no input into the writing of the resolution. Yeah, right, and he loves America too.

Soros, Famine, Energy, and the End of Sovereign Nations

If any of you remember the movie Dune, Baron Vladimir Harkonen was a particularly nasty piece of work, addicted to power and depravity and more than willing to devastate a planet to sate his appetite. This image has always brought Soros to mind, though Soros isn’t the only suppurating, maggot ridden, power crazy, elitist and would be dictator playing slice and dice with this planet. There have been, and are, many – but none of us were paying attention.

When you start connecting the dots, the manner of our demise as a free nation and the West’s moribound defense of all of our treasured ideals becomes increasingly evident. A Soros here, a think tank there, an infiltrated academia, a global media machine that eclipses any method of indoctrination ever devised by man and citizens in thrall to satiating their ever growing appetite for the venal and the irrelevant. In his book, The Impact Of Science On Society, written in 1952, Bertrand Russell wrote, “At present the population of the world is increasing at about 58,000 per diem. Russell is expressing a view, long held by many who might be considered “oligarchs”, and who, for many generations, have held themselves to be superior to the vast majority of the population of this planet.

The simple fact is that the world is not “too full.” It might feel like it is, sometimes, as our basic economic infrastructure crumbles round our ears, and as poverty forces the people of large parts of the planet into having large families.

Today’s hikes in oil and food prices are not the result of population fuelled demand, unavailability, or as a lack of capability to produce. They are purely artificial, as the result of Policy.

Perhaps akin to the policy that the Democrats and RINOs are perpetuating with their refusal to drill or build nuclear power plants??

A Democratic senator on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee inadvertently explained why her colleagues have no intention of ending the moratorium on offshore oil drilling or increasing the areas open for exploration and production – no matter how popular the idea might be with gas prices soaring.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV’s “Money and Politics” last night, Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., explained Democrats don’t want to increase supplies of oil and gasoline because they want to wean Americans off of petroleum products.(Source)

On the 18th June, Goergie told a Budapest newspaper: “Rather than expecting energy prices to go down somehow, we should accept that it must go further up first, for us to be able to solve the [long-term] problem. Prices must go up first so as to encourage people to consume less.”

So Georgie wants us to consume less

Along with soaring oil prices, add into the mix soaring food prices, partly due to pushing biofuels, and you have the makings of another perfect storm. A storm which George Soros intends to profit from.

Georgie’s mechanism for pushing prices up is typified by his recent acquisition of all the commodities trading and merchandising business of the giant multi-national ConAgra Foods. This acquisition was made by a private investment fund managed by Soros Fund Management LLC, acting as part of a consortium with New York hedge fund Ospraie Management and New York asset manager General Atlantic. The $2.8 billion deal is estimated as the largest acquisition ever by a hedge fund.

The agreement includes 144 ConAgra facilities, located primarily in North America. Renamed Gavilon, the new company provides physical distribution and merchandising of grains, feed ingredients, fertilizer, and energy products; as well as agriculture, energy, and other commodity trading activities, and “risk management services” — i.e., commodity futures derivatives speculation.

It doesn’t stop there. It goes without saying that Georgie is right in there pushing biofuels. Another string to the bow, the biofuels insanity is a strategy that even the greenies don’t want. The ConAgra operations provide “procurement and marketing services” for ethanol and bio-diesel producers, supply chain infrastructure, as well as financial hedging.

The incredible power that would be accomplished from a massive concentration of food stocks under the control of a single agency did not escape the authors of this report to the Club of Rome. The reigning food situation in the world was dominated by the great dependence of many countries on the North American breadbasket. This gave the Americans a considerable amount of power over their dependent countries.

“the American Secretary for Agriculture who has observed: “Food is a weapon. It is one of the principal tools in our negotiating kit” ” – 29

The further centralization of food stocks under a single international power would only increase the abuse of food supplies not decrease it. This, quite naturally, is the point. The result of this control is well described by Bertrand Russell (who strongly supported this idea) in his 1952 book The Impact of Science of Society [2]:

“To deal with this problem [increasing population and decreasing food supplies] it will be necessary to find ways of preventing an increase in world population. If this is to be done otherwise than by wars, pestilence, and famines, it will demand a powerful international authority. This authority should deal out the world’s food to the various nations in proportion to their population at the time of the establishment of the authority. If any nation subsequently increased its population it should not on that account receive any more food. The motive for not increasing population would therefore be very compelling. What method of preventing an increase might be preferred should be left to each state to decide.” – 124
